Lemme start off by saying that I'm gluten free so there isn't really much of anything for me to eat…read morehere. Why do I keep coming back you ask? The drinks! Their milk tea is literally too good!!!! I used to get the bubble milk tea with cheese foam added (30% sugar) and it was my addiction. After I became dairy free I switched to the mango green tea with lychee jelly (0% sugar) and am without regrets. My boyfriend also loves the breads especially the jalapeño cream cheese bread when it comes around.

If you're a fan of Asian (Taiwanese-style) pastries, desserts, cakes, bubble tea, and coffee, you…read morehave to check out Sunmerry! It's an international bakery/cafe chain that was founded in Taiwan. They offer a large variety of savory and sweet baked goods. Everything is baked fresh daily AND reasonably priced! This location is right near the heart of Fort Lee's bustling main street. Parking is available through metered streets, lots, and a garage. It's not a large bakery, so it can feel crowded during peak hours. Weekends are very busy. There's a few tables inside as well as outdoor seating. Wifi available. I was pretty impressed by the variety of pastries they had - egg tarts, bolo buns, cream puffs, breads, donuts, croissants, and gorgeous cakes! They also have seasonal items for holidays like the Mid-Autumn Festival and Halloween. Their pastries aren't intensely sweet - instead, they focus on creating a delicate balance between sweetness and other flavors. It's self-service, so you get a tray and choose which ones you want. You can pair your sweet treat with one of their many delicious bubble teas or espresso drinks. The employees are friendly and quick. This is a very busy spot, but they're able to provide efficient service while still being warm and welcoming. Here's what I've tried: *Honey Shaken Latte ~$7 - I can't stop thinking about this drink!!! Honey and espresso combined together tastes AMAZING. The espresso was smooth and rich. The honey added just the right amount of subtle sweetness. 10/10 need to order again! *Matcha Cream Cheese Puff ~$2.80 - The texture was super airy and fluffy! The matcha flavor wasn't as strong as I wanted it to be. I expected a lot of cream cheese filling, but the inside of the puff was mostly hollow... with little filling :( It was still tasty regardless, just not what I expected. *Classic Milk Tea with boba ~$7 - I asked for no sugar and the barista nailed it! The drink had the right milk to tea ratio. I was able to taste the bold flavor of the black tea, which was balanced with the creaminess of the milk. My only complaint is that the boba was too soft/mushy... I couldn't chew them :/ *Bolo Bun $2.10 - A light, buttery flavor with very mild sweetness. The outer crust was slightly caramelized and toasted, while the inside of the bun was light and tender. *Coffee Croissant $3.75 - This probably would've tasted better if I warmed it up, but I still enjoyed it regardless. Bread was nice and soft with subtle hints of coffee in every bite. I am 10000% returning to try more pastries and drinks!

I noticed that Mavi's has installed wall mounted televisions, which scroll menu items, specials, and upcoming events. This was my first time ordering from their brunch menu and it was outstanding. My Western Omelette (ham, onion, mushroom, pepper, egg, potato, arugula, almond slices) was an excellent choice. Every ingredient was fresh, the eggs were fluffy, and it was accompanied by a side salad and two large slices of multigrain bread. The other items were the artistically presented Avocado Salad (Avocado, tomato, onion crisp, sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, arugula mixed salad, almond slices with balsamic glaze and sesame dressing) and the Toowoomba Shrimp Donkatsu (crispy, golden-fried cutlet smothered in a rich, creamy, and spicy Cajun Toowoomba sauce with shrimp, onions, and mushrooms, served alongside a half-portion of pasta). This dish is succulent, creamy, pleasantly spicy, and thoroughly enjoyed. I'll never dine at Mavi's without ordering a Kimchi Bulgogi Pizza (tomato sauce, mozzarella, onion, mushroom, bulgogi beef, kimchi, scallion, spicy mayo drizzle). Not only does every ingredient dance in your mouth, but the soft beet infused crust makes this one of the best pizzas I've happily savored.

I was excited to finally order dinner after hearing good things, but my husband and I were unfortunately disappointed with the experience. We ordered takeout for dinner: Toowoomba Shrimp Pasta with Tonkatsu and the Spicy Original Tteokbokki (rice cakes) with Fried Kim-ma-ri (fried seaweed rolls). The shrimp pasta had good flavor but the portion was way too tiny. After only three or four bites, it was gone. There were about 4 pieces of shrimp in the entire dish and they could've added more pasta, given that it's not an expensive ingredient. The tonkatsu was also underwhelming. It was a small piece served in a large container that made the portion size look even more skimpy. I was also disappointed in the tteokbokki. It was mostly sauce with no egg and only a few pieces of fish cake, again served in a container that was far too large for the amount of food provided. The kim-ma-ri pieces were fine but also very small. Overall, the meal was underwhelming. For a total cost of nearly $50, the quantities were just way too small. We were left feeling unsatisfied and still hungry.
