I am from Southern California so I am obviously having to choose a flower shop blindly........ I wanted to send a special bouquet to my bestie who just had an emergency surgery to brighten her day and when I saw the picture of the bouquet that was delivered to her I was so disappointed. They were nothing close to the picture I chose online. I understand there may be flower substitution but the point is to come as close as you can to the picture I chose from online, otherwise why even have pictures to chose from if the florist is just going to do whatever they want. I then call and speak to the owner and he argued with me saying he could do whatever he wanted and he didn't have to make it look like the bouquet I chose online. There was no ribbon, it was blah and I was actually embarrassed for my friend to know those came from me. I am sorry I don't know how things are done in Georgia but here in Southern California you do not argue with a customer..........no customer service skills at all and this is the owner I am talking about! Didn't really get anything close to what I ordered. A bit disappointed. I even "upgraded" to get the better lilies and roses. I think they could have let me know they had NONE of the flowers or vase in stock. read more

Typically I use pro flowers or 1-800 flowers, but thought I would use a local florist. I'm not from the area, so I just looked up local florists on the internet. Probably should have looked at reviews as well. While the flowers were delivered when they were promised, they look absolutely nothing like what I ordered. Total bait and switch. Not even the same colored flowers. Totally different arrangement and not in a good way. Was very disappointed especially for the amount charged. They do have a disclaimer on their website that they have a right to use different flowers, but at least let your clients know. Wouldn't you think the owner who took my order would know what type of flowers are in stock? Disappointing... read more

I had never heard of Garden Cottage Florist before. I found them on-line after being displeased with several of the leading florists in the Augusta area. I needed a flower arrangement for my dad's funeral. I was overwhelmed with the beautiful arrangement that Timothy made for me. He added grapevine to it which made it look extra special. This will be my florist, of choice, from now on. Thanks again for your special arrangement at a more than fair price !!! I was very disappointed in my. Flower delivery, my Husband ordered me flowers , after I fell at work and broke my shoulder!, paid around 65. Dollars, and they died within 3 Days, the base was nice, but not worth 65.00, and the online tracker send 4 hours, after waiting 7-8 hrs they finally came , but I had PT, and yall spoiled his surprise, I would never order from yall again, bad service, flowers looked horrible within 3 days.... I'm in the Augusta area temporarily and in the midst of planning a DIY wedding. I needed some ideas for bouquets and a little how-to on bouquet making. Timothy was very happy to set up a consultation despite knowing up front that I plan on purchasing flowers elsewhere and assembling them myself. In no hurry at all, he sat down with me to brainstorm what colors and looks interest me. He then walked me through the cooler picking out flowers and providing ideas of alternate flowers I could use. He showed me step by step how to assemble the bouquet and boutonniere and gave me innumerable tips on how to DIY. The price for the bouquet and consultation was more than fair and I couldn't have had a better experience! The flower selection isn't vast, but the quality is good. read more

Awful experience. I really do not even want to put 1 star. Poor customer service. My husband had flowers delivered to my work (I leave at 3pm), flowers showed up at my work at 3:45pm. On their little delivery card it was typed as " please deliver by 12 or before 2pm". Person who delivered my flowers were told by my coworkers that I had left for the day, delivery person 's response was "I was not told a time." Girls at work pointed out the note with no response or regrets from delivery person. After coworkers informed me what happened I called the garden cottage florist to let them know. They were not pleasant by any means and I was not happy. Their response was that they don't do times on their deliveries and if they had known there was a time for the order they would not have filled the order. I explained there was a delivery card with their name on that had my husband's time delivery request on it, so how did they not know!?. His response was he just tries to get the orders out before 5pm. This is poor business and he did not even apologize for the inconvenience. They obviously don't care about their customers. read more

All of the pictures and reviews are great!! However I cannot give an amazing review for something that WAS NOT DELIVERED to the RIGHT PLACE. Upon ordering the arrangement for a funeral, I requested it to be delivered to the funeral home; a funeral home, mind you, that this florist has worked with before. The funeral home does not accept glass vases, therefore my arrangement was sent to the address that was listed for the person that made the arrangements. This was NOT the family member intended to get the flowers. My number was CLEARLY on the order for a contact and there should have been a way to inform me of the home not accepting glass vases upon placing my order. I called this florist to clarify the situation and he acted like I was a BOTHER and that he was "out the flowers and delivery fee" then grudgingly asked what I "suggested he do". I would rather be out the money than work with someone that is rude to someone in a time of grieving. Thanks, but NO THANKS. read more
