Please note that this is NOT a review of the Eurostar snow train service but about the train station itself in Bourg-Saint-Maurice. Arriving, it was fine, although the pavement / sidewalk was covered in snow and was iced over (don't believe any grit had been put down but hey, you're in the Alps). The real problem is when you're leaving Bourg-Saint-Maurice. The border control is completely understaffed. So you're left freezing outside for almost 45 minutes while waiting in line to board the train. And then when you arrive at border control, you realise, without any pre-warning, there are security measures, meaning you have to strip down (well not completely). So much time could have been saved for everyone out in the cold if there was a pre-warning that when you get to the front you'll need to take off belts, watches, etc. If you're reading train operators, you'll want to improve the service / experience. read more
