Being a girl from Ripon, I decided to try this place out tonight since I had to drive through Hilmar from Santa Barbara to get home. I was super stoked they had a salad bar, which I understand is all you can eat for $9.95, but my order was to-go, you'd think they'd give a bit of a discount knowing the customer won't have multiple salad bar trips. Unfortunately the lettuce at the salad bar was very picked over and only had the weird parts of a lettuce head in the bowl. I wanted to love the pizza. I didn't. My family and I been eating at Pizza Plus for many years now. The pizza is excellent their sandwiches are amazing, the price is right. Not only their food and customer service is great they really care about the community. We just had every 15 minutes at the High School the parents and kids were emotional, Pizza Plus had the entire group including the officers parents and students enjoy great pizza for lunch at no cost to anyone. Unfortunately, I would give this place a 5star review but the girl at the counter that took our order not sure if she's a shift lead or a manager ( sure did act like it based off how she interacted with other employees) I'm sure they feel the same way we do and they have to work with her...definitely needs customer service classes. Unless she just doesn't like her job maybe she should look for something that doesn't consist of customer interactions. First time trying this place and when she was taking our order she just kept staring at my husband and I like if we were annoying her when all I said nicely is if we can order 2 medium pizzas she just kept looking and was like what else with a blank stare like 3x.. she looked upset and when she gave us our number for our table she just slid it on the counter as she did the same with the receipt. Took all of me to be the bigger person and not say something to her in that moment. Poor customer service. Walked in and waited over 3 minutes before anyone acknowledged me. They all looked at me briefly, then ignored me as if they were waiting for another employee to say something. Wow this spot used to be the place to come and enjoy pizza with my family. We are 6 total 4 kiddos, my husband and I. Today we walked in and we felt very unwelcomed. Usually staff is cheerful to see us but this was a whole new staff and they didn't even welcome us or anything. We are actually usuals even though we don't live near by. I feel like it's time to look for a new pizza spot. I really enjoy Pizza Plus. My husband and I have probably had it about 10 times and we have no complaints. The pizza isn't too doughy which I really enjoy. It's not quite thin crust but it's on the thinner side. Also, they don't skimp on the cheese which I like. We always order pepperoni. My mom enjoys the wings a lot. They have two party rooms that can be reserved if you're having an event there. In addition to pizzas, they have incredible sandwiches. We hosted my one year old's birthday there and there was plenty of room and the food came out in perfect time. Their food is awesome... but not worth the attitude that comes along with it. I've given them about 5 chances and each and every time I've received an attitude from asking if they deliver and being cut off in the middle and saying NO, to telling them I found a coupon and being told "we don't have no coupons".
