Ordered a pizza and have to say - easily a top 5 for me. It had amazing crust, the sauce was perfect!! We also had an order of bread and it was outstanding as well. Highly recommend! Especially if you are there with a cruise.

Views of the water work equally well from inside or out on the patio. That is a nice touch. Start with cocktails, this bartender knows his craft! The old-fashioned was balanced--that rare moment where sweet and spirit and bitters hit in the right proportion. The Cocktail of the Year from 2023 more than earned the title. Crisp, layered, the kind of drink that makes you sit up and pay attention. The 48-hour focaccia with 12-year aged balsamic opened the meal right. The bread ferments into something with real depth and structure, the balsamic is dark and tangy, the oil is there to round it. Simple and deliberate. The fried chicken that followed--buttermilk crust so good you hear it crack when you cut into it, hot honey and n'duja mayo cutting through the richness. This is how you do fried chicken. My pork chop came dark with mustard seeds cutting through, radicchio pulling bitter notes, potatoes that deserved their own mention. My wife's tiger prawn linguine was where the kitchen played it safe. Good pasta, proper cook, white wine and butter holding it together. It was satisfying without being memorable. Baked Alaska closed it. Crunchy meringue shell, ice cream cold in the middle. The kind of finish that sticks with you because you almost never see it anymore. #Oliveto #FineFood #ItalianBistro

We had : Mega Deal for 18.99 with deep pan pizza, garlic pizza bread, nachos and chocolate dough…read moreballs I ordered online which was pretty painless. There's a handy built in feature before you check out where you can see if it would work out cheaper to get meal deals instead of whatever was in your cart. Grand, let's give it a whirl. It worked out the same to get the Mega Deal and extra sides. I am not a big fan of Dominos wedges (undercooked every time I order them) so I opted for nachos and my all time fave Dominos side, garlic pizza bread. I wasn't familiar with the desserts but the choc bites sounded good. I was also able to set the delivery time and it arrived at 9 on the dot, as requested. Hrmmm. I should have just gone for the pizza and garlic bread but it worked out the same to get this meal deal instead. Normally I'd go for one of our local independent pizzerias but I was dying for a proper deep dish pizza and read reviews of the UK version which sounded amazing. I was sold after reading about the buttery crust. It wasn't :( The pizza was tasty but the crust wasn't flaky and the cheese could have been a little browner. It was good but I wasn't blown away. The garlic pizza bread was the only side I liked. The nachos were very burned around the edges and the choc balls were very bitter. In short, will possibly order the pizza and garlic bread again at some point but I will continue on my quest for deep dish pizza perfection

Fish and chip day; how could I forget?…read more Remembering at about five o'clock and furiously throwing on clothes, I ran to the local Borzas. The good thing about forgetting until this stage of the day, was the lack of a queue for half price fish and chips. Fish and chips exactly as you would expect from a chipper, served in paper packets. I sat and ate mine on a little patch of green in Dalkey (sit by the sea if you can, in Billy Goats Park, but I just couldn't wait until then). Fish; good crispy batter; needs salt. Chips; just go all out and get cheese plus garlic sauce; always a must. Everything you expect from a chipper; this delivers the best. The stars are knocked off only because one, I've had better in places like the Fish Shop, and for the service which at times can be slightly unfriendly/ unaccommodating. Overall, good. Does what it says on the tin. Watch out for queues though; Christmas eve is a nightmare!

Who doesn't love a cheeky bag of chipper chips on the fly once in a blue moon? Finding myself…read morewalking past one evening after missing lunch and recognising the famous Borza name I decided it was fate and ordered a bag. I was surprised at first when I was told it would be 10 minutes - as generally 5 minutes usually means 10, what could 10 mean? As I had an appointment I kept my eye on the clock went to feed the meter and when I came back my chips were handed to me in a bag. I eagerly sytolled down the road sampling said chips and was so disappointed, they were pale, floppy and just did not taste good. Back I went and was courteously given a generous replacement bag which were very little better. I was told it was the vinegar which had made them so flaccid and soggy - however in my experience a crispy crunchy golden chip has a texture which makes the vinegar slide off it, enhancing the taste not sopping up the moisture. I was at that stage late so at a loss I popped them in the back of the car instead of binning them as I was tempted. When I got home I had the oven on and never being one to waste anything thought I would pop them in the oven and see what the family made of these off chips. Well miracle of miracles 10 minutes later, even though I just popped them in bag and all and did not use a baking tray, they came out DELICIOUS. Golden crispy, crunchy, lovely. Proving that they were just not cooked enough or indeed well which is odd as I had to wait so long for them. So unless you are getting the chips to cook yourself at home, I would avoid, avoid, avoid. It really does take a special set of skills to have professional frying equipment and be able to turn the usually ever tasty and desirable chip into an inedible mess - and judging from my home experience, nothing wrong with the potato just not cooked right or enough. If a McDonald's chip was a 10 and an oven chip was a 4 - these chips were a big fat pale floppy ZERO. Libero Borza of Malahide, if you are reading this, I know this is not your shop and I am so sorry but this is a shame on your family name and long standing tradition of excellence,
