    My parents flooded their kitchen accidentally. We had a few flooring contractors tell us it was…read moreruined and needed to be replaced. Canyon Custom had Jake come out and assured us that after it dried out, it could be refinished and good as new. It took over 3 months to get dried out over the summer, Jake checked it a couple of times. By July, he determined it was ready to sand and refinish. It looked good after, for about 3 weeks. Very quickly it started separating and cupping. I contacted them again, they had no ideas as to why it was doing that. Moisture in the wood was measured again and it was still dry. Originally they guaranteed it for a year, pretty standard, but now they won't do anything and won't respond to me My elderly parents are now out thousands of dollars and have a floor that clearly needs to be replaced. I really wish we would have listened to the other flooring guys, these guys SEEMED good until their service failed and they won't stand behind their work.

Heather apologized after an initial communications misstep, but they just dropped the ball too many times. Jake came over to measure the room, but he never sent the estimate like he said he would. I tried calling to find out what was up, but they kept playing phone games and gave the impression of not caring about me or the job. I guess these folks can afford to jerk people around. Yet another business that doesn't want my money. I'm not sure how ghosting potential clients is profitable, but it seems to be going around a lot lately - maybe the ghosters know something I don't, but it really irritates, frustrates, and inconveniences the clients.

    Wise Review & Final Overall Experience Grade: 4/10 Cabinets…read more& Bookshelves - 6/10 o Positives: Final product is almost as expected o Negatives: 6 months from start to finish, finish trims not ordered and then after they arrived were used on different job, requiring reorder and more waiting. Fireplace Stonework - 5/10 o Positives: Looks almost as expected. o Negatives: Some stone fitting issues. And 4-5 months from start to finish, wrong color material ordered, and a few installation issues. Dining Room Cabinet Backsplash - 5/10 o Positives: Matches fireplace very well o Negatives: Grouting mistakes by installers which Wise would not remedy and required fixing after installation. And a few stone fitting issues. Business Practices & Communication - 2/10 o Positives: agreement on final product specifications and look o Negatives: 6 months from start to finish with numerous project management and material supplier delivery date issues. No admission by Wise of problems and issues, nor any offer by Wise to remedy the delays and quality issues. Our cabinets and bookshelves above the cabinets, on both sides of our fireplace, from Wise are very nice now that they are complete, and exactly as we imagined and as ordered, six months ago! Wise took 6 months longer than contracted, making our overall experience very poor, and we cannot recommend Wise for any other cabinet or tile work we are anticipating. There were a number of cabinet and stone delivery timing issues. We requested the work to be done by a specific date and Wise repeatedly assured us it would be done before our date. Wise was very late, not making our date by 4 weeks for the cabinets, and almost 6 months late for the finish work on the bookshelves above the cabinets, and 4 months late for the stonework on the fireplace, and a dining room cabinet backsplash. Additionally, Wise did not check the actual color tone of the fireplace's existing stone (which they installed three years earlier) to match it with the new stonework and had to reorder the stone causing a few months delay to finish the fireplace and backsplash. And, when installing the dining room cabinet backsplash, the grouting was so poorly done, and they would not fix it, so I had to fix it myself. The final cabinet/bookshelves are very nicely done. The stone fireplace and dining room backsplash are okay after my repairing some improper grouting by Wise. The stone installation and project management from Wise was very poor on so many levels. At every step of the process Wise sales manager and project manager blamed all of his mistakes on us or his vendors. And to add insult to injury, when the work was completed Wise threatened to send the final 25% balance of our bill to collections after five days, even after a phone call in which I agreed to pay the balance by the end of the week, which agreement I kept paying them in full.

    They charged the landlord an exorbitant amount WAY before even starting the repairs and then…read more"conveniently" couldn't show up twice during scheduled times, then ghosted me because the "scheduler went on vacation", then couldn't reschedule for any day that would work for me etc. I called out of work three times trying to accommodate them. No integrity, no professionalism. Think long and hard before working with them. I especially want to say this: property management companies, PLEASE do not hire them, they will cause financial loss to the tenants, property, owners, and management. As the saying goes: "you think it's expensive to hire a professional, try hiring an amateur". I've already incurred so much in personal property damage waiting for these guys to come out an make repairs (furniture and appliances all had to be moved outside because they needed a "cleared floor to work with"), there's mice making their way through the unrepaired floor, I've lost wages, and I think I even got a couple gray hairs trying to deal with them. Its been over a month and a half since they were supposed to have completed the repairs.
