Pizza, there's so many different styles, flavor profiles, and honestly if done right it's the perfect all around food. Gateway is in a horrible spot, but their pizza is good with fresh ingredients and a decent value for the amount you receive. Spot on with ingredients, flavor, and presentation. The service as well was exceptional. They have a large menu of different options, from pizza to subs to nachos. You'll sure to find something to your liking here. And like most people have warned you if you come later in the day just be careful the crowd that hangs out in the parking lot is a bit worrisome. I wouldn't recommend going over there after dark. The area is sketch. The price was great, we got a large pep and a large combo with 2 ranches for $45. The toppings were fresh but I didn't care for the crust. Too doughy for me. However the other 5 people that shared the pizzas with me really liked it, so it's just a preference thing on me. This place is amazing and the owner always takes care of you. A bit pricey but it's a family owned restaurant so it helps them. There corn dogs are always sold out if you wanted something small and fast. The bonus is you can see them cooking your meal if you wanted to wait there while it was being cooked. Despite driving past this location, every workday, as long as they've been open, I've never ordered pizza from here. Only because it's in a part of town that's not the best. Not until my bougie friend had this pizza at her house, I realized what a mistake I've made. This is one of the best pizza's I've had. I preordered my pizza on line. Easy ordering system. I got an update email and text around the pickup time and then another when it was ready. I got it home and saw they did not skimp on toppings. Excellent sauce. Great crust: not too thick, not too thin. Large was a good size. I felt I got good value for my money. I also wanted to try the sandwiches so I got a small Italian sub. It was good but I will ask for more oil and vinegar the next time. The meat they used was very good quality. This is going to be my new pizza place. read more

Was driving back home from San Francisco, I had been in the road for 5 hours. This was the only place open and it had good ratings, we got there about 30 min to close and had a party of 6. The male (I think the owner) was absolutely amazing he welcomed us in to dine in and our food was out in no time. The pizza was AMAZING. It really did taste like New York pizza. For locals they even have an option to take and bake. It was kinda hot cause their AC wasn't working but since we were the only ones it didn't really bother us. I often bring friends and family here and recommend them for good sandwiches, today I came in for two sandwiches a BLT and a tuna sandwich (that for some reason came to 12.98?!) I get home and open my tuna sandwich that was sparse on the tuna. It was spread as thin as you would a ritz tuna sandwich. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and took a bite where it was most concentrated and was greeted with disappointment. My bread sandwich left me hungry and feeling robbed. Tuna sandwiches are the easiest and cheapest to make there is no excuse for this "sandwich" other than blatant disregard for customers. So these oddly enough are becoming hard to find. A great pizza joint that isn't scared to go a little crazy with the toppings. This is reminiscent to the old fashioned pizza pub I grew up with... thick crust crispy on the bottom yet still doughy on the inside. Terrific sauce that has a tomato taste but that of many other flavours and spices as well. Tons of cheese and then so many toppings. They have a good 20 combos and then there is of course the build your own. Also I remember of of my favourite things here was when I asked for an ingredient to be left of and another put on... the girl behind the counter didn't bat an eye she smiled said, "no problem" and carried on. Too many places look at you like you are a four headed duck if you want to change their standard. We have ordered about 8 pizzas from Gateway since January. Compared to Round Table, Pizza Hut and Mountain Mike's, Gateway has them licked! The toppings are generous, but not overly so. The sauce is tomatey and adequate. Lots of cheese, too! (that's important to me!) The dough/crust is tasty. It doesn't taste like cardboard! And their prices are much lower!!! I was comparing prices just before I called Gateway and here's what I got: Round Table- 2 Lg., one topping on each, 30.00 (an additional topping is 2.50) Gateway- 2 Lg. one topping on each, 24.00 (an additional topping is 2.00!!!) And they've had the pizzas ready when I've come for pick-up at dinner time! So, give this little Mom and Pop pizza joint a try! You won't be disappointed! read more

We were the only 2 women/customers in the shop and waited over 25 minutes for two cold sandwiches. While two men came in after us and ordered two sandwiches as well. They only waited 5 minutes max. The couple who runs the shop gave excuses and dirty looks when we asked why they had gotten they're order before ours.
