Gave me a quote to maintain my small lawn. Reasonable price. He said they would mow, clean up leaves, branches, etc., fertilize and fight the weeds. Started ok and was happy with the work. Went out of the country for a couple months and returned home to a dead lawn. Turns out a sprinkler failed and it was flooding the gutter with water and no water got on the lawn. He waited more than a month to let me know. I should have gotten out then, but no... had them remove the old grass, prepare the soil, and lay down new sod. This is the worst I've seen. The sod itself was great, but they layed it down without having the edges of the sod butt up against each other so there were gaps. They never rolled the sod, so it was uneven and lumpy. I had another landscaper come in and try to fix it. That still wasn't enough for me, I guess, and I let them keep maintaining the lawn. I noticed one day that all I heard was the leaf blowers and then nothing. Turns out they stop mowing in the winter and just blew the leaves behind the bushes and trees, and up against the fence. That was when I had enough and got rid of them. This is why I generally do my own yard work. Why pay someone who is going to not care about their work and the end product? read more

What a wonderful job Fernando and his team from Garcia Landscape did to complete our back and side yard. We are in a new build and we had pavers put in last January in the backyard and nothing else. We wanted decomposed granite, artificial turf, and a small planted area put in as well as to rock our front side yard. Right before they started we requested also a 90 foot fence to be moved. They were able to do it all! A week before completion I found out they would finish the day before Thanksgiving. I have been working with Fernando on my backyard for a few months now. I have taken so many before and after pictures. I had to put them in a video for faster viewing. The pictures do not tell the entire story. His crew had to jack hammer out an old Koi pond, rip up all the old drains and replace them. He took down 6 trees that the roots were pulling up the concrete and heading toward the pool. He had to grade the lawn so it will drain properly and put in extra drains so I don't have mud puddles (like before). Rocks, uplighting...you name it...they did it. Bought our house and it came with everything, except a backyard. Lol. It was all rocks and soil and we knew this is not your typical DIY. So, went to Yelp and looked and received several quotes. We needed a landscaper to make our backyard a REAL backyard, at our budget. That's where Fernando came in. He was on time, responsive and worked with us to achieve the backyard we wanted.
