BUYING my new Wolf Range was the easy part. The sales person was helpful and accomodating. It was the DELIVERY that was a nightmare !! First of all, I was charged an additional (on top of the regular delivery fee) $150 for a large appliance fee. One would think that this would ensure that a smooth and professional delivery would ensue. The 2 guys who delivered my 48" range were clowns to say the least. They put the range up "on one end" and my heart just sank. By the time they got it inside, one door was scratched. Plus who knows about the guts of the range. We filed the damage report and here it is 4 weeks later and the technician has come to replace the door only to find out that something else (a hinge?) was damaged and that needs to be ordered as well before the repair can be fully completed. Also, technician said that the installer should of "leveled" the range. The DID NOT !! What was that extra $150 for ?? I wouild think that a refund in that department is due to us. I am so glad we chose to buy our other new appliances elsewhere. read more

My wife and I were looking for a washer and decided to try this store rather than a Big Box store like Home Depot or Lowe's. What a disappointment. The salesperson who assisted us did not know the status of their inventory, quoted a 3 to 5 week deliver (when our washer had just failed), and outrageous prices. She was the most unhelpful person ever. Plus, the noise was deafening while they were doing repairs. No one was friendly, no one went out of their way to help us. AVOID at all costs!!!!! We went to Home Depot, found just the right washer for a great price and delivery in 3 to 5 days. I will NEVER go back to Garner Appliance. Beware. read more

I thought I found a company like the one I grew up with in my hometown and would be my go to place when the rest of my appliances reach the end of life. The website claimed a "worry-free installation" with "knowledgeable experts" so I assumed buying from the business would have a highly professional crew. Inept is an understatement as they did not seem to know what to do or how to properly move either appliance. I had to pay extra for delivery from Garner Appliance as the big box stores offer free delivery so I thought the crew would be skilled. Delivering appliances is not an easy job by any means so I thought I had picked a company with trained employees who knew the techniques and had the proper tools to make it easier. But the crew sent to my house seemed to lack the knowledge of what to do and the proper tools for the job. The saggy pants with the underwear showing makes me wonder why there was not a dress code. I got the impression that this was their first time installing a washing machine and removing the old appliance as one didn't even bring his gloves inside for grip. Because they were unskilled they damaged my house. The appliance width was 27 inches and the staircase was at least 34 inches, plenty wide enough so none of the damage should have happened. I suspect most of the damage was done when the old appliance was being removed with the dolly. Then they failed to let me know that they did all this damage. So no integrity. What I suspect happened, as I tried to social distance, is that when the one had to go get the gloves from his hoodie in the truck, they left the machine on the top of the stairs with the hoses hanging off against the wall and the water dripped down from the light switches to the floor. This is also where the carpet is the wettest. I was not expecting water damage to the wall. The cracked washer pan that the crew sat the machines on the rim not once but twice made that so it will no longer hold water. The wall scuffs and gouges and the wood damage to the staircase was preventable if the crew was careful but they didn't care. The crew didn't even clean up my yard or the neighbor's yard after they left. I saved the trash they left which included the letter on new procedures because of COVID 19. They didn't follow any of that, one even laid on my carpet and rolled around. What kind of people did your company hire that would think that behavior was acceptable? They did not wipe anything down before leaving either. UPDATE: I was sent a check for the damage to the walls; the scratched and dented washing machine and a new washing machine pan. Painters were sent to repair the stairs instead of a professional hardwood flooring crew so the wood damage was not fully repaired. 9 people were in my house in April, (the first delivery crew of two); (the second delivery crew to move the washer for the plumbers); (two plumbers to install the new pan); (two painters to inspect the stair damage); (one same painter and one new painter to TRY to fix the stair damage) The plumbers were the only ones that wore masks and booties over their shoes. They were prompt and efficient. The painters did try to fix the stairs. But the deep gouge on the flat surface is still noticeable as they didn't fill it but tried to sand it and the corner of the post is still sharp and it appears they just sanded away the splintery parts as it isn't straight and the other three corners are smooth. The varnish applied missed several areas. Then they left stains on the carpet of one stair from whatever work was done near the top. They were done in 20 minutes so rushed and did part of a fix as they lacked what was needed for wood repair. So I still need a professional hardwood flooring company to repair my stairs. My experience with Garner Appliance was a nightmare. I will not be buying from them again. I don't need the hassle of dealing with more damage to my home. It is too late for this purchase as the damage has already been done. It was an expensive lesson I will not make again. read more

Their service is awful and they do not stand behind their products. I bought a $3500 refrigerator from them. I placed the order online and requested delivery. They called me to set up delivery but the fridge I wanted was out of stock. So they switched me to another one, but switched it to in store pick up without telling me. When I flew into town to close on my house and get delivery of my fridge, I called them to find out not only weren't they delivering it but it was out of stock. I had raise hell and they took one from someone else. Immediately after they delivered it, the motor was so loud you could hear it from across the room. I call the following day, but the service manger was out because it was a Saturday and they are closed on Sundays and I would have to speak to her on Monday. So I called back Monday. I spoke to the service manager who told me all sales were final after 48 hours and I would have to go to the manufacturer. I tried to call with 48 hours and was denied the ability. Now I wonder if they just gave me a fridge they knew was defective knowing I couldn't return or exchange. I have disputed my charges and will be contacting the Better Business Bureau. Beware of this company. They seem really shady. read more

Our experience was about four years ago/ They were terrible. Guy (Paul) was awful, poor communication, uninformed in the showroom off Capital Blvd. Installer was unresponsive until I had a prayer meeting with him. Measured appliances incorrectly, so I had to improvise with a stainless steel plate to hide an opening, had trouble getting him to finish installation/ he did after I had to get firm w him. I really wanted to work w a local company instead of a national big box chain. Maybe they've improved, but we will never order from them again- We're done, from A-Z they were terrible. They are very knowledgeable but also very focused on selling you something expensive. Four years ago, I bought a dual fuel range with an overtop microwave. I expressed concerns about ventilation and somehow thought I could add a downdraft system later. The microwave simply recirculates the air, so that I have a foggy house when I sear something in a pan. Now, I've discovered that to set up a downdraft system, I need to buy another range that facilitates that. So five years after purchasing an expensive range and microwave, I'm faced with unhealthy cooking fumes or replacing the entire set-up. read more

My daughter who lives in Wake Forest was in need of a dryer. She suggested I use Garner Appliances. I had selected the one I wanted on line. Spent less than 10 minutes on the phone, got a great deal. They delivered, took it upstairs , disconnected her old dryer and hauled it off. They hooked the new dryer up and we're off. I was a repeat customer. I had a horrendous experience today. I was getting appliances for three locations all within 2/10 of a mile. You would think they would send one truck. First, they changed it last week to this Wednesday. This am, Tuesday they called and said we are bringing them this morning. They sent different delivery trucks to different locations causing me to constantly run between locations. They brought a dented dryer, no fault of theirs, but as I am running between locations I catch they have installed a refrigerator with two dents. They brought a refrigerator hinged on the wrong side to one location and paperwork showed it was wrong. I told the sales lady to not send a new dryer out to replace the dented dryer until tomorrow as I was fed up with their company and she sent it out anyway. While I was at the third location they called me and said they had installed a new dryer and I said I would run back over and they said they were leaving. After bringing two dented appliances to that location they could not wait 5 minutes for me to return and inspect. I try to buy local but it bit me big thing with Garner tv and appliance. I should have just gone to Lowes where I, like many, have had problems but nothing like this. This was a horrible, horrible experience!!!!!!!!!!!! Went into store there were 4 employees working at their computers, no one acknowledged I was even there. After looking around store and not seeing any mattresses I asked one of the employees if I was in the right store he told me they don't sell mattresses that I would have to go to Garner. Not wanting to go to Garner decided to order online, had a question so called Garner location a nice young man told me to call the Raleigh store that they sell mattresses. I'm so confused and have decided to try somewhere else. They really need to get their act together. And location at Plantation needs more training in customer service, I will NEVER go there again. read more

I had a completely different experience than other reviewers. I walked in was greeted within a minute of arrival. The person talked to me a few minutes about the washer I was looking at and then deferred to a salesman with more in depth knowledge of the product differences. They discussed the options and guided me to a machine that met all my needs. I had done some research prior to going and had narrowed it down to two models. They were able to assist me in determining which one suited me the best. I am satisfied that I made a good purchase and I have not found the washer cheaper anywhere else. Delivery was on time within the hour timeframe they said they would be here. The washer installation could not have been any smoother. They did it quickly and without any issues. We were remodeling our kitchen and needed all new appliances. Our contractor recommended Garner so I went to their showroom in Raleigh. I met Dave when I walked into the store he was very friendly. Dave was extremely knowledgeable about all the appliances in the store. We bought a refrigerator, induction oven, microwave, dishwasher and garbage disposal. All were installed by Carl their contractor. I couldn't be happier with how everything went. The prices were great, the items were delivered quickly and the installation went smoothly with no issues. Rude, rude, rude. I waited 15 minutes in an empty store, the only employee telling me multiple times he'd "be right with me." There were literally no other customers. After driving over half an hour to get there, and waiting 15 minutes, I walked out. It was only after I was already in my car that the employee ran to the front door to see where I had gone. I drove right down the road to Home Depot and bought my appliance there, and received excellent customer service. read more

Two tries and both strike outs. The first time I went, the one employee was with someone. He never acknowledged me or said hello. I browsed around for about fifteen minutes and left. I came back on a different day and there were two employees working, both with other customers. Again, no wave or hello or an, 'I'll be with you in a minute." I waited about 15 minutes again and finally went over to interrupt one of them so I could get an idea of how long I was going to need to wait. He told me he was with a customer. I asked if I needed to make an appointment and he told me no, that the other customer was just here before I was. So the good news is that IF you get their attention, you will have it undivided. If you do not happen to come in at a good time, then you probably will wind up as I did, walking out again. I went to Appliance World on Duraleigh and got great customer service. read more

On Saturday July 9th, 2016 - I went to Garner Tv & Appliances (6310 Plantation Center, Raleigh) to purchase a new washer and dryer. Upon entry no acknowledge me nor did the acknowledge the couple that came in after me. There we two employees in the store and both working with other customers but having worked in retail sales I know it only takes a second to say hello. I walked around looking at washers and dryers and walked pass both employees and when the first salesperson finished with their customer he went to the couple that came in after me. After that I left. They crazy thing is I had done my reseach prior to coming to the store, I was coming to purchase Speed Queen washer and dryer.
