Gare de Genève Cornavin seemed like I wasn't in Switzerland anymore. It was chaotic and definitely some sketchy characters walking around asking for money. There's no police/ security. Yes, they have a lot of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants at the station. You can also catch buses here. You have to pay attention to which station you need to be catching a bus from (arranged alphabetically but not in consistent order which was frustrating). Catching a bus is nuts. There's about 6 bus lines per station with at least 10 people waiting blocking the entrance to the main train station. It's only quiet here from 9pm-8am. I've caught a bus/ train at different times of the day. The busiest is in the afternoon but it's not like you have much of a choice if you need to be somewhere.

Coming off of our train, we entered a customs area but we weren't sure if we were supposed to exit or find our track and there was no one to ask. I will agree that it may have been because we're novices and I was the only person with any European train experience and I have never had to go though customs to exit a train before and I didn't want to make the wrong move. Luckily, the area we were in had a board with track numbers and once we saw our next train and it's track number we were confident to go through the customs area. Which btw was nothing, just some armed people watching us walk past them. This station is packed so be wary and bon chance!

Please note that this is NOT a review of the Eurostar snow train service but about the train…read morestation itself in Bourg-Saint-Maurice. Arriving, it was fine, although the pavement / sidewalk was covered in snow and was iced over (don't believe any grit had been put down but hey, you're in the Alps). The real problem is when you're leaving Bourg-Saint-Maurice. The border control is completely understaffed. So you're left freezing outside for almost 45 minutes while waiting in line to board the train. And then when you arrive at border control, you realise, without any pre-warning, there are security measures, meaning you have to strip down (well not completely). So much time could have been saved for everyone out in the cold if there was a pre-warning that when you get to the front you'll need to take off belts, watches, etc. If you're reading train operators, you'll want to improve the service / experience.

Geneva Airport was a great experience overall. It's a very efficient airport with easy in-and-out…read moreaccess, which made traveling smooth and stress-free. One of the standout features was the public transportation--everything is incredibly well organized. The train station was easy to locate right from the airport, and getting on board was simple. From there, it's convenient to travel to other major cities without any hassle. Another highlight was the customs process. Going through passport control was quick, modern, and completely touchless, making the entire experience feel seamless and efficient. Overall, Geneva Airport is clean, well-run, and very traveler-friendly. Highly recommend.

In March there was a lot of roadworks surrounding the station and very little in the way of signage…read moreas to where to find the coach to Geneva or indeed buy tickets. but despite the poor information the coach arrived and were able to pay the far on board. The station is very small with only one shop-and no direct routes to geneva so you have to take two. When you consider how close it is by car its pretty unreal that they haven't figured out a direct route yet especially now gare Eau Vive is closed.
