She made a 70 page PDF packet (WHAT!!!) of all the wedding venues that fit our budget and aesthetic in Austin for our budget. (We are based out of Chicago, so this was a destination wedding by all accounts.) Bethany hosted countless phone calls with myself and my partner about design palettes (she even made a slideshow for us to help visualize) and helped us through some really difficult vendors. For example, AFTER we booked a wedding venue and paid deposits, the venue CLOSED with just a few months before the big day. Bethany sprang into action and found us an even BETTER venue. Also, we booked a flight into Austin to work with a caterer, and he cancelled last minute. Bethany, again - the super hero that she is - found us a better caterer, and even scheduled a tasting during the time when the original vendor left us hanging. She came to both of our fittings, as this was a double bride ceremony. She talked me down from my personal freak-out about dress choices. She made a budget, a schedule, e-introduced all vendors, kept a very rosé-drunk "I Do Crew" (sorry about that) on task during our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner with grace and a smile. She made great suggestions (taking 15 minutes to ourselves post-vows, the flow of the wedding, etc) and was always by our side. She shoo'ed people away so we could have our last private dance, and was warm and welcoming throughout. I cannot even begin to tell you how amazing she is. Although we had a rain plan in place for the day of the wedding, I was not willing to give up on having my dream outdoor ceremony. Despite there being high odds of rain for our wedding day, I wanted to take a chance and try to make the outdoor ceremony happen. Thanks to Mitzi's expert planning, we were able to setup for the ceremony inside and outside and make the call only 30 minutes before the wedding. It rained so hard that the power went out in the bridal suite and Mitzi was still able to pull off nothing short of a miracle. In addition to coordinating with every single one of our vendors to ensure a seamless evening, Mitzi also went to bat for us whenever she could. Whether it was negotiating with our caterer to ensure certain rental items were included in our contract or disputing charges from the transportation company for a town car that failed to show up, I knew I could trust Mitzi to handle everything. We got amazing people in our table and we got to learn about white carrots and why now they are orange, we learned about cheeses, also we learn the basics of a charcuterie board, from color combinations to what goes best with what. It was a very enjoyable time, they make it fun and easy, I would love to attend to more of their classes. Check the pictures we took there! I know our wedding was offbeat and one with many firsts for her, but she never made us feel like our choices were any less meaningful just because they weren't "traditional." Come to find out the restaurant does not offer wedding services. They claimed they could provide us with other options, but then tried to up charge us to provide the other options. We promptly asked for a refund from Everlasting Elopements after that. They said it would be 5-7 days to receive a refund of $1133 it has been well over a month and no refund. This is a major disappointment - people use services like Everlasting Elopements because they are on a budget, so when we are scammed out of such a large amount of money, it hurts.

When we brought these fundamental mistakes to their attention the next day, you'd think there would be an apology, perhaps a token of remorse? Nope...just weak excuses and a bad attitude.
