Karen was phenomenal from start to finish. She is organized, responsive, and genuinely committed to making sure every couple has the wedding day they deserve. Coordinating security services, guiding us through details, and ensuring everything ran smoothly. It's clear that making a couple's big day unforgettable is truly Karen's passion, and it shows in every interaction. Wow! I got married here on 10/5/24 and from the start to our wedding day I was so blown away by the venue. My husband and I first toured the venue 2 years ago and we fell in love with how green it was (and that's that we first saw it in January) Karen was so great and really helped me feel at ease during all our communication. Where do I even begin..... Karen is the most warm, welcoming, professional, accessible, fun & AMAZING venue manager a bride could ask for. The Gardens was the most romantic, peaceful, clean venue. (The hem/train of my dress didn't even get dirty/thrashed!) Flowing fountain, hanging chandeliers, butterflies & birds. We were able to customize alter locations with a backup option if it rained. Caterer or food truck options (we ended up doing pizza with custom boxes!).You really get to make the space your own. During our day it got pretty warm & humid, Karen provided many large electric fans to help cool everyone off. She helped to make everything effortless, I felt very well taken care of. This was the perfect venue for our small (50 guest) wedding!!! First off Karen, the owner, is the kindest, most helpful person. She eased all of my nerves during every step of the planning process and clearly takes great pride in her business. This venue is perfectly hidden and just dreamy in every way!!! We just got married on Sunday 29, 18. Everyone that was there could not stop talking about our venue. How it was so beautiful. It's is a hidden secret. We found this place on yelp and had seen several venues. Once we came to see the place my husband got chills and said this is the place. Not only is the venue amazing so is Karen! I love her. She helped us so much. We didn't hire a wedding planner. We did everything on our own and Karen helped guide us when the time came. We also hired a food truck to cater our wedding and it was awesome. My daughter's wedding was this past weekend at Gardens at West Green. We fell in love with this venue at our first visit!! The pricing is very reasonable when compared with other outdoor venues in the area. Many of the amenities which are extra at other venues (such as outdoor lighting)are included here. Due to military commitments by my daughter's fiancé, we had to change the date 3 different times. The owner, Karen Little, was very flexible in meeting our needs to change dates. This place is magical. I worked with Karen over the past year and a half of my engagement, and could not be happier with us choosing The Gardens for our wedding reception and rehearsal. The space is perfectly proportioned and decorated, and has such a lovely, lush feel to it. I heard other people say it, but you really don't need much decorations; the place stands on its own. There is ample bridal and groom dressing areas, and having things like your tables, chairs, and table cloths included is a godsend. Karen is super flexible to work with, and the venue is fantastically reasonable for what all you get on a package. Everyone commented on how beautiful the venue was, and with Karen's help and expertise, everything went off without a hitch. I will make a plug as well for Karen's communication abilities. I was working on planning my wedding 2k miles away from the venue, and she made it SO EASY for me, answering all of my questions and helping out wherever she could. Choosing this place was the best decision we made for our small wedding! The venue is beautiful, affordable, flows well, and barely needs any decorating at all. A huge added bonus is that chairs, tables and tablecloths are included in the package. We received endless compliments on using this stunning venue for our wedding. We held our wedding at The Gardens at West Green in February 2017 and it was absolutely beautiful.  From the moment I met Karen and toured the venue, we knew it was THE perfect place for us.  The grounds are absolutely stunning with mature trees, plush greenery, and dedicated areas for the ceremony, reception, and dancing.  Karen was a dream to work with and she was always available to answer questions and offer suggestions. Working with her to ensure everything ran smoothly left me stress-free throughout the process.  The day of the wedding she was there early, helping to set-up and was in contact with our caterer, bartender, and DJ to ensure it was all perfect. As soon I arrived at the venue, I knew that I didn't have to worry about anything but getting ready and spending time with my bridesmaids!  The evening was more than we could ever imagine. Our evening ceremony was at sunset and the lighting was perfect and flowed into our beautiful reception.  We got so many compliments from our guests about how gorgeous the venue was.  We didn't feel the need to go overboard with decorations as the venue itself with all of the landscaping and trees was decoration enough. Plus, Karen has a great supply of linens and decorative items that were perfect for our reception. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to get married without spending a ridiculous amount of money.  The venue and what it offers was less than half what other venues asked for and you are able to bring in your own catering, alcohol, and entertainment. The Gardens at West Green is a beautiful place to get married and makes for good pictures and a nice atmosphere. It was affordable and flexible. What you get in a package is very reasonable and makes it simple. Karen helped with our rehearsal the day before our wedding and was flexible with our timing of it. Also, she was helpful the day of in getting everyone organized and letting us know when to walk. I'm sure she did other things I was not aware of too while we were getting ready. I would recommend getting married here. The only thing I wish could have been better is communication, quicker responses and following up the week of the wedding to go over everything and make sure it is correct, as some of the stuff we had asked for in the questionnaire they had us fill out was not there. read more

I'm very disappointed with my experience. Owner, Karen Little was great to work with at first. She was very responsive to my initial questions regarding the venue and was flexible when scheduling a site visit. The venue is beautiful, the price is very good and the reviews I read were great. My problems started after I signed the contact. I made it clear from the beginning, I was targeting a Saturday in March or April, so I was happy that 4/13/19 was available - so My fiancé booked it on 8/1/18. We heard back from Karen a week later that she made a mistake and that date was already taken so we had to take a Friday or Sunday, she offered a hour credit for the inconvenience. Although I was really bummed, I appreciated the gesture and we moved on - no harm, no foul. On 9/7/18 - Karen then reached out to my fiancé to inform him that Saturday 4/27/19 is open - excited again I emailed her and told her we would take it! After reading the contact, I noticed the hour ($500) credit was not included so I asked her about it and she told me she could only honor $300. This is where I first started to get irritated, not just because I feel like I'm playing musical dates and had been more than understanding the first time but more so because the variance of $200. As a wedding professional or just someone who should offer outstanding customer service, I was a little perturbed that we are emailing back and forth about $200. I emailed her on 9/10/18 and then called on 9/14/15 and 9/15/18 and texted her on 9/15/18 and asked multiple times for her to call me back and waited. Karen emailed me on 9/17/18 that she would get back to me soon. Today is 9/20/18 and still nothing. I live on the West coast so I unfortunately can not drop by The Gardens at West Green so I'm at the mercy of her deciding to get back to me and its been almost 2 weeks!!!! Unacceptable and unbelievable that a wedding venue/business would treat a bride, a client this way. Be warned - Don't book here. read more

We were surprised at how beautiful the location was for the price it was set up before we got there and at the end of the wedding after everyone left we had gone out of our way to purchase our own camera because we weren't sure if we could trust anybody to do it so we were trying to do it for ourselves with a tripod and everything but by a stroke of luck miss Karen little informed us she was an ex professional photographer and so she took the camera and put us in a bunch of beautiful poses and took all of our pictures for us and they came out gorgeous I highly recommend this location for your outdoor wedding read more

We recently had our wedding (reception and ceremony) at the Gardens at West Green and were elated with how everything turned out. Selecting the venue was definitely the best decision we made. First, the venue itself is breathtakingly beautiful! Everything is so lush, green, and well maintained. It offers the perfect canvas to create the wedding of your dreams. Second, the venue is very affordable. It offers various packages to choose from based upon what you would like included. We decided to go with the all-inclusive package because it just made sense - easy, simple, and a very good deal. The all-inclusive package included the venue, chairs, tables, tablecloth, floral, some décor, cake, hosted bar, DJ, officiate, caterer, bartender, photographer, and wedding coordinator (Karen Little). It literally took care of everything for us and the vendors included are AMAZING! What we spent on everything came out to less than what many other venues were charging for their space alone. Honestly it was really a no brainer - why pay $12,000 for space alone when I could get something equally (if not more) beautiful that included everything for under $7,000? Now don't get me wrong, this isn't a cookie cutter wedding package. Although everything is included for you, you have the ability to customize everything to fit what your wedding vision is. You are able to remove things, add things, and change things if you would like. Finally, we got the pleasure of working with Karen Little. Karen has so much experience in the wedding industry and it shows. She played such a vital role in the wedding planning, preparation, and day of the wedding details. I am so thankful that Karen took the time to really understand our vision and worked diligently to exceed all of our expectations. We chose this Wedding Venue, not only because of how absolutely gorgeous it is, but we liked that we could bring in any caterers and vendors we wanted. From the second we walked into The Gardens, we knew it was the right choice for our venue. Now I cannot have imagined our wedding anywhere else. The venue is well kept, magically beautiful, and in my opinion, the best in San Antonio. I loved spending the day getting ready with my bridesmaids in the fancy bride's room. And I especially loved watching guests arrive from the window and seeing their faces light up when they saw how breathtaking the venue is. Karen went above and beyond my expectations and definitely helped make everything perfect. When my cake was leaning and the glass on my seating chart broke, Karen approached me with a soothing tone, and helped keep me calm about it, while graciously fixing it. She helped line up our wedding party and told the ring bearer and flower girl when to walk. I was very impressed with her patience, professionalism, and her great talent for weddings. I originally selected this venue 2 years ago when it was beautiful and lush. Construction next door began, which is out of their control, and our wedding had to be rescheduled for personal reasons. But once I called, and called, and called and finally got Karen Little to return my phone call she explained that more construction would begin and I explained to her that after numerous attempts to contact her via email, text, and repeated voicemails, and due to the condition of the venue I would need a full refund for the $2,000 I paid. That was in October 2014...... still not a single response from her. I will call her every day for the rest of her life, just like a debt collector, until I see my money. I am not donating to charity here, I was supposed to have a wedding and as a result all my plans have been SCREWED! And google states they are now permanently closed, which is not surprising.
