My son as a beginning flutist entered into his second year of middle school already propelled to the highest of 3 bands at school. Furthermore, he earned top tier position in performance by winning district level and competed at regionals within his first 3 months of playing flute with other musicians in a live non-virtual setting. Susan's capabilities as an outstanding musician are well established given her tenure as a professional flutist in orchestra of which she performs, but not just anyone can also take that level of talent and teach another person. She is flexible on schedule and always has been accommodating. Premier Music Academy as a business is fantastic at communication and every one of my engagements involved working directly for the owner and manager of the school. Meanwhile, the owner of the store I was in called the Fender company, and was told this uke's installed tuner (and maybe all Fenders, IDK) is designed to only work when it's plugged into an amp. WHAT???? I called my store, they didn't know this very basic fact about FENDERS? Shouldn't they know that? How can someone who works in a guitar store not know the installed tuners don't work on something they sell (unless plugged into an amp)? Additionally, when I purchased this uke, they just handed it to me and went back to their computers, they didn't ask if I needed to know anything about what I just spent hundreds of dollars on. They could have asked me "do you need any help understanding this instrument?" Nope. They just went back to their business. There was no personal service in this store at all. But they sure did want me to positively review them.

We rented a guitar when my daughter first started. Rental of a 3/4-sized guitar (from Rock 'n Roll Rentals) was very affordable at only $6/month. We ended up purchasing it as it was more cost effective in the end, with two children using it one year after another. A nice bonus at Childbloom is that siblings are only charged half the price for lessons.

I wasn't sure at first if I needed a DJ for my wedding on 2/22/14, but after several conversations…read morewith friends and family I decided to look for one who might fit our needs. When I went shopping for information I found Mark Miller. I felt an immediate connection to him because during our first conversation he asked all the right questions. He really wanted to know about my husband and me, our musical tastes, and how we wanted our ceremony and reception to feel. I was quick to hire him before someone else could! Mark was immeasurably kind and patient with my frequent emails and bridal panic moments. To calm my worries, he met with me at the venue and took a walk around and discussed with me exactly what he was planning for each phase of the evening. It was easy at that point to surrender control of the music to him. In addition, we completed an online DJ portal questionnaire with our specific requests (along with anything we didn't want--which we didn't have) and a general information page, which made me feel like he knew exactly what we wanted. I may be biased, but I truly feel like my wedding was a perfect day. My day-of coordinator took control of all the vendors a week before the wedding to make sure they all understood our timeline, and Mark worked seamlessly with her. He arrived early and set up each area where he would be working. The ceremony music was beautiful and worked exactly with our processional and recessionals with his editing. Once the cocktail hour started, he played a variety of music from all different genres that nonetheless fit in with our tastes. The reception was unbelievable--I really didn't have any intention of dancing beyond the first dances with my husband and father, but Mark kept the room so energized I couldn't help myself. He did a wonderful job helping our guests know exactly where they were supposed to be and what was going to happen next. In addition to his truly EXCELLENT performance on my wedding day, I have to add that Mark edited the songs we were using for our first dances, and he did a wonderful job. I also didn't have specific picks for some of the things we were doing (the bouquet and garter toss, the exit, the last dance) and I told Mark to use his discretion, and his picks were absolutely spot on. Mark was an incredible professional and I would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for an experienced DJ and MC. They will modify dress and music to your needs, we asked for black tie/formal and they looked great! There must be ten in the band with all the brass you need to perform a wide variety of music. We chose some Motown and Classic Rock for the adults and the bride selected music for their guests. Their manager, Mark was very easy and professional to work with. He was attentive to our needs and prepared us for with all of the details needed. It was a pleasure to work with him. The band was perfect in so many ways, the female singers put their heart and soul into the lyrics and the sax, trumpets, trombones just topped off the group. The entire band is a great ensemble of professionals. You can't go wrong with Memphis Train.
