The first time, he accidentally cancelled it in his calendar. Fortunately, that worked out, as it ended up being a stormy day. Our adjuster was nice enough to come by personally to let us know we needed to reschedule. So Craig was off the hook, even though he wouldn't have been at our home anyway. The 2nd time, he read my text wrong concerning our insurance adjuster appointment, and Craig was unable to make it to town to meet our adjuster. When I said we were going to go with another roofing company, he rudely said, "Fine! Go with another company then!" Do NOT use this company, as they cannot seem to get their schedules correct, and they don't seem to care about their customers!

Then, they gave me an estimate for replacing my floors that were damaged by water. They only replaced half of the wood in the estimate but would only take $200 off the almost $3000 estimate. Jo, the lady that answers the phones and schedules everything, was rude and unhelpful. I asked around about the company and everyone I spoke to said Jo was mean and hard to work with. Jason Yount is an unethical, crooked "contractor" that will lie to you, take advantage of you, manipulate you, and will perform the most inferior quality work. He will also NOT take responsibility for any of the damages he has caused. When we gave him a list of our frustrations with him and the work that he performed, his response to us was "I understand guys. I'm frustrated too." Here are the main issues that we faced: - Both sinks in the kitchen ended up having leaks. TWO different leaks. One of the sinks lead to water damage to the ceiling in the basement. Jason will not accept responsibility and will not pay for the repairs. We tried to file with his insurance but they informed us that general contractors are not liable in the state of Arkansas if a subcontractor performs the work. Jason didn't do any of the remodel work himself. He subbed out every part of the job. We are having an issue filing with the subcontractors insurance as well. We will end up paying out of pocket the thousands of dollars it will take to repair the damage caused by the leak. - We had the kitchen countertops replaced. The subcontractors were Northwest Granite. We aren't exactly sure what happened while they were installing the countertops but their fingerprints will not come off of the granite. The company has sent someone out five different times to try to get the fingerprints out. All we've noticed is that whatever substance created the fingerprints is just being smeared along the countertop as they've tried to scrub off the fingerprints. Two of the times that they came out to address the problem, they left us the chemicals and basically said that we needed to scrub the fingerprints out ourselves. Another kitchen remodeling company told us that it will be impossible to get the substance out because they've ground it so far down into the granite. - We asked for the corbels to be removed from the cabinets. Several pieces of wood from the countertops were broken in the process. Jason refused to take responsibility and would not fix the pieces of wood that were broken in half. A cabinet specialist came out and give us a $300-$500 price tag to fix the cabinet damage. - We were never told that the backsplash was going to be broken in the process of the countertops being replaced. It was a huge shock when I went to look at the progress and saw that the bottom row of backsplash had been beaten in half. In the process, the Sheetrock behind the backsplash was beaten in. The Sheetrock will need to be replaced on the entire wall now. There was ZERO communication warning us that this would happen. - As mentioned above, there was an initial leak in the main kitchen sink that I caught on the very first day that the work was done. Multiple issues came from work that Joe Roseblum with Marine Veteren Plumbing performed. - The work was supposed to start the last week of May but it wasn't actually performed until early August. Jason is TERRIBLE at communicating. You can call or text him multiple times and not receive an answer. Our experience was that he would introduce us to his subcontractors and then leave us to arrange all of the details. The ONLY time Jason stepped in was when I was ready to call the job off due to the material issues, communication issues, and timing issues. - Jason was supposed to be replacing the vent hood. I told him which vent hood model I wanted TWO MONTHS before he even started trying to order it. By the time he got around to ordering the vent hood, the model was on backorder. It is now no longer being sold. - We picked out faucets from Lowe's that we wanted to use on the island sink and main sink. Jason told us that he wouldn't install the ones that we selected because they were cheap and low grade quality (Moen brand). He forced us to select "high end" fixtures from his supplier. - Last but definitely not least is the money. We have never received a final receipt for the work performed. I have no doubt that if he were to read this and give us a final receipt with the breakdown of costs, he would try to get more money out of us. He totally lowballed the estimate. We were told that our budget was $8k for the granite/quartz and that it was a generous budget. The level we ended up selecting was either a high 1 or a low 2 (out of 7). We picked one of the most inexpensive types of granite and still went over budget. I feel like Jason was trying to give us a low initial estimate with a low material budget so that we would end up choosing him over other contractors. Another issue is that the price quoted was for 3 FULL slabs of granite. They definitely didn't use 3 full slabs and we weren't given any remaining granite. Jason lied to us and denied this when we tried to address it with him. DO NOT work with this sleazy, immoral man. We will be reporting the him to the Contractors Board of Arkansas.

I am extremely grateful for their hard and professional work - the ultimate validation to me was when their mitigation work was complete and my contractor for repairs was ready to begin construction. As soon as the work started I realized we were in trouble. They use sub contractors who are God awful messy and leave giant piles of trash everywhere they go. The work is sub par to straight trash. All of which you would think NWA restore it would be ready and willing to fix. They had to tear out flooring and redo it. They tore up our trim and weren't even going to fix it until we complained repeatedly. We have had to do several change orders and I firmly believe we will be left to figure out how to get the workmanship we agreed upon elsewhere. The project manager Chris loves to say he'll take a look and then never gets back to you. We have been left in the dark communication wise from the start, unless we reach out with very specific questions. Just all in all the worst experience I have ever had. I wish after mitigation we had parted ways. This process has been more traumatic than the initial flood.

When we received heavy rains, water gushed through this gap towards our house. Water got into our interior wall and under the wood floors, causing thousands of dollars of damage. I had them come take a look at the gutter, and they agreed that it was poorly installed and damaged. Bryan from Norton's told me numerous times that he would get our floor fixed. Well, he was lying to my face and did not try to help us out. Norton's spent the next month avoiding my questions about fixing my floor, and finally Beau Norton called me and told me they would not pay for damages and that there was never a problem with my gutter (which he never looked at). He interrupted every sentence I tried to say and was unbelievably rude. I only gave them 1 star because I could not give 0 stars. Norton's did poor work and then made it worse by being jerks. Find someone else to do your roof.

Although he was a pleasant fellow, he said he's sorry; he wants to make everyone happy, but they build houses, not doors with stairs and didn't have time to take on my job. I don't have a problem with being busy or only talking on big jobs. However, to make an appt and have someone wait, not show up and then say sorry we can't do your job is bad a business practice. Please be honest and don't waste people's time if you feel the job won't bring in the revenue you require. Our time is important too.
