Where do I start! We ( table of 13)arrived at 1:45 on a Saturday after a softball tournament was cancelled. Left at 4:50! Maybe 4 tables occupied maybe! A table of 20+ walked in 25 min after us They were served food ordered delivered and ate and we still have not received food. They paid and still no food!! We complained apparently no manager on duty. Then told the reason they were served first was because the waitress beat her to put the order in. Staff saw us waiting and waiting but never acknowledged us or apologize until WE said something. Then told us waitress was new and I figured that out real quick. Took her forever to get drinks and then when putting in order she came back to our table 5 times to verify items. I said ok if new why did you let her take such a large table or help her. They told her well she wanted your table so oh well and that is the only way she is going to learn! WHAT?! At our expense. Then only one meal at a time coming out. By the time the time the hamburgers came out (4) everyone had finished eating. THEN the kids were served last and one of the burgers was never brought to one of them that her mom had to share hers because she was starving! Then it finally came out! Mind you we have already been there over 2+hours! No one no one apologized just kept making excuses! Also people have come and gone been served and the excuses was those waitress ate experienced and yours wasn't!! So we go pay and another half hour!! Bill a hot mess over charged and then told us kids burgers were a patty only not a full burger. Does not say on menu!! So charged adult burgers!!! Then the lady who said she was not a manager came to the register because the poor girl at the register was so confused. Then she tells us she is the manager! What?!! So confused!! So it was a horrible horrible experience sad thing is this nothing will be done about it because it's in a small town and not much options there. read more

The steak and shrimp were absolutely fantastic. There is a huge screen with sports displayed so you could enjoy a bucket of beers during the big games. The service has been just as good as the food. I've been twice in one week and I will be going again soon. read more

They were out of so much stuff on the menu the owner did come apologize and explained the issue he made a personal dish that was fabulous I do wish the fajitas veggies were cut a little bit thinner,but that's my preference. the were very chunky and undercooked. I ordered a breaded chicken sandwich the second visit which was a to go order and it was the worst sandwich ever I would rather go to the sonic for a chicken sandwich than get one from there again. read more

I can hardly bring myself to eat anywhere else when I come to Pearsall: their kitchen and staff: the best!

They just opened up... when I was a kid they were amazing. Now that they remodeled and re-opened it's just as good!

Waitress was very nice but the owner isn't I have a service animal and she asked me for documentation and said he wasn't allowed to sit beside me on the bench made me feel very bad didn't order just paid for my drinks and left. There is one thing I do well. I know steaks and hamburgers. This is the best place for a great steak and great margaritas on the rocks. Compare to that other steak place in Devine, there is no comparison. This Garcia's is better than go going to SA and cheaper. That Devine steak place on I35 has the worst Margarita I have ever tasted. Burgers in Garcia's are good, they may have gotten smaller but still good. Coffee here is half the price than Starbucks and just as good for the plain coffee. Pay cash here to avoid card fee. As a resident, this is the best from Pearsall to Laredo and Probably to SA. read more

Every time I've been, service has sucked! Food is always awesome. But waitresses would much rather be on their phones & talking than to wait on their table. this past sunday, when I walked in & I said hello to the lady at the register, she rolled her eyes at me. Then it took waitresses 15 minutes to get to our table with drinks. Then took another 10 minutes till we finally left. Waitress said they were short staffed, but had 5 waitresses on the floor. Maybe they were short in the kitchen, which I would've totally understood, but in the front, them being on their phones & talking to each other was more important. Came here for dinner while in town for the night. Needless to say there aren't many options in this town. The restaurant is located downtown, within the commercial block. The upstairs is a bar and the downstairs is the restaurant. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised with this place! It's your typical tex-mex food with enchiladas, quesadillas, etc but there are also steaks, fish, and quail to choose from. My coworker and I each ordered the tacos de carne asada...three small tacos. The service was friendly and the food came out quickly. The tacos were delicious! I was very pleased. Our serve let us order them the way we wanted to, meaning choice of tortilla and toppings. Prices were also very reasonable here. I would come back here. read more

Love the people and the atmosphere here. The food is delicious and always served with a smile. The service is neither slow nor so fast that you question the quality of the cooking. It's enough time to enjoy chitchatting with ur friends while sipping a refreshing tea or cold alcoholic beverages. And you know your meal is well prepared. Upstairs, the bar area is homey and a true "Cheers" like place where everybody is a friend. The bar manager is friendly and accommodating as are the bartenders and bar backs that assist him. Three. Stars because we have eaten here before, and the food is good. But we were highly disappointed to show up recently, and there was no seating in the bar area. Some of us prefer to sit in an area where it's only adults. But they said they were no longer using their bar area. So that means we no longer will be visiting. read more

This is the second time we have been here, I do understand things are just opening back up but with that being said. The experiences we have had, we will not be back!!! Takes FOREVER to get any service, Out of everything and even tho they have unsweetened tea and sugar. They are out of Sweet tea. Not again, we have given this place a second chance and they suck. What a great looking place on the Main Street of this small Texas town. Looked awesome inside and out. Definitely looked like a place to explore. Deceiving! We walked in and four servers from across the restaurant just stared at us. I actually had to ask if we just sit anywhere. Server took her 3 trips to bring us 4 drinks, 2 teas, water and a Mexican Coke. My order was wrong and small so left with a slight dissatisfaction of hunger. Took a while to place our order and get our food. The food was dropped off and then server never returned only to bring the check. Food was OK. Then upon cashing out at the register I was charged wrong and I asked the cashier about the colognes being sold behind her. She ignored me and seemed to be a bit stuck up. Even my fellow co workers noticed the attitude. For a place to be considered decent you must have excellent service or fantastic food. This place had neither. I was very disappointed and do not plan to return to this establishment. Some advice, train your staff on how to serve and product knowledge. Monday lunch about 11:30... Very pleasant atmosphere, very poor service and ok food. Server failed to tell us us about the salad bar which we might have gotten. Two items we ordered were forgotten. Bill said we ordered flour tortillas with our meal- we were not asked if we might have preferred corn( which we would have). Cheese enchiladas had red???flour tortillas Customer service is very important to most customers. Ordered a shrimp cocktail and paid almost $20. It's a small town and there was almost no people yet it took them almost 40 minutes to give me my order. Like really just for a shrimp cocktail cup. So I go home and sit down to eat. I paid almost $20 for a large shrimp cocktaiL and got a small 32oz cup with some crackers. They must have thought that I ordered tomatoe soup with a hint of shrimp. Pathetic, I got like 6 shrimp and almost no avocado, barely any onions or cilantro. I don't mind paying money for what I want but come on. All that money for the main ingredient not to be present plus I had to wait almost an hour for it. FXXK that!!!! I've never been back. They made a real bad first impression on me. Nice quaint restaurant in a historical building. The impressive menu is reinforced with chips & home made warm salsa. I order the special of the day, fajitas with ice tea & I was impressed. The rice did have a little too much oil, but everything else on the plate made up for it. I travel all over south Texas & have many places to compare. This establishment will definitely be placed on my favorite list! I can wait to try out the other menu items next time I'm in the area for lunch or dinner. read more

I went for dinner on Saturday night. It wasn't very busy. The service was slow, but not terrible. I had 2 margaritas which both tasted completely different because there was no dedicated bartender. My salad was served with the wrong dressing so the waitress just brought me a bottle of wishbone dressing and set it on the table. The french fries were not fresh. Some were way over cooked and the rest were soggy. I was very disappointed because I read so many good reviews about this place. read more

Best restaurant in Pearsall with a large selection on menu. Texmex, burgers, chicken fried steak, and steaks to name a few. Chicken fried steak is excellent, large and tender. Burgers and onion rings are also very good. I tried a ribeye steak last visit and it was tender, tasty and perfectly cooked. Service is always good even when they are packed with people.
