Wise Review & Final Overall Experience Grade: 4/10 Cabinets & Bookshelves - 6/10 o Positives: Final product is almost as expected o Negatives: 6 months from start to finish, finish trims not ordered and then after they arrived were used on different job, requiring reorder and more waiting. Fireplace Stonework - 5/10 o Positives: Looks almost as expected. o Negatives: Some stone fitting issues. And 4-5 months from start to finish, wrong color material ordered, and a few installation issues. Dining Room Cabinet Backsplash - 5/10 o Positives: Matches fireplace very well o Negatives: Grouting mistakes by installers which Wise would not remedy and required fixing after installation. And a few stone fitting issues. Business Practices & Communication - 2/10 o Positives: agreement on final product specifications and look o Negatives: 6 months from start to finish with numerous project management and material supplier delivery date issues. No admission by Wise of problems and issues, nor any offer by Wise to remedy the delays and quality issues. Our cabinets and bookshelves above the cabinets, on both sides of our fireplace, from Wise are very nice now that they are complete, and exactly as we imagined and as ordered, six months ago! Wise took 6 months longer than contracted, making our overall experience very poor, and we cannot recommend Wise for any other cabinet or tile work we are anticipating. There were a number of cabinet and stone delivery timing issues. We requested the work to be done by a specific date and Wise repeatedly assured us it would be done before our date. Wise was very late, not making our date by 4 weeks for the cabinets, and almost 6 months late for the finish work on the bookshelves above the cabinets, and 4 months late for the stonework on the fireplace, and a dining room cabinet backsplash. Additionally, Wise did not check the actual color tone of the fireplace's existing stone (which they installed three years earlier) to match it with the new stonework and had to reorder the stone causing a few months delay to finish the fireplace and backsplash. And, when installing the dining room cabinet backsplash, the grouting was so poorly done, and they would not fix it, so I had to fix it myself. The final cabinet/bookshelves are very nicely done. The stone fireplace and dining room backsplash are okay after my repairing some improper grouting by Wise. The stone installation and project management from Wise was very poor on so many levels. At every step of the process Wise sales manager and project manager blamed all of his mistakes on us or his vendors. And to add insult to injury, when the work was completed Wise threatened to send the final 25% balance of our bill to collections after five days, even after a phone call in which I agreed to pay the balance by the end of the week, which agreement I kept paying them in full. read more

They charged the landlord an exorbitant amount WAY before even starting the repairs and then "conveniently" couldn't show up twice during scheduled times, then ghosted me because the "scheduler went on vacation", then couldn't reschedule for any day that would work for me etc. I called out of work three times trying to accommodate them. No integrity, no professionalism. Think long and hard before working with them. I especially want to say this: property management companies, PLEASE do not hire them, they will cause financial loss to the tenants, property, owners, and management. As the saying goes: "you think it's expensive to hire a professional, try hiring an amateur". I've already incurred so much in personal property damage waiting for these guys to come out an make repairs (furniture and appliances all had to be moved outside because they needed a "cleared floor to work with"), there's mice making their way through the unrepaired floor, I've lost wages, and I think I even got a couple gray hairs trying to deal with them. Its been over a month and a half since they were supposed to have completed the repairs. read more

They did not finish the job and no accountability or attempt to fix damages ONLY rudeness and avoiding the issue. In addition their prices are well above most other flooring companies in Utah. I love the new carpet that WISE installed for me! They were easy to work with, completed the work on time and the product is high quality. About a month ago, I reached out to WISE Flooring for a bid to replace all the carpet in my house. They quoted a $30 fee to come measure, and that fee would be taken out of the final price, if selected. I had measurements and bids from several other places and asked if they could use the measurements from one of those. They were happy to do that and came back with a bid lower than the one I sent them. The price, along with their speedy responses won them the business. The carpet I picked out was in stock, so they were able to schedule installation for a few days later. I put deposit of 2/3 down, with the rest due at completion. The installers were on time, quick in their work, and very respectful of my home. They got the job done in the quoted time and did good work. Toward the end of the job, someone from the office stopped by to inspect the installers' work. He was very friendly and paid good attention to the work being done. I appreciated that. Now that I have beautiful carpet in place, I'm sure I'll be back-they also do laminate and tile flooring, cabinets and blinds-oh, my! This could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship. read more

Impressed with the customer service, sales experience and of course the outcome. It started with Ty the sales guy who immediately called and stopped by to give us a bid after filling out our homeadvisor form online. He gave me multiple options for our flooring, including finishing our hardwood floors and laying down new carpet. We were under a time crunch and they got things rolling the same week! After receiving a few bids, Wendy (owner) walked me through the options she had and gave me an education on carpet quality so I could compare apples to apples. I learned a lot and of course, the outcome was gorgeous. Many complements about the carpet were given during our open house. The installer was very professional and did an incredible job. My floor, although it looks great, has been nothing but trouble. We did carpet and a wood laminate and it seems like every day we find something new wrong with the flooring. Steve did come out and his crew tried to fix a couple things which we were grateful but he also blamed a really poor install on things that do not affect the quality. Before we had the work done, I went through and cleaned everything, screwed down sub-floor to eliminate squeaks and was OCD about making sure everything was in great shape for a flawless install. Having installed a floating wood laminate in my last house, I would say I know a little about how to do it, these guys...clueless. I have countless squeaks due to the floor being too tight to the walls. This was blamed on my island in the kitchen but having spoken to other flooring experts, that is not the case at all. I have quarter round coming up because it wasn't secured properly and I have had to fix. We also have a couple spots in the carpet where some object is clearly under everything (just found that today). There is another spot on the stairs where they must have run out of pad cause it feels like a hole strait down to the wood. For the amount I paid, I would expect more. Unfortunately I would not recommend Wise for your flooring needs. I am now debating what to do to get my floor fixed without breaking the bank. read more

Like another reviewer here I have had a very bad experience with Wise flooring. Tiles have cracked and grout has lifted up and came out in many places in my floor. Beware of low quality installers and this store that employs them. I called 1 year and 2 months after my floor was installed and was told they only have a one year warranty on installation so I basically need to replace my kitchen floor, again, at my own expense. Do not use Wise Flooring! You will spend additional money hiring another contractor to finish the job. Don't be scammed by the fake 5 star ratings. This is a long review but it is completely honest. If you do not have time to read, please scroll to the bottom for a quick overview. We started the process with Wise back in June of 2017 for the install of Manington laminate for our office, kitchen, and living room and carpet for the upstairs, which totaled just shy of 14k that we paid for in cash to Wise. The project is now finished in Sept 2017 and not because it's complete, but because we just gave up in working with them. I have to hire another contractor and pay 2k to fix what they messed up on. Just like the other commenters, we have had nothing but issues in working with every person at Wise. We started with the kitchen first as the carpet needed to be special ordered. They were ones behind schedule/late but we were forgiving and continued through. The process took about a week, which we thought was amazing.....until we saw why it was only a week. When Wise claimed they were finished, the entire floor squeaked, cracked and had extreme flex throughout the entire floor. In addition, the floor and outside the house was a complete mess. They didnt clean up. Juan, their sales rep, stated the flex was normal and they don't clean the floors. He stated, "we don't do that. It's your job to clean". In frustration I called Steve who agreed to come look. Just like other people said, Steve blamed it on our sub-floor, beams, anything he could blame other than his team. I was furious and threatened to cancel the carpet install until this was resolved. He agreed to fix the issue once we found out his installers never prepped the floor when the tile was removed....which is against Maningtons install guide/warranty. Steve agreed to fix this issue but only fixed half of the floor. By this time the carpet came and was to be installed. Supposedly, this installer was the best installer in the state......I fail to see this as the installer ran out of pad and tried to hide cardboard in it's place, uneven carpet, UN-stretched and not installed under baseboards in some areas, and visible seams throughout. Overall: 1. Total project is several weeks/months behind schedule. 2. Rude management (they will argue with you and claim everything is your houses fault and not theirs..our house is 4 years old) 3. Wise has been over a total of 6 extra times to fix issues they created. 4. We still have poor laminate installed as half of our sub-floor wasnt prepped. I wonder if Manington will warranty laminate due to this? 5. Squeaky and popping out laminate 6. Scratches and dings all over our house due to careless installers. 7. Visible seams in carpet 8. Carpet installer replacing pad with cardboard 9. Carpet installer not stretching all carpet 10. No installer has cleaned up after themselves. Be prepared to clean up after them. 11. Used our $600 rug that was in storage in the garage as a tool mat. Yes..this is completely true. This company should be reported to Utah licensing, BBB and their dealer privilege revoked as they perform poor quality, do not prep and give a bad names for the products they install. Stay away from these guys. It took 2 weeks for them to get me a cabinet quote. When I received the quote they had included install when I told them I didn't need it. They put the wrong color and had the drawer configuration wrong. Then, as if this wasn't bad enough, the lady calls me and tells me she made a mistake on the quote and the price was actually double. Steve and Wendy have been more than wonderful. I first had them put in carpet in my remodeled basement and other areas. Their crew was wonderful, professional, and did a great job. I then had them tile a bathroom. Again, they did a great job. I had a contractor ruin a wood floor in my kitchen who then promptly disappeared. I knew it would be difficult to match and did not want to replace the wood throughout the main floor of the house. Steve came up with a tile design that worked and have had nothing but compliments on the look. I also had them do all the blinds in my home. Steve and Wendy took the time to find the right look and price point that I needed. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company for price and professionalism, but more importantly the crew. Wise flooring did wood flooring in 2 bedrooms plus laminate in about 1/2 of our downstairs. They also put ceramic tile in our kitchen. I loved how they communicated with me. They called back promptly or answered my texts even when they were closed. They made sure the schedule of each of the projects worked with my schedule. The crews cleaned up at the end of each day. The price was reasonable considering the amount of work that was done. Steve did a final inspection and found a few things he didn't like which he corrected and really made a difference, even though I hadn't noticed some of them. I would highly recommend Wise Flooring if you need new wood or ceramic flooring. read more

If you want cracked tile and grout that has holes in it and is falling out this is the company for you. They put chipped tile in and when the reset the toilet they did not even set it right. The tile setter left material all over the bathtub, lawn and driveway (no clean up). Update after many calls they showed up with out calling and have not been back since to fix the issues! I would highly recommend finding someone other then Wise to do you tile work. read more

They placed our tile the wrong direction after we had taken pictures and spent time in person going over everything. Then, instead of fixing the issue, they blame the customer and pull off the job. The minute you order anything from them they start paperwork for a Lien on your home!!! Then after Steve (the Owner) screws up on his measuring skills...not a little but ALOT he will call and threaten to put that lien on your home. He goes behind your back and orders more carpet at full price, when he told you a ruminant he already had and sold to you at half off would fit your space. Then when it doesn't fit and you have two big spaces not carpeted for 3 weeks while he orders new carpet at full price without as much as a phone call, he will then call threatening to put that lien on your home and not apologize until you inform him you have spoke with a lawyer. Dishonest, sneaky, and lying company. Also his wife is raunchy and mean when you try to call to figure out why he is leaving you voicemails saying you owe money for his screw up. read more

Steve and Wendy were so helpful in helping my wife and I find the perfect carpet for our home. Being new homeowners, this was our first time purchasing carpet, and frankly, we were in over our heads. Both Steve and Wendy were very patient and helpful in finding carpet that was perfect for our home. Steve went out of his way to make sure our installation went smoothly, and was able to save us hundreds over the same carpet we received a quote at from RC Willey. We didn't need help removing our tile before replacing it with carpet, but he offered to have his demolition team come out for a very reasonable price. Absolutely HORRIBLE company! Do not EVER do business with this company. Steve and Wendy lack any and all customer service skills. They are rude and disrespectful to their customers. They book their installers on too many jobs at one time, which delays what they promise to be a 2 day job to be an 8 day job. When I called to find out when they would finish the job, both Steve & Wendy are rude saying the job will get done when it gets done. Wendy goes as far as to yell on the phone saying to quit calling or she'll charge more. Don't believe any reviews you read on their Facebook site, their left by family members. Steve measures incorrectly & then doesn't have enough product for the job causing my home to remain torn up for nearly a month. No follow up calls are made, no discounts offered for their errors, and they don't stand by their prices. Very shady business practices. Stay away from this company! read more
