So when I found a few obscure chips and goodies that I haven't seen in years, I went overboard. Then there were the toys for the grandkids, the knickknacks and a few clothing items we felt we needed. Couple that with the groceries and other household supplies we originally went there to buy and we might well be their new favourite customers. As you can imagine the staff are very welcoming and appreciative. They strike me as the type that always smile. What a wonderful thing. They do have a lot to smile about. A seemingly successful business, plenty of friends visiting, plus they provide a valuable service to the community. What we didn't buy this trip is on our list for next time! Our time in 100 mile House has ended. Thanks to Red Apple we have plenty of goods and foodstuffs for our venture to Whitehorse! 09/22

We also ran across a few very helpful individuals and one totally useless boob. It happens. Unfortunately, their meat department is screaming for help. The selections weren't there, some product was old and required rotation, but it just wasn't anywhere near where other meat producers are. They have good deals on certain items. Other than that, the prices are very high. Stick with the items on sale as much as possible. Maybe another grocer for your weekly staples. 09/22

You're much better off at 7-11/Petro Canada than here. I'm not blaming the attendant for the mishap with my credit card or my credit union. But he could've shown more empathy towards me and realized, the guy is from another country with limited cash on him. I'll bet he's worried. Even a sympathetic "Don't worry, it'll get straightened out." Would've been nice. Instead I got threats of him notifying police and blocking my car in it's place. He even wanted to confiscate my driver's license. Three things happened. Within 20 minutes of finding out my card was locked, my cousin Jerry showed up with $75 cash (and proceeded to verbally rip this fellow a new ass). Then my credit union called to inform me the lock on my card was lifted...charge your little heart out. Lastly, we walked out of Mr. Asshat's mart leaving roughly $50 of yummies on his counter for him to restock. Including frozen cokes. It doesn't matter to me what they charge for gas or the snacks because I have no respect for this place. I'm surprised we were actually allowed to use the bathroom, which by the way was a disgusting nightmare. Since we've already gassed up, we're headed toward the Red Apple to check out the snacks. Then taking Jerry to lunch! 09/22
