Back in January I was visiting the house I just purchased but had yet to move in to. As I was backing the rental out, one of my garage doors came closing on the roof of the vehicle. It bent the bottom of the door and the weatherstripping came off. It was freezing and dramatically lowered the garage temp in a few minutes. I was able to have someone come out the next day and fix in under an hour and a half for a couple hundred dollars. Called garage door medics to fix several things. (Broken spring, outside keypad replacement, rubber seal on 2 garage doors and re-programming of 3 remotes and replacement of motion sensors. We got a same day appointment. The tech Doug arrived within 2hrs. He was pleasant and professional. He had everything we needed in his truck. Got the job done within 1hr. Awesome service, with knowledgeable staff. He insisted that he wouldn't leave until everything we wanted was fixed! It felt a little pricey, but this was the first garage service bill Ive paid, so not sure how much these things average. All in all, everything we needed got done on the spot and it was worth every penny. read more

I highly recommend DOUG ERNST of Garage Door Medics! He showed up to our home within 1 hour from calling, (I believe it was 45 minutes)... Doug was very friendly, professional, knowledgeable, etc... and he fixed our 'old school garage door' SO FAST, AND AFFORDABLE !!!! {Yay!!} ... when other companies said "No way", or "You'll need NEW Doors",etc..." I called GDM because my garage door started to open and close at a slight angle, getting stuck and causing stress on the opener. It's an older door with lots of life on it, but i'm not quite ready ($$) for a replacement, and only wanted to fix the door. Howard came out and tackled the problem like a true troubleshooter. His goal wasn't to force me into a new door, rather, he helped me get my door back in order. He leveled the door, tightened and lubed as well as added a new strut to firm up a sagging panel. He was honest about the year or so i'd get out of the fix...but that is what i needed, a fix. He checked everything to make sure there wasn't anything else that might be wrong. Problem solved. I can't speak to any of the other technicians at GDM, but i will request Howard when the door needs to be replaced. You should too. Trust me. read more

I had my spring break after my wife left for work. I called and the office staff yhey were very professional and scheduled an appointment. The service technician called and arrived during the window the office gave. The service technician was also very professional and explained what he needed to do the job. He noticed that my cable was starting to fray and replaced them as well. He also checked for proper functioning of the opener. I would recommend this place to everyone. They were also offering a Military discount as well. read more

I was scheduled through Lowe's to have a new garage door opener installed after my last one went out. They told me that after 2 business days the scheduler from Garage Door Medics would be in touch. After 3 business days I contacted Lowe's to help me get ahold of the company and get my opener installed. The Lowe's rep told me that the company would be in contact with me soon to schedule an appointment. Fast forward 1.5 weeks later... I still hadn't heard from Garage Door Medics. I contacted Lowe's again on a Monday who put me on a 3 way call with the scheduler. They schedule me over the phone for that Wednesday between 12 and 4. I wasn't happy about missing half a day's work but agreed and waited. Wednesday comes and I get home around noon... I wait and nobody shows up and nobody calls. I call Garage Door Medics and they say they had me scheduled for Thursday between 12 and 4... No. Over the phone we scheduled Wednesday. I tried to explain that I would have not scheduled for Thursday or Friday because of work conflicts. They asked me to waste another half day of work, making money and called me a liar. I cancelled the install, returned the opener and now here I am. The communication, the customer service was awful, they were unwilling to help out with anything until I told them I was cancelling. I'll pay extra somewhere else for better customer service and a better experience. I will strongly recommend against Garage Door Medics to any of my friends or family in the future. read more

I saw an ad on Facebook and within 15 minutes gdmedics contacted me and said they could come out and service my garage door and motor. I could not be more please with their company. Not only did they do a great job but it was quick and my garage door purrs and it is so quiet. I would recommend them to anyone who needs service on their door or motor. They were in and out within 20 minutes. I am going to go online to my two groups and tell them what a great service I received. read more

i was really impressed by garage door medics. their receptionist, bridget, tried to problem solve with me over the phone first and only when that didn't work, did we schedule a service appointment. the service technician, howard, was extremely capable and helpful and, in addition to fixing my garage door, spent time with me discussing preventive maintenance that i could do on my own. the service call was prompt, and i felt he went above and beyond my expectations in addressing unrelated issues such as cracked hinges and replacing an uncovered wire (and didn't even charge me for the latter). i also felt that their prices were very fair. read more

Spoke with a lady from the main office today. I guess she is a manager although she had to consult with the service manager for a answer. The service manager obviously is not big on good customer service. Basically Garage Door Medic is not going to do anything on their end to fix the problem. They are blaming the brand of garage door opener I have. The service manager says the wires/cords get old and run lose on this brand all the time often getting tangled and broken. I asked if my wire/chord was getting old why didn't Howard replace it when he was out before it broke. I did not get an answer to that nor do I really expect to. They have basically blamed my brand of garage door opener and will not fix the problem without me spending money for a new one. I don't have confidence in this company or their technician to do a job right the first time. Apparently I have a seized motor due to a situation that could have easily been avoided. Will not use Garage Door Medic ever again or recommend them to anyone. I think they should change their name to something else because my garage door is broken no thanks to them. read more
