Since Karen Himelhan joined the team in the landscape design department, her negative and confrontational communication style has overshadowed the excellent work the grounds crew consistently provides. I've used Northbranch Nursery for landscaping services at both of my homes, and anytime I've raised questions about billing or addressed concerns regarding the work, the response has felt defensive and combative rather than collaborative. When paying nearly $4,000-6,000 for a service, I believe customers are justified in asking questions or expecting concerns to be addressed professionally. Unfortunately, instead of listening and working toward solutions, Karen often appears focused on finding loopholes or excuses to avoid responsibility. The tension this creates is noticeable -- even staff members seem uneasy when she arrives on-site. That's unfortunate because everyone should be working toward the same goal: a beautifully landscaped property, a positive working relationship, and a professional, knowledgeable team that values customer service and communication. At the end of the day, successful businesses rely on customer loyalty, positive word of mouth, and strong service standards. The nursery has a large wholesale base and is huge. Lots of nursery landscapers were working the greenhouses and tree lots. The tree farm is all around. At the counter Josh had the paperwork. A forklift put the tree in the bed of my pick up. Josh secured it with the bungee cords I brought, and gave me paper instructions on watering and staking the tree. The 45-minute drive was worth it. I came here for the lavender festival and completely fell in love with it. They had face painting, lavender cutting, drawing and painting for your littles, and tons of food and drink trucks to eat some delicious food. They had vendors selling local honey, painting and lots of other goodies. But this place isn't just for festivals. You can rent this place for birthdays, weddings, pictures, you name it! It's absolutely beautiful and has a wonderful outdoor area.

We get our bird seed here it's cheaper than Wild Birds Unlimited. On our most recent stop, they even had plants for sale in a little courtyard that had never been open before. They sell all sorts of garden equipment, shovels, etc, but also random stuff like critter traps and stuff for your dog, and apparently, is Toledos go to spot for beer brewing supplies. Workers are friendly and helpful. Definitely stop in and shop local!

I recently received a craftbrew kit as a gift and someone suggested going to Titgemeier's for any products needed. I am no expert when it comes to craft brewing, supplies, and products, by they seem to have all bases covered. Brew kits galore and many different styles and flavors of ingredients to brew your own at home. They even have some bulk items if needed. Thanks to the gift of a craft brew making kit and a trip to Titgemeier's, I am excited to see the end result of my first attempt at making a batch of craft beer. Also had a corn/candy cannon that was fun to watch and attracted many school-aged kids, along with a corn maze. Lots of traditional autumn treats at their concession stand. Wide selection of autumn decor items including beautiful mums in planters and pots. Although I haven't been to many agritourism events like this for several years, I was impressed with the organization and scale of the Stevens' operation -- big enough to have something for everyone, but not so big that you felt overwhelmed by crowds. Also appreciated the welcoming atmosphere. Had a nice conversation with a member of the Stevens family who gave us some history of the event and took our family picture at the end of the hayride. It was worth an hour drive for us.
