    This review is about my experience bringing in my 2022 Chrysler Voyager to Master Garage. This was actually the second vehicle I brought in within a few days...the first being my 2022 RAV4 Hybrid. I initially believed everything went smoothly with the RAV4, which is why I returned so quickly with a second vehicle. Unfortunately, what happened with the Chrysler has caused me to question the transparency of both visits. I will be getting the RAV4 inspected separately and will post a separate review once I verify all work. 1. Clearly Agreed-Upon Parts (With Screenshots): Before dropping off the Chrysler , Alex Moazeni and I exchanged texts confirming the exact brake pads to be used: -BrakeBest Select Pro Ceramic Pads -Part numbers: SPC1589 (front) and SPC1901 (rear) Screenshots attached show the full discussion and agreement. I even sent him the product links, the prices, and screenshots of the pads in the cart, and he confirmed that these were the pads he would go with because they "have a better warranty." Everything was documented in writing. 2. Lower-Tier Pads Were Installed Instead (With Photos Provided by the Shop): After picking up the van, I inspected the brakes myself and saw completely different pads installed: -Total Stopping Solutions (TSS) ceramic pads -TD1589C front -TD1901C rear These are not the BrakeBest pads we discussed.They're a lower-tier product and a significantly lower-priced one. The shop even sent me photos of the boxes (attached), confirming the mismatch. 3. The Price Difference (Which Is Documented): Here are the actual numbers: -BrakeBest Select Pro Front: $84.99 -BrakeBest Select Pro Rear: $78.99 -TSS Front: $56.99 -TSS Rear: $36.49 Total difference: $76.32 Yet I was charged the full amount associated with the higher-tier pads. 4. No Communication Before Substitution: I was not called, texted, or asked permission to switch the agreed-upon product. The shop's explanations changed multiple times, including: -"They didn't have that brand." -"We paid the same price." -"I didn't know it would be that much of a concern." But when a shop cannot source the parts the customer agreed to, the standard practice is to call and ask before substituting. That did not happen. 5. Warranty Claims That Weren't Accurate: During our conversation, Alex also used the "included warranty" as justification for the price and why a refund shouldn't be necessary. However: -Brake pad warranties come from the manufacturer, not from the shop. -The shop's responsibility is only to process the claim, not to pay for replacement pads out of pocket. -Manufacturers typically reimburse or credit the shop for warranty replacements. Meaning: -The warranty is not something the shop "includes." -The shop doesn't lose money by honoring it. -It cannot reasonably be used to justify installing cheaper pads at higher-tier pricing. This point had to be clarified directly. 6. Attempts to Resolve the Issue To his credit, Alex did respond, but the resolution process was frustrating: -First offered a free $18.50 state inspection -Then a free oil change -Then said "that's all we can do" -Then asked if an $80 refund was "fair" -Then asked if getting the refund meant I'd leave 5-star reviews on Google and Yelp(Screenshots attached). Offering a refund in exchange for a 5-star review is not only inappropriate, it violates FTC, Google, and Yelp policies. I clarified that any review would be honest and not tied to compensation. Alex eventually issued the $80 refund, which I appreciate, but only after a long back and forth that should not have been necessary considering the clear evidence. 7. Now Questioning the RAV4 Work Because of how the Chrysler situation unfolded, I now feel obligated to have the RAV4 inspected to verify: -That the claimed work was actually performed -That the correct products were used -That the coolant flush was actually done I will post a separate review once that inspection is complete. UPDATE 12/8/25: In response to the owner's response to my initial review... Alex, thank you for responding. Your reply actually reinforces exactly why I felt obligated to share my experience. To be clear, I did not request a 'huge discount.' I asked for the documented $76.32 difference between the BrakeBest Select Pro pads we agreed on and the lower-tier TSS pads that were installed without approval. You refunded that because the documentation was indisputable. More concerning than the parts issue is your choice to tell a customer who brought you two vehicles in one week that they 'can't afford to maintain their vehicle.' That comment says far more about the professionalism of this shop than anything in my review. My review is not emotional, it's supported by screenshots, part numbers, pricing, and your own written messages. Everything stated is accurate and backed by evidence. I'm not here to argue. My review exists so future customers can see the full experience and decide for themselves.
