Take your business elsewhere…read more My back windshield got smashed in back in 2022, Automotive Concepts was one of the contracted options with my insurance to replace the windshield. Somehow they transcribed my VIN incorrectly and arrived with the wrong window. In 2024 they started calling and sending letters, which I frankly thought was an attempted scam because who would still have an outstanding bill from two years earlier? It apparently was not a scam so I directed them to insurance, I also confirmed with insurance what my deductible should have been at the time of the replacement; it should have been $250 instead of the $500 I was charged. I have left several voicemails requesting a refund of the $250 due to me with no response. This is a shady company which is very poorly ran. Only use them if you want to be overcharged, then years later hassled about the amount they overcharged you. Kiana- call me, you owe me $250.

This place is really kind of unbelievable. Stopped in late in the day on a Saturday, knowing full…read morewell no one was going to see me. My goal was simply to have someone call me back...they were referred to me by my dealership...I have to rethink my relationship with them as well, but that's another story. Anyway, receptionist takes my name and number, explains that the person who covers the kind of work I need done is out sick, but they will get back to me next week. Of course the next week comes..no call... and by Thursday I decide to call them. Same young lady answers the phone, and honestly seemed a bit snippy that I was calling, that the person was still out sick, that she was working alone, etc, etc. Two weeks (!) still no call l, so I call them again. This time I get a guy, who could not have been nicer. He could not find anything under my name in their system on me (how could he? They haven't done anything with me yet). But he did take all my information, asked me to send some pics of what I wanted taken care of if possible, which I did). The next day he texted for the VIN number and he responded with a text indicating he got it and he would make sure to double check that I had transposed that properly. Please note...their first initiated contact TO me. That was it...Never heard from them again. I (again) called them two weeks later. Probably the same receptionist answered the phone, and once again she can't find anything on me in their system. At this point, all contact, including a visit has been initiated by me (with exception of one text asking g for my VIN). On this call I was placed on hold for about 5 mins, but in this day and age, I have come to expect that. The next thing I know is some guy gets on the phone accusing me of abusing his employee. You'll just have to trust me...I could not have more polite, and quite frankly was taken aback by his tone and inference. I tried to explain that perhaps the young lady had me mixed up with another customer (I was on hold for a length of time after all - could that not be concievable?). He didn't seem too interested, however I was really PO'ed and mostly incredibly offended. Nothing near an apology was coming from his (enormous) mouth. In any event, after reading reviews here and on their own site, it is clear to me that at least some of the positive reviews are created by their own shills...perhaps and probably by the owner him/herself. If that is true (and it most likely is) it is absolutely pathetic. Be sure, I will NEVER go anywhere near that place and will warn anyone I know that might be in the market for their services, to do their homework and look for another company with which to do their business. They seem bit "off." Most importantly (and unfortunately) be careful when reading reviews...it's probably more important to digest the poor reviews than the positive ones....just one guy's opinion.

Guess my review got taken off...what's up with that? I'm here again to write what should be on…read morethis site. Called Kerb because they had a high rating. It was someone new as we usually used local movers. We've moved multiple times within the many years we've been here in Maryland. This was a local move from Brewers Hill to Upper Fells, not far at all. I called to make sure they did local moves and they said yes. It seems as I called someone in California. They were very receptive initially. After I deposited the money, I didn't get any information until a few days before and I actually had to reach out to them first. I then got a call from someone that didn't really know the situation. Couldn't get a hold of the guy that initially started it all out. I was hoping for the best. All that aside, I was told the guys would call me 30 mins before. I got a call at 8 or so in the morning the day of. He did not have the addresses of any of the places. Found out he didn't have the right size truck. I was quoted an estimate and understood that it would probably be a bit over that, but not 500 dollars over. 1. Tried calling that day to get a hold of ANYONE...2. Guys started moving slower...understood but they only had 3 guys and I told the initial guy in california (in which he obviously didn't get a good understanding of how much we had) so the 2 bed house with a 10x10 storage unit and more boxes in the basement of the place we were renting...I told him I would even get pictures. ANYWAYS!!! Frustrated that it was taking way longer as the guys finally got to the house with, I thought, all of it...found out that it was not a big enough truck to make it all in one run. This pushed the amount much higher as they started to move slower. I realized that since this probably was not KERB...it was contracted out...the onus is on KERB for not getting a good understanding of what we had, not even calling me back the day of, and then trying to email and phone me after I had put up a bad review. Sorry, but you should have called me that day. You should have gotten a better estimate on what was being moved. If Yelp's not recommending software either deletes this or whatever it might be that they take it off again...I'll add it again. Not happy with Kerb or Yelp at this point. Hopefully people find this helpful and shop local.

We've used other movers in the past for similar long distance moves and in terms with overall experiences, Kerb was the best! They were very particular about arriving on time for pick up. With that being said, they were 15 mins late. Lol. But i have to say their hard work made up for it. The movers was very thorough with the package and handling ensuring that no items received had a slight scratch. These guys are definitely well trained professional movers. Amazing moving skills that I would of never ever thought about. These guys work with nothing but boxes, crates, tape, plastic and bubble wrap. We were amazed. The good new is nothing came ruin or broken full service of packing and unpacking. It doesn't get better than that. My family was left highly satisfied with the personal attention and responsibility taken by the company during the move. Gotta give these guys a try if anyone one looking for a long distance move.

Efrain arrived promptly, was thorough in his explanation and fair in his estimation of my project. Although I haven't settled on him as a contractor, I've been impressed with his professionalism. Personal character is vital when working with a contractor. Efrain and GEA definitely stand out! --------- Post contract and work ---------- It's with mixed feelings I provide this review. In July I met with the owner and operator of GEA painting and remodeling, Efrain Contreras. I was provided an estimate for a bathroom remodel and eventually decided to move forward with the work. He talked a good game before and at the start of work but things became shady shortly after. This will be a longer review so for clarity I have numbered the events that took place. 1. We agreed on services and a price. He promised a written agreement and then started to make excuses about providing the document. I decided to draft a document outlining all the proposed work and had him sign it to receive the deposit. 2. He and the team were a no-show, no call the start of work. He states he had a family emergency and had no way to contact me. I'm an understanding person, so I let it go. 3. Workers showed the 2nd week. One good thing I could say is that they were prompt. However, they never stayed the allotted time. For example, Efrain would say we'll be there Saturday and Sunday. But then they would not show on Sunday, which prolonged the project. 4. They wet my basement bathroom twice. Yes, twice! I won't use the term flood but the basement bathroom was so wet I had to use my wet vacuum and fan for days to dry it. I asked Efrain, was the guy working on my house a plumber? He response was I'm a plumber, I do this for a living. ( But he wasn't there nor supervising. His license is in electric. I was very wary of my decision and the quality of work.) It turned out the guy was not a plumber and then I had to put my foot down about the subcontractors selected to work on my house. 5. His employee's do not speak English. I was under the impression he would be present during the day. Efrain stopped by in the mornings and was gone the rest of the day. Basically, he showed when I had a concern, problem or to collect his money. A lot of issues could have been avoided with communication but he was never around. 6. We agreed he would purchase the necessary items and I would reimburse him based on the receipts. He kept purchasing the wrong supplies. Then he said he purchased $270 of supplies but never provided the receipts. RED FLAG... That didn't fly! 7. Often they used my supplies and did not clean them. For example my wet vac. They used it and never emptied it out. They broke a glass mirror and threw it in my trash with no bag. He said they would remove debris after work, they never did. Buckets and trash were left around my house. 8. Lastly, he never returned to complete the final touch-ups. Shady business practices. Sub-par work and execution. He'll promise you the world, but after the money exchange, shady work is all that's left. I will say my bathroom looks 100% better than its former 1970's look. But I feel the company is unreliable, unprofessional and unlicensed for some of the work they claim to be able to carry out. All in all, I'd rate this business 2 stars. One for the unguided workers trying to make a living and two for the improved look of my old bathroom. I pray my bathroom holds up. Beware of this company, its owner, and his shady practices!!!

I sourced estimates from 7 different contractors - Junior was the ONLY contractor who went up to the attic during the estimate to inspect the joists and support structure. He was also the only one who wore a mask (unprompted) due to Covid. That gave me the indication early on that he would be thorough and professional. The work itself was impeccable - different crew members have their specialities (flooring, carpentry, electrical, etc.) and were assigned accordingly. They were always prompt and respectful and they cleaned up after every work day. Junior was extremely thorough and addressed every single concern I had. The price was more than fair, the work was excellent, and everything was performed to code. I am 100% satisfied and very grateful that I found GEA - I have recommended them to all of my neighbors and will be using them for all of my future home improvement projects!
