We named her Daisy May. Daisy was exactly what we needed in our lives. She is truly a blessing. We had been talking back and forth about getting Daisy to a trainer so that she could be with us at work. We just didn't want to be without her all day. So I was reading an ad on Nextdoor Rubin Center and I called the number and I spoke to Mike Letterman on the phone and wanted to meet us and Daisy. As soon and Lance and I met Mike we just knew this is where we wanted Daisy to be trained, by Mike Letterman with Down Boy Down K9. The only thing we were hung up on was being without Daisy for two whole weeks but we know this is the route we needed to take. Mike took Daisy for two weeks and brought her back to us. We were amazed with the way Daisy learned her commands - because she was a stubborn dog. While she still can be stubborn, when we tell her Sit, Here, Place and all her different commands - she listens. She just knows! Mike spent some time with Lance and I teaching us what he taught Daisy and the commands he uses and the steps we take to continue the training. Daisy is wonderful and delightful. She is loved by everyone that comes to the office. We work at American Store & Lock # 5 on South Tryon Street in Charlotte NC and our customers will come to the office to see our Daisy May - they just love her so. We call her our therapy dog. She gets so excited when people come to the office she will get up and greet them to make a friend. We are so thankful we found Mike Letterman with Down Boy Down K9. He absolutely does a phenomenal job with training dogs and when the two weeks are up, it doesn't end there. He still calls to check on Daisy and checks on us to see how things are going and if we need any help in any areas. I took my large breed dog in for grooming. He was shedding profusely. I do brush him often but…read morecould not keep up with it. He had some matting behind his ears but not a lot. I try to cut out any that I find. My dog is well cared for. Anyway, I received a call from the groomer. She said they would not be able to get him dried if they gave him a bath. I took him in at 8:30 A.M. She said he had difficulty standing. (Of course he does, he is a large breed and gets tired.)She said she was able to shave him, mostly on the floor. (I've seen videos of other groomers doing that.) Essentially, they did not want to continue with him. She even shaved his tail!!! My dog's beautiful, fluffy tail looks like an extra appendage! You don't shave a dog's tail.! There are long tufts of fur that were missed and the shaving was uneven. I went to pick him up and they charged $250!!!! They charged double what I would have expected for a complete grooming package. This was an incompetent, lazy, incomplete job.Then, I was asked if I wanted to leave a tip! (Incredulous!!) Anyone that operates a business needs to learn that, they do not "work for themselves;they work for the people paying them, ie., the customers. The facility was also rather offensive with odor as soon as I walked through the door. (I've been to other groomers and have never been met with bad odors, especially upon entry.) Perhaps, of you have a small pet, the experience may be fine. Otherwise, stay away from Bubbles Bath and Beyond.
