Even as a person afraid of heights, the experience of crossing their signature suspension bridge was manageable though I didn't look down. The glacier walk can take 2 hours round trip not due to the length but walking in the snow. You'll definitely feel the altitude though it shouldn't be too big of a deal if you're in at least average health. Various activities require reservations like the dog sledding and some activities may not be available on all days so definitely inquire ahead of time. Once you get there, you can buy a pass to ski or tO go to the top to enjoy all yHe other activities. They have skiing, sledding, mountain roller coaster, the peak bridge and dog sledding. The rollercoaster is on the side of the mountain BUT only open in the summer time. If you want to dog sled, you have to book in advance. I highly suggest you book as soon as you can because the slots fill up fast. The peak bridge is insane! It's literally a bridge that connects to mountain peaks. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THE WEATHER! If you go on their website you can get a live view from the mountain. This is super important because of the weather isn't right, most attractions will be closed down. There's a cafe style restaurant and a sit down restaurant. The food was pretty good too. This was one of the best views and experience ever!

I scheduled and paid in full for a transfer the week before my three-day trip, and the company confirmed the round-trip booking. The first half (from Geneva Airport to my drop-off location) went perfectly. However, two days later I got a call from company telling me they were changing my pick-up location because they "no longer go there in the winter season". They now wanted me to walk 20 minutes in the pouring rain (despite having paid for door-to-door service). When I declined and asked for the return trip to be cancelled and refunded, I was told by the representative that she would cancel the return, but I needed to send an email to request the refund. I did so. A few days later, they refused to issue the refund, because it had been a "last-minute cancellation". A colleague of mine had the exact same experience. Online reviews of the companies that have since become AlpyTransfers are also very negative. Thus, I strongly recommend against using this company, no matter what name they are going by. We had early morning flights into Geneva, we got a text the night before giving us a transfer time of 2.30pm - almost a 4 hour wait at the airport. They clearly couldn't get a shared transfer in the morning and made sure our pick-up time came in just under their 4hour window in their terms and conditions to avoid having to refund us. We ended up hiring a car, so paid their full fare and for alternative transport. I'm glad we did as we then got a day on the slopes that we would have otherwise missed out on, but it was frustrating to pay them for a service they didn't provide. They also refused us a refund on the return journey which was entirely unreasonable.

The first visit we would not have gotten in and the second visit we barely got a table...think maybe we got a table because they recognized us from before. Items that we ordered were the: Frist Visit: - Lake Perch pan sautéed in butter and served with fries and a side salad. Wow, those tiny little perch filets were awesome. Perfectly cooked, very fresh with absolutely no fishy taste. The fries were very good - crispy and hot. The side salad was very good with a great dressing. - Pan Sautéed Veal with Mushrooms and served with veggies. The veal was browned and the taste was right there. It was tender and needed no extra seasoning at all. The veggies were cooked - not too much but just enough. Second Visit: - Steak - maybe entrecôte - the only one with a peppercorn sauce. We asked for it to be cooked to a medium and it came medium!!! The peppercorn sauce was to die for. We share part of this steak and just kept going back to the sauce. Excellent. I came with fries and veggies. I asked for a very small serving of fries and was accommodated. I also asked if I could have that wonderful side salad as my veggies and was told no. But way into my meal Martin came over and said that I could have the salad. At this time we were both so full that I declined. We were better off. - Penne Pasta with a Spicy Tomato sauce. Weak link of the two visits but hit the spot. The sauce was not spicy at all. The pasta was cooked appropriate. Just couldn't compare with the rest of the food. Highly recommend. Also one should make a booking.

Yelp Review 2026 #167:…read more I've gotten used to clean, organized train stations from all the cities and towns I've been to in Switzerland. Gare de Genève Cornavin seemed like I wasn't in Switzerland anymore. It was chaotic and definitely some sketchy characters walking around asking for money. There's no police/ security. Yes, they have a lot of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants at the station. You can also catch buses here. You have to pay attention to which station you need to be catching a bus from (arranged alphabetically but not in consistent order which was frustrating). Catching a bus is nuts. There's about 6 bus lines per station with at least 10 people waiting blocking the entrance to the main train station. It's only quiet here from 9pm-8am. I've caught a bus/ train at different times of the day. The busiest is in the afternoon but it's not like you have much of a choice if you need to be somewhere.

Coming off of our train, we entered a customs area but we weren't sure if we were supposed to exit or find our track and there was no one to ask. I will agree that it may have been because we're novices and I was the only person with any European train experience and I have never had to go though customs to exit a train before and I didn't want to make the wrong move. Luckily, the area we were in had a board with track numbers and once we saw our next train and it's track number we were confident to go through the customs area. Which btw was nothing, just some armed people watching us walk past them. This station is packed so be wary and bon chance!

Walk a long line to get your passport stamped and be asked the questions as you walk through customs and into Switzerland, only to walk more to the baggage claim to where you stand a good while to greet your luggage many minutes after your plane has landed and you stress as you think the same thing I always think about, did my luggage actually make it on the plane? Then you breathe a sigh of relief as you walk again to the train station which is a solid walk from the baggage claim as you then take a train into town, or in my case, a train to Lausanne, and then walk again to the train and maybe have to stand on the train because you waited until the ultimate last minute to buy a ticket. At which point you almost wish you had someplace to sit down. Not the best way to greet people into a gorgeous country, but at least things do improve from there (and believe me, they do).
Yelp Review 2026 #62:…read more My flight home from Geneva was a pleasant experience. Priority boarding, more baggage allowance (which came in handy since I was coming home with a luggage full of Swiss chocolates for myself and some for friends), priority security check, lounge access, priority boarding, welcome drinks, 3-course gourmet meal, unlimited snacks and drinks, lie-flat seat with a massager, pillow, mattress, blanket, Acqua di Parma amenity kit, dedicated flight attendant, 2 lavatories for business class passengers only. Food: I liked the garlic bread, and the tuna appetizer. I selected the beef cheek as my entree prior to my flight but I didn't like it as much as I had anticipated. The cake for dessert wasn't great so, I couldn't finish it - it was that, cheese or fruit. I should have gotten fruit instead. Snacks and beverage including alcohol was unlimited. I got an Aperol Spritz because it was available even though I don't like it. Service: Outstanding. I felt taken care of for the 8+ hour flight. I got my peppermint tea (which settles my stomach) without any fuss from the flight attendant. I'm not a high-maintenance flyer and I don't need a lot. Just my peppermint tea and I'm happy. Comfort: I'm fine with lie-flat seats but my seat also had a massager. Of course, I used it multiple times during the flight. They provided a fluffy pillow, a mattress and a thick blanket. I switched to the red Air Canada socks which is part of the amenity kit as soon as I got situated. I had lots of storage space. Electronics charging. The lavatory is on the small side just like economy lavatory. But the toiletries are better. Entertainment: I watched a bunch of movies recently released that I didn't get to see in theaters, and a docuseries about my favorite futbol team. I listened to some music.
