The brown butter cake, which our server described to us as "if a funnel cake and a churro had a baby", was the highlight of dinner. The atmosphere is where the restaurant is lacking, especially in two areas: We sat in the booth underneath a high window, which had a black covering that produced a weird optical illusion from our angle. The other issue was that the bright white bulbs in the chandeliers bounced off the painted cinder-block walls in a way that could cause a migraine. Even after our server dimmed the lights for us, I chose to wear my husband's baseball cap to prevent any vision issues.
