    The chicken waffle club!
    Matt U.

We happened upon Roza grill while we were down in Prosser running a few errands. Monday was the day that many of the other restaurants were closed so we were happy that this place was open. But we found was a very quaint old-school diner that had some lovely surprises. Upon walking in there was probably seatingfor 40 people and at least a dozen of the seats were filled with folks that looked to be regulars. Not the type of regular where they come in there every so often, the type of regular where the waitress knows what they're going to order and if they order something different and asks if they're feeling OK. It lends itself to a nice vibe! My better half was in the mood for a burger and dined on the mushroom and Swiss. Pretty standard burger, but the mushrooms looked to be real add the cheese was good, so it definitely fit the bill. In looking through the menu one item caught my eye very quickly... The chicken waffle club. As the name would imply this is literally a club sandwich with bread made out of waffles and then topped with layers of chicken, egg, cheese and bacon. I really appreciated that there was cheese in between each slice of waffle, it made for a delightful experience! I really appreciated that the waffles were ones that had actually been made on a waffle iron rather then frozen ones. A+ for not doing the cheap route. The thing won't strike you as a culinary masterpiece, but it's definitely something unique and worth trying out. Our little gentleman shared a kids meal which came with ample fries and a couple chicken strips that were quite good. For five dollars it was well worth it. All said and done, the creativity gets them the five star bump. This is the sort of place that you step into and immediately love. The place just has a warm, down home vibe and the food tastes like your mom made it. Keep it up guys!

First of all food was above fair, and reasonably priced. The people pleasant. My waffle chicken club was great and ample. There were three of us and it took a long time for food to arrive, and then each persons meal came out separate and not by a short amount of time. Would I stop again, probably not.

Holy cow. I just got this chicken waffle club sandwich in Prosser, WA. THIS THING IS AMAZING.

    Clean plate club!

We come to Prosser a few times a year and always stop here for breakfast. Small town diner style and vibe. BACON is really, really good!!! Staff is very helpful and friendly.

Nothing special about the area or the exterior of the restaurant at all, but once we stepped in we were greeted with amazing hospitality and ginormous portions of food! We both ordered chicken fried steak and eggs, which included freshly grated hash browns (we requested to be well done) and your choice of toast (we chose sourdough). The portion was impressive and everything was delicious. Some breakfast places usually make their fried steak out of ground beef but to our surprise it was real, thinly pounded steak! Super tender with great crisp and flavor. Really liked the homemade country gravy on top too, Hash browns and egg were perfect as well. Atmosphere was clean and cozy, had vintage decor and some interesting taxidermy on the walls. Seemed like a popular spot with locals who were mainly sitting at the bartop scratching away at stacks of lotto tickets. Overall great little spot for food, wish we had the time and belly room to try their homemade cinnamon rolls! If ever we pass by in the future we'd dine in again. :)

The bar is long, with pictures of all the Pendleton Round-Up lining one wall. The place is a fascinating time capsule. Way in the back, beyond the bar and the pool table, a very small dining room with counter service and several humble booths are tucked away next to the kitchen. It's old, and proud of it. I've only eaten there twice; I once had a great breakfast there many years ago with my son. The portions were generous, the service was excellent, and as American style breakfasts go, it was about as good as they get. It's not "inspired food." It's the standard stuff, and there's something comforting about that. It's Americana at it's best. The second time was my birthday, and again, I was there with my son. It was evening. When we got there, we were the only ones occupying the cafe. It looked exactly as it had 20-plus years ago. My son ordered a hamburger and fries. Again, no trendy toppings or fuss, just very fresh, very well prepared hearty fare...exactly what we were looking for. I had their "famous" fried chicken. it was without hesitation, some of the best I'd ever tasted. It came with jo-jos, a salad, and garlic bread. It was all excellent, and almost too much food. If you enjoy old school dining in a small town cafe, it's going to be hard to beat the Rainbow Cafe and Bar.
