Cute place, meh food, bad coffee, and worse customer service. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Read other reviews that say the same. Ordered on the website, refused to give to my son picking up because he didn't have an app. Sent him in with my phone- I didn't use an app I used their website. Showed it to the lady who then gave us our order but said we need an app. I'm visiting from out of state, why would I get your app? Ham and cheese croissants were basic, good but not any better than elsewhere. They forgot a coffee on the order (when I called she told me I was wrong til she started reading my order and said oh it is two coffees) and said they couldn't refund because I needed an app. But we could come back for a third time to get the coffee. Coffee tastes like machine coffee (bad water? Bad shot pulled?), I've had better gas station coffee. I didn't even go back to pick up the forgotten coffee- it tasted that bad.

My fiancée surprised me with a cheesecake from this bakery and it was probably the best cheesecake I have ever had! It was light and fluffy! The decors on the cheesecake was delicious! The dulce de leche cream was not overly sweet which I loved. The macaroons were really good as well! 10/10 would recommend a cheesecake from this place! There was minor confusion and language barrier with my order, but we were able get everything sorted out and I left the store with my delicious cheesecake! When I walked into the store I thought the ambiance of the cafe was great!

This bakery has delicious cakes, and pastries, as well as, sandwiches for lunch. The bakery is very clean, and it is lovely inside. I've always experience good service, and have no complaints. I'd recommend ordering in advance if you are shopping for a specific cake, as they do run out at times. This location is close to my job, so it's an easy place to stop at after lunch, or on the way home.

Cute bakery in North Bergen! I was craving chocolate cake and was surprised to find one that has a nice seating area. They have pastries and cakes. I was looking for a more cakey cake but instead got a fudge cake that melts in the mouth. So I didn't get to satisfy myself with the chewing but this chocolate cake reminds me of the 'no chewing allowed' chocolate only sold during the winters in NYC.

Excited to check out another local latino bakery! Ambience is nice and location was superb - what could go wrong? I went in early morning during the week and ordered cafe con leche, a meat pastry, and wanted to try a guava & cheese pastry that many reviewers seem to mention. I was a bit puzzled by absence of any menu and prices, but oh well maybe that's just how they roll? I remember the other bakery pretty much across the street had a menu board. They charged me close to $8? I didn't think much and went to a table near the window with my cafe con leche. It was quite fragrant and light. When the pastries were toasted, a server brought the tray to me and I noticed there were two meat pastries. I told the girl behind the counter that took my order that I had only ordered one, and to my surprise, she didn't so much hesitate but just flat out say, "No you ordered two." Uh... excuse me? It was... a bit odd for her to say such a thing to an obviously new customer. (accentuated by the fact that i'm like the only Asian here) But it wasn't something to ruin my morning mood over so I just let that go saying it's alright. Meat pastry as server warned me was a bit sweet. Maybe a bit too doughy for my taste, and meat was... well... just there. Nothing too delicious. As for the guava & cheese pastry, I couldn't quite get why it's popular. Hmm... maybe it's because I'm just not too acquainted with latino bakery items. Towards the end of my coffee, I also noticed a distinct hardness in the taste... like boiled tap water. So then I realized that coffee wasn't too good of a quality, either, using prob unfiltered tap water and not enough coffee grinds. Overall, I loved the atmosphere and the idea but I was disappointed. While I wouldn't write them off just yet and will likely visit to try their other items, subpar customer service experience and foods mean I'd likely go to their competitor before I step foot here again.

What a cool local spot. This is the reason I love New Jersey. You can find spots like this and they pack a punch. The pastries taste fresh and are so good. The carne empanada was cold on the inside even after we asked for it hot. The guava pastry however more than made up for the empanada being cold. It was one of the better pastries I have had in a while and I have had a lot of pastries. Awesome local spot!

Overcooked burnt ham and cheese croissant sandwich. It was $4 .. I must vent on Yelp

3 Stars because I was disappointed. I've been here before and have eaten MANY HAM AND CHEESE CROISSANTS in my lifetime. The picture I am about to post DOES NOT SAY LAS CHICAS BAKERY to me, or atleast fit to par with what they are doing. When you toast a ham and cheese croissant, yes cheese lovingly drips from the side and when you lift the grill, you're able to carefully take it off and place it on a board cut in a diagonal for presentation and the plate it on a dish. I'm not a professional chef but consider myself to be a good cook and my dear, please do not try to fool me and tell me that your cheese melts so much to the point where it gets cooked leaving your croissant dry. I was being polite, bc I had to approach you in front of guests and mentioned that I felt it was overlooked and burned. I also asked if thats the way it was always, to which you replied yes. Please don't tell me that my cousin who is a CHEF was wrong about how amazing your croissants sandwiches were. Please see this image. Warning, image may be disturbing. I'm sorry Las Chicas. I'll give you lovely girls another try. Just be more aware.

Delicious bakery & nice staff I've been north bergen during 5 years, But I was first time this bakery yesterday. Nice greeting staffs make me happy. There were so many delicious bread, sandwiches, Cake and cookies. I bought fruit cheese cake ($25), and oat rasin cookie($2). Cake was so good and enough portion for 5 peoples. I will come back again. Pro - lots of options, good price

I have consistently ordered the Chaja Cake from here and it's delicious each & every time.

First time here. Was in the mood for empanadas and seen this place on the corner. Decided to give it a try. Hey, it's only empanadas right. Ordered the beef and chicken. Both had a fresh flaky crust with a quality meat filling. Both were good but I personally favored the chicken. Next time in the neighborhood I'll pick up some more and give their other products a try.

    Sweet treats

Happened upon Las Chicas while walking around N. Bergen... and all 8 of us loved what we got. Las Chicas has sweet and savory treats, beautiful cakes and lovely coffee options. The decor is cute, the restroom is clean and the staff is friendly. Could see us visiting regularly if we were locals.!

The last three times I've ordered. 1st time- I ordered on Uber eats, an egg and cheese sandwich and they sent it brick cold. I'm not sure why whoever was working would think to not warm up the sandwich. Made no sense. 2nd attempt- I ordered the same egg and cheese sandwich and it was drier than cardboard. I've been getting this sandwich for years. I'm not sure if they forgot to put butter on it but the sandwich is typically never dry. Not sure what happened there. 3rd attempt- At store. The new employees seemed frazzled and you need to repeat your order to them about 10 times because they keep forgetting what you just told them one minute ago. I love this place and I'm only giving this review so that it doesn't go downhill. There are a lot of new cafés opening up in the area and I would hate for them to be left in the dust. The owner made me a latte with a double shot, sweetened with maple syrup and that was one of the best lattes I have had in a long time (wish the cup was slightly larger) haha. I went in that day hoping to get the kimbap, but they only have that on Saturdays. What did I do? Head back on Saturday morning for two orders of kimbap. And guess what? It was my first time even having it, but I knew from photos I needed to have it and would really enjoy it. The first day I went, I had the croissant bulgogi sandwich that has bulgogi, eggs, arugula, chili spread and then it's pressed! It is very good! Paired with my perfect latte and I was for sure going back the next day! The next day, my latte (still the same order) was not the best, but I am aware that it is really in the hands of the barista haha! I got the bulgogi kimbap and the tuna kimbap and it was really good! The sauce that is paired with them was great. I liked the bulgogi kimbap much better, but I am glad I was able to try two different kinds as my first experience. I was feeling a bit under the weather and needed a good coffee to soothe me and give me some energy. My Latte w Lavender Syrup was so delicious and well made. The espresso was pulled well, it was creamy, and balanced overall. Luckily, we came on a Saturday and were able to try their Saturday special - Kimbap! We got the Bulgogi Kimbap which was made fresh with an assortment of traditional ingredients from vegetables to egg to carrots to pickled radish and more. It was served with their house-made soy sauce which was lighter and more fragrant, almost like a vinaigrette. It was savory, tangy, and grew on me with each bite. I usually have this with gochujang or a spicy mayo sauce but this was refreshing. All in all, great try! I will absolutely be back.

The interior features a chic aesthetic with heavy rose gold accents that give it a high end feel (women will love this place). While the atmosphere is great, seating is limited so you should be prepared to wait for a spot especially if you visit on the weekend. I usually expect these Instagram or TikTok viral cafes to be all style and no substance but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the brew. I have visited three times now and the espresso is consistently excellent. Whoever is pulling the shots knows exactly what they are doing because the coffee is never burnt and tastes incredible even when ordered black as an espresso or Americano. On this visit I tried the Pistachio Latte with reduced sweetness and it was delicious. The pistachio flavor tasted authentic rather than synthetic and it melded perfectly with the coffee. My sister absolutely loved the Rose Matcha, which is the same drink my fiancee enjoyed on a previous visit. Even my mom was glowing about her Cappuccino which is a rare treat since she is notoriously hard to please. For our meal we ordered the Caprese Chicken Crepe and the Chipotle Chicken Melt. The crepe was a hit with my mom and sister and the portion size was just right. The Chipotle sandwich had great flavor though it was definitely on the greasy side. You will want a stack of napkins ready if you order it but it was still a solid sandwich overall. On a previous visit, we tried the Tres Leches which unfortunately did not live up to the rest of the experience. It tasted bland a bit like a boxed cake and I was not a fan, I might try the Tiramisu on my next trip instead. Despite the dessert miss the staff here is super friendly and sweet. They never make you feel rushed and take the time to explain the menu options thoroughly. For iced drinks, I had the pistachio latte and tiramisu latte. I preferred the pistachio latte as the tiramisu latte had a lot of cold foam, which was tasty, but meant there was less of the latte. For hot drinks, I had a flat white, which wasn't the best one I've had but it was pretty good. For food, I tried the buffalo chicken crepe which was flavorful with a good amount of filling. I would try more of their food were I to visit again. The main reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because even by today's standards, I think the drinks are overpriced. The lattes are at least $8 and only come in one size that isn't especially large. The food seemed more reasonably prices from what I recall.
