Mark was referred to us by a retired custom home builder. Originally, we hired a locally owned (since 1959) company with an A+ BBB rating to fix our 9 year old heat pump which was still under warranty for parts. The technicians misdiagnosed the problem and explained that it would cost us $3,600+ to fix the unit. They urged us to purchase a new heat pump which would have cost us $19,000 for a bottom of the line unit. We called Mark who found that the previous company had left wires disconnected. The charge to fix the unit would be $1,200 with the warranty company providing the parts. Mark explained that the heat pump would last 5+ years. If we wanted a new unit, the bill would be $12,000 for an American Standard heat pump.

He was professional and took care of me. Fast forward to my next project Install an outside door to my pool room and a closet door. We had a few bumps along the way but worked through them until recently. He charged me $480.00 to install both doors I gladly paid him before it was 100% complete. He assured me he would not leave me hanging after the experience with the tint issue. 3 weeks ago, he came to install the new closet door I had to purchase much to our disappointment the opening was off and the door had to be trimmed down. He started the process and left with the door installed but not able to close properly. He said a small amount still needed to be trimmed off the side. 3 texts (1 every week at the beginning of the week) I am very patient! He had not responded to any of the 3 texts. I think he is going to leave me hanging. He has ghosted me. I was very happy with his work until this. Communcation is important and if he would have communicated at all with me, I would have left a better review.

He will add many, many charges and expect you to pay. You won't know it until you receive the invoice. He does not supervise subcontractors, and they basically can do any work quality that they see fit. I had to argue with him for 8 months over an HVAC problem and a faulty roof. I finally had to go to the Registrar of Contractors. They determined his work was substandard and unacceptable to construction standards. Be Aware! Be Careful. Also, make sure EVERYTHING is in writing with this individual as he does not always speak the truth.
