Been a silver member ( $19.99) for the longest time and have always had a nice wash. A few tough spots , like tar and bugs in the front windshield or front bumper was always a problem. So I upgraded to the ($29.99) diamond membership. What a difference in the car wash. You get rainex, wax, a more powerful 3 solution application, extra blower at the end, wheel-shine, and turbo blast fork your side panels. The vacuum system is great, very powerful so just watch for any valuables you don't want to be sucked up. There are 13/14 locations which is great and employees are helpful. Open from 8-8 7 days a week which makes it very customer friendly. read more

I'm upping to 5 Stars today. I had a $5 coupon on the most expensive wash, ceramic. But I was unable to get the coupon to scan or enter with the keypad. I received a message the code was invalid. The expiration date was February 2023, so I knew it should work. I hit the help button and two employees tried to enter the coupon as well without success. They gave me the $25 car wash for free. Wash period I was very disappointed with the results of the car wash itself period the vacuum. It was even worse. I look for an attendant to notify them. Oh my dissatisfaction. They were double billing my card twice every month for 10 months. I called the corporate office and they tried to get out of it by saying they could only see back for the last 3- months due to a new computer system. I had to go back and screen shot every bank statement for 2024 and submit it to them. They credited back 3 payments to my card, and then took 3/5 weeks to mail me a check for the others after several calls and excuses. I cancelled all 3 car memberships for the family, and also had all of my company sales reps with company cars cancel their memberships as well (18 total). I love this car wash. The little staff they have, have always been friendly and helpful. I love the options they give you and have been debating becoming a member. Stopped for a quick wash. Seems to be your typical automatic car wash so I didn't expect perfection. It did the job and got most of the dirt and pollen off. Pro tip: I learned that you can ask for the tire shine to be turned off. All washes include the tire shine which is done by a machine instead of just being sprayed on. I was happy with the actual wash, however my grandchildren 4 and 6 like to go to the car wash and love helping me clean the car unfortunately my grandson who is 6 had to go pee really bad after we had been there for about 20 minutes, I asked them if he could please use the restroom and they said no, that the restroom was not public, so I had to cut my detailing short after paying $23 to find him a bathroom to pee. I was at the Blanding Blvd Gate Carwash on 12/16/2021. The wash and the vacuum actually work really well . The problem with this place is there is ZERO management presence. This allows a thug element to thrive unabated. Several car had music BLARING with every other lyric a hard curse word, even though there are signs at every station advising " no loud music". As I attempted to vacuum my vehicle , grown men who appeared to NOT be using the facility roamed around , eventually coming dangerously close to me and my vehicle . I made the decision to just leave . I thought about complaining or attempting to get a refund as it was obviously too dangerous to continue to be in this property. It is too bad , I was there for this facilities grand opening and there were employees and managers everywhere ! Not the case now. They have decided to let the thugs take it over . They can have it ! Stay away from these people...at my location near Beach and Hodges, the information about the changes and charges that became effective in January 2025 was non-existent other than one sign at the exit of the wash area that said that prices were going to increase in 2025. Expecting them to be a reputable business, I figured they'd inform members with an email or text--or better yet, a printed flyer that was handed to each person who entered the wash area. None of that happened. I had no idea how much the increase would be until my credit card was charged $36.46 in January. I had been paying $19.99 for several years. Seems my basic wash option was discontinued (again, no warning about that) so they automatically upgraded me to the higher level without my knowledge/input/authorization. Without using a single wash after the new charge posted in January, I cancelled the very next day and they refused to refund the charge. In my eyes, they are not a reputable business. I changed to Take 5 car wash and for $23.60/month I get a much better wash than I ever had at Gate. read more

Took my car through This car wash and see the most expensive package they offered. My car looks exactly how it did before. I even paid extra for the bug spray. Didn't make a difference. When approached the customer service they refused to run it again. Don't waste your time and money, go to the one down the street you will be a lot happier for $3 dollars more. Yesterday evening was my first visit to a Gate Express. It's similar in concept to a place I used to take my SUV to in Charlotte except at Gate you vacuum your own vehicle whereas at my previous wash, the attendants not only vacuumed but also wiped down your interior as part of most of their wash packages. They also took your payment before you entered the wash. At Gate, you line up in a number of lanes and prepay at a kiosk before being guided into the wash by an attendant. I selected the Platinum Wash for $15, which is about $5-10 less than what I'd pay in Charlotte, depending on the package. $15 isn't bad considering you vacuum and detail your vehicle yourself. Once you exit the wash, you park in any number of spaces. Each space has vacuums on both sides so you don't have to engage in calisthenics and throw your back out just to get a halfway decent floor mat cleaning. Speaking of, Gate Express also offers floor mat cleaner if you're a DIY kinda person. It was sufficiently busy around the time I went but there was plenty of spacing between customers and cars. I've driven by Gate Express on the weekends when it's packed. I recommend going during the week if you can. As for the results, the Platinum Wash sufficiently cleaned the exterior about as well as to be expected from an automated car wash. In Gate's defense, it didn't remove some bugs and debris but that's from my frequent and recent interstate travel so I'll have to run it through the wash again soon. Bonus points to Gate for offering two monthly pass levels for $14.99 and $29.99 where you can basically wash your car once a day, every day at any of their locations. And there are a ton of convenient locations throughout Jax so if you happen to be across town and need a quick wash, you're certain to come across at least one location to serve you. read more

Be cautious using this company. I took my brand new car in for its first wash and my car was scratched on the rear passenger side. I brought it to the manager attention and he immediately denied my claim. I told him this is my very first time washing my car and my car was flawless prior to my car wash. He gave me the information to submit a claim only to have the claims department in California email saying they denied my claim. I had membership for over 9 years and the mishandling, unprofessionalism, and mismanagement of my claim I will NEVER use their services again. This is a brand spanking new car wash facility with 3 drive up lanes for kiosks and the auto pull your car washer that I love! The car wash prices start at $5 for a silver level wash, gold is $10, platinum is $15 and $20 is the diamond treatment. Once you pull out if the wash, there are close to 40 stalls for free vacuum use as well as drying. Right now these stalls are not covered and this is a downer since you have to be very quick to self dry your vehicle before the sun begins water spotting the windows and paint (especially on these scorching hot summer days). Every time you come to this gate on the weekend especially on blanding there's always something wrong with one of the lanes somebody gets stuck where you pay and you sit in the line for forever trying to get through ridiculous. Then you cannot back out to go to the one in oakleaf that normally has any problems I've never encountered a problem when I go to oakleaf but every time I come here there is something either broken vacuums or you can't get through because there's an issue with someone trying to pay and one lane is open read more

Went through Gate CARWASH & noticed soap did not rinse off the hood of my car. I hand driven to the corner & soap was flying on my windshiel. When I got out & say it I returned. The manage, Christian, said the wash had been funky, but since I drove off the property he couldn't rinse the car I had to wait till the next day. I have driven through the wash before & no water came out, why did they let me go through when they knew? I understand rules, but when it was clearly their fault & you could see the soap all over the front of the vehicle & windshield an exception could have been made. I would not recommend this car wash! My car is never clean enough. The first time I brushed it off because I only got the $5 first level wash. My car was covered with bird poop and more than half remained after being ran through I asked the attendant why and he said it was because the next tier has more soap. But today I paid $20 for the top tier wash and my car was STILL DIRTY. There were water spots covering every surface, bugs smashed (the attendant said the bugs were still on it because I dissent pay an extra $3 for bug removal), and there was still marks from a chalk marker from an event I had just come from. If I could leave 0 stars, I would. After receiving a car wash I also received MANY scratches and even paint taken off of the hood of my car. My boyfriend pointed out the damages the following morning and mind you, I have had this car for literally 3 months and this was my first car wash since getting the car. I now have many scratches clearly resulting from the car wash from the bristles and the paint was taken from the hood of my car, assumingly from the pressure wash before the wash started because the paint was in tact just that morning. The response was definitely dismissive claiming I had these damages prior to the car wash. Definitely won't be coming here again. If you want a decent car wash, I'd suggest getting done by hand or make sure you take pictures of your car prior to getting one done, because these people won't take any responsibility for the damages. Horrible! I have been a member with gate express carwash for over a year. I purchased the silver package, which is $20. For the past 3 months, I have been overcharged $40, 3 times on top of the $20 for my real membership. I contacted corporate in april for the first $40, I asked to have it credited to my account. Then last month I was charged $20 for my silver membership. A week later I was charged $40 again, so I went to the actual location I signed up at because the corporate office was closed. The manager at that location gave me a refund for the $40. On may 30th, I was charged again $40! I called the corporate office, and I was told they needed to do an investigation before they refunded me MY money. After a 2 day investigation, they found out there was another customer with the same name as me and similar card numbers, but different vehicles. My money was refunded to my account, and I was told that the issue was resolved and that the second account was no longer linked to my bank account. Today, I tried to get a carwash, and the machine said I was blacklisted! I immediately called corporate (while I was blocked in the carwash line). They informed me that I was, in fact blacklisted and they gave me absolutely no reason for blacklisting me. They just decided that I was the problem and blacklisted me. I give them zero stars for overcharging me and wasting my time! read more

I like having a monthly package option as for me it saves money and time overall. The customer service on site is really good. However, this place is often closed 'for maintenance'. These closures are very often. Also, the conveyor towards the end of the line has always made all my cars roll back, not forward, and it is tricky to get into drove gear each time as a result. I'm visiting my daughter and her fam from Pensacola and pulled into a new Gate car wash in Durban Pavilion, primarily to clean off highway bugs and grime from the 5 hour trip on I10. Big thumbs down compared to my neighborhood car wash. First, it did no remove all the bug splatter despite paying an extra $3 for that option. Second, it left lots of spots. Third, it left lots of dripping water around mirrors and tailgate. finally, Gate does not provide customers with self-serve window cleaning or touch up drying towels like their competitors. I have had a monthly membership for both our BMW's at Gate Express since they opened on Beach and Hodges Blvd. I'm in my car every day on business and I probably run my X5 through the car wash 3 times a week on average. I have the Diamond membership and it does a fantastic job. I keep a microfiber cloth towel in my car that I get from Costco, and I take 5 minutes to dry off excess water and quickly vacuum each time. The convenience to have these car wash locations in Jacksonville is really wonderful for me. Great value! read more

I have been a monthly subscriber to gate car wash. I recently went to the gate car wash on County Road 210. After I went through I discovered that the turn signal on the mirror on the driver's side was knocked off. I went back to the office and asked them to find it. They didn't find it and offered to file a claim for me. After I filed the claim, nothing happened. No phone calls, no emails, nothing. The phone number on their Facebook page doesn't work. Please beware when you use gate car wash. If it damages your vehicle, you are out of luck. And, the damage is usually below the value of your deductible. read more

This place is terrible!!! I went through the wash (I got the highest, most expensive one) and it didn't clean my car at all. So they let me go through again, the second time also did not clean my car at all. They said it was because of the roof racks on top of my car? I've never had an issue with that before at other places. The second time through, they also busted my sunroof so water came pouring in. When I told them about it they filed a claim, but they said they wouldn't do anything about it because it was "pre-existing damage". Which is bs because my car was perfectly fine before this place. Went through argyle/ branding location 10/22/21 paid for one month membership , went through Carwash and left. i didn't realize i needed to come in to office to finalize membership that was my mistake. I tried to use the Carwash again and they had no record of my transaction or membership I entered at the kiosk thing. So they will not cancel the re according charge to my account every month of 32.24 and I can not use the car wash.
