Had an ok boarding experience last year. But just took my dog back for 4 nights this week and I'm…read morevery disappointed. Took her out after paying and I'm quite sure that she had been holding it for hours first of all. Next, when I got her home, she drank 3 full bowls of water - so not sure when she had some last. A 3rd disappointment was that she's on allergy meds - I took them and explained to the owner that she got one per day in a pill pocket (also taken in with her). No meds were given AT ALL. Lastly, the groomer who checked me out couldn't have cared less whether she was cared for or not and had her in a tiny cage (she's 56 pounds). Afraid my days of boarding there are 2 and done.

We returned to calmer, well mannered pups. He offers Saturday classes, to maintain proper training (for the dogs & their owners). I only do so because I truly believe he is running a dangerous operation, and I am thinking of the animals, too. Won't get into the details of it, but basically had a pup with Customized K9 from its birth to a little under a year, and we are still questioning about whether he will be able to overcome the damage from the bad habits we built in our time at Customized K9. Yes, there is no one "right" way or method of training, but there are things that can be seen as a "wrong" way because of the negative long term effects/etc. Regardless of my poor "messed up" pup, who my heart aches for every day and that I am now paying for again to undo training I had paid Customized K9 for, there were issues from the beginning. It was incredibly unorganized, we got very mixed communication/information, if any, and were handed a very complex breed of dog as a puppy (too early, might I add) with no guidance. I wish that we had met our current trainer first. We were too naive to know any better, honestly, which is why I'm making this review. There's very little information out there on the type of dog training Customized K9 does as well as the type of dog they breed. Their Facebook page has a video of the trainer stating that everyone needs to calm down about training styles and it's just about taking your dogs out and "having fun." Well, it's not so "fun" if your dog ends up messed up, or even dangerous, is it? Update: I also left a shorter version of this review on their Facebook page and they removed it.
