In a world where it's hard to find honesty and integrity... Genare is a wonderful surprise. And if you need professional photography, look no further! Anyone can point a camera at something and press the button, but it is rare to find a true photographic artist. I hired Philip Stancil of Modern Marketing to make a website for the business that I do advertising…read morework for. At first, he was very nice and laid out a very clear written agreement that had an outline of the expected time frame for completing the new website I was working on for my employers. Once we started working on the website, and he had his large deposit, he quickly abandoned most of his communication; and I can say, without exaggeration, that he missed EVERY single deadline that he established in our written agreement. When he was confronted about his numerous missed deadlines and extremely poor communication, he consistently had excuses and "personal problems" as for why he couldn't meet his deadlines. During all of this turmoil, he even had the nerve to ask to be paid the remainder of the balance when he had absolutely no work to show for it! He even went as far as calling the Vice President of the company I work for and asked him for early payment! It was completely humiliating (and stressful!) knowing that I hired someone with such a poor work ethic. After a lot of coaxing, Philip finally finished the website-WAY behind schedule! At this point, he was paid for having a complete and functional website with the understanding that our agreement stated that we had a 7 day grace period after he was paid to submit any other changes for him to add to the website. Once again, he started dodging me, and his attitude became downright belligerent now that he had his money. During the next 5 WEEKS of zero progress on our "7 day grace period changes", Philip would either completely ignore me or give very bizarre answers about the website progress-such as promising the changes would be done within a few hours and then not doing any work on it. He was finally told that the changes MUST be done within the next 7 days. So what does Philip do? He posts the finished work on the morning of the 8th day. I've never met someone as purposely spiteful as this and honestly, it made me completely question his "honorable morals" that he proudly trumps on his website and that are praised in reviews left by other people- who I can only assume either gave him very small tasks to complete or are his friends and relatives. In summary, I get the distinct impression that Modern Marketing doesn't have much experience. Websites for businesses seem to be simply beyond his experience and communication level. I honestly felt very taken advantage of and misled and don't want anyone else to have the same disrespectful experience that I had. I've now been working with a different web developer on the next website for my employers, and the difference between him and Philip is night and day! How refreshing to know that a website can be completed in a timely and pleasant manner!
