If there was NO STARS, that's exactly what this place would get. People are facing troubling times and GARYS and GREG THE MANAGER AT GARYS is so rude and disrespectful. I called to PAY OFF a balance and received so much rudeness that I couldn't get a single word in! These people are SHARKS!!! They are not looking to build customer relationships they are looking for blood!! They are SOLELY ABOUT the money no matter if we are in a pandemic! Greg did not provide exceptional customer service he didn't even try to help! He talked over me and said nothing could be done! You are better off going to a credit bureau than deal with these people and don't get me started with the weak insurance they provide and the Maintence or repairs!!! DO NOT SHOP HERE! read more

This dealership will give anyone a chance, but after that.. you are on your on. If anything breaks down on your vehicle. They couldn't care less... they will find a way not to repair it. I bought my vehicle on Oct 31 2015 and the shifter went out in December 2015. I work a position where I cannot take off, so I took off in February..And Sergio told me well you need to be current on your payments, assuming that I am not, and that I can only bring it on Mon or Tues. They go to auction on Wed. So now you're telling me all these things and at the end of the day, my repair isn't covered under the warranty. You had my car all day?? Just to tell me that? What is covered, Please tell me!! What is the two year (free) warranty for? Is that real? Or just way to make customers feel safe? I hope to never deal with them again, I will pray that God takes care of people like them. If they want to portray the Christian background, please practice what you preach! By the way, the General Manager at the Singleton location advised, well if you got sick months from now we wouldn't know that... so it's the same with our cars. What do you expect? I received no apology or any solution. P.S. all their cars are overpriced..and they don't inspect the cars for any mechanical issues before they sell them, that was told me by the General Manager directly. read more

these people are the worse car salesmen ppl ever.. first they sell me a car and I sign a contract for one price now I'm paying way more and they say it's collateral insurance but I didnt agree to pay that.. so it really a scam .. then they give you the hardest time .. Greg is the rudest most disrespectful person I have ever spoke to.. I drove way across town to make a payment he wouldn't execpt my payment . when I was making more than a regular payment .. he didn't give me no amount he threating me said I better come back with more then an regular payment .. so I call a week long to try to talk to Greg her never called me back and I didn't want to drive and waste more gas for them not to except my payment then they come and repossess my car when I'm trying to pay them money all because the communication is horrible .. the have terrible customer service skills .. I'm so upset I will never buy or shop with them again I never met a company so money hungry and rude but want your business read more

Terrible customer service as well as rude salesman and management named Greg! I wouldn't recommend business! Had the worst experience yesterday because the brakes on my 2015 charger were bad. They refused to replace the brakes even though i only had the car not even two months. They demanded i pay for all four brakes ans pay my car note which costs me 420 for brakes and 578 for my car note and the management wouldn't release my car til then. He even turned around in his desk and refused to talk to me. DO NOT BE THE NEXT VICTIM read more

These people may have decent cars but they're staff is GHETTO. If you want a used car just because you can't afford a brand new one should not mean that you should be treated like you're less than them. They will mess up and not take ownership of it. They are so money hungry that one time I forgot to pay 12 cents, and I kept getting calls over the 12 cents, and a late fee. They're so ridiculous. Look elsewhere, there are other places that one can at least get the respect they deserve. read more

Established in 1983.

Gary's Used Cars began business in Irving Texas back in 1983. When the doors opened there were 10 vehicles and there was Gary. Gary closed on Wednesdays back then to get vehicles through the make ready process. Gary's Used Cars has won several awards through the years and has been recognized as a quality dealership from the Dallas County Automobile Dealers Association and the Texas Independent Automobile Dealers Association. Today Gary's Used Cars has 4 retail locations, and a central service center that is open to it's customers. We offer over 300 late model low mileage vehicles to the DFW metroplex.

Meet the Business Owner: Gary S.

I was born in Upland California September 26, 1957. My father was in the Navy so our family traveled around quite a bit. We settled in Irving Texas around August of 1960. I attended Elementry through High School in Irving Texas. I spent five years in college attending the University of Texas in Austin and Cameron University in Lawton Oklahoma. I then joined my father in law in the car business as a salesman in 1980. On January 1, 1983 I opened Gary's Used Cars at 1316 E. Irving Blvd in Irving Texas. I have been a member of the Dallas County Automobile Dealers Association and the Texas Independent Automobile Dealers Association since day one. I have served every executive board position available for both associations. I am currently serving as the Chairman of the Board for the Texas association. I believe to be a successful dealer you need to have the best education available especially in your field.

I spoke to Greg and Virginia at the main location for their dealership. And they admitted that they lost my payment for my car payment and it was to never be found. And the owner Greg.. advised it's not his problem.. You just need to cancel the money order and have one re-created. How can you put that back on the customer? On top of that I have my own auto insurance, and they tried to force place insurance on my vehicle because their systems did not have my updated insurance company info. After I called the Carrollton location 3 times with the information to update. The front desk is clueless.. management preys on people that are down on their luck and they try every way to make you feel insignificant. Don't shop here, keep looking. I have a lawyer and I will be suing for harassing phone calls, losing my payment with my personal information being compromised and fraud for force placing insurance on my account.. when I have insurance already. read more

Honest opinion of my experience: I purchase a 2016 Hyundai Veloster, at the Carrollton Texas location. Of the 2 years having my car - I purchased a new set of tires, regular yearly maintenance, and replaced trunk lock. I purchased a Very Good Car and I'm pleased with it. They used me as a pawn to ask questions about getting audited when I was speaking to a loan representative. They offered me a car on the spot for $150/month, adding a few hours to my visit and then after applying for a loan, which they didn't consider, payment would be as low as 240. I gave a deposit to hold a car and to provide assurance that after repairs (a dead battery, broken Struts, broken sunroof/moonroof, and missing cargo cover), but when DCU informed me of the real title condition, it took me 2 days to get the refund and speaking with the sealed rep and owner of the business. I clearly expressed that I was no longer interested in associating myself with the business and looking elsewhere. A few days later, the owner messages me about s new arrival I might be interested in. This was after I spoke to the manager about the integrity, professionalism , and methods of selling that I experienced.
