Every question I asked she responded snarky as if she was above me and I was stupid for even asking. When I tried explaining that we have a very nervous dog her only response was, "Well you better bring someone who can manage him." Offered no help to try and solve the best way for him to be seen, such as meeting in parking lot. Just dismissed the entire thing and acted like my dog was not important enough to be seen because it he didn't fit in their "easy" category. Very disappointed that when we need our pets seen due to an unexpected situation this was how they response. Will not go back no matter how good the doctor is. First impressions speak volumes to me!!!!

With a family member sick every moment is traumatic, and unfortunately, Tuesday's difficulties were compounded by the insensitive treatment we received. Upon arrival the vet Tech's comment caught us off guard. When my husband explained that our indoor cats were overdue for vaccinations this year, she responded by saying it was "illegal" offering vaccinations services on the spot. I clarified our intentions to vaccinate in the future but not that day, which unfortunately set a negative tone for the rest of the visit and left us feeling judged. During the visit, the vet told us Sunshine's pulse was racing and said it was unusual, recommending an x-ray and ultrasound to rule out heart issues. When I explained that my baby was clearly scared, she disagreed, saying it couldn't be solely nerves causing the rapid pulse. This is quite concerning especially since she made the diagnosis without using a stethoscope. During our call today she said she did have one in the back. When pressed further she said I had one in my palm that you did not see and did it in the examination room. Which one is it??? Before each trip to the back, I requested to accompany Sunshine to keep her calm, Considering the vet had already noted her rapid heartbeat earlier. Unfortunately, I was denied and she had to endure the blood draw and treatment alone without any comfort from her family which will forever weigh heavy on my heart. I believe the underlying issue stemmed from the vet's apparent frustration with us seeking a second opinion from a family member who's also a vet tech. When I mentioned this concern, the vet in question claimed I couldn't hear her while I was on the phone. Which doesn't make since three other people in the were actively listening to her. ( My mother, husband, and son ) My main concern is that when I followed up on Friday after noon which was three days later per your instruction, to report Sunshine hadn't eaten. I asked if we could PLEASE bring her in immediately for further assistance. However, despite explaining our financial situation - having paid you $500.00 three days prior and offering to set up payment plan. You refused to help. Advising me to find another vet that took payment options or to secure credit. Not once did you offer to look at her chart and advise on the medicine you mentioned or to call it in to assist my sweet fur baby. On Saturday October 4th at 11:32 pm, Sunshine Arnold was euthanized due to her suffering. After reaching out to an emergency clinic in St. Peters, they advised us to bring her in immediately for examination, without charging any fee, they showed compassion and care for Sunshine prioritizing her well being above all else. Their actions demonstrate the kind of empathy and understanding that any fur baby owner and their loved one deserves. I am working hard not to beat myself up.. but I can't help but wonder what could have been if I had taken my sweet baby to a different facility that cared more about the patient than money. I also like the ability to schedule appointments online, but am never hesitant to call because their entire staff are so friendly.

I had taken all my pets to Harvester Plaza for many years... 3 lifelong companions were taken care…read moreof until the day that they passed away... My Cat Pookie was 14 when she passed, this hospital did surgery on her twice. My Pitbull/Lab Mix was cared for by this facility, she passed at age 14, My MaineCoon Cat Jasper had his first kitten visit, neutering and declaw here and he passed away also at 12 years old. All once had excellent care. I now have three pets that have been at this facility but the customer service is not the same. I spent over $650 for medical visits, shots and tests for my Recent kitten to prepare him for surgery. He had a slight heart murmur requiring CardioLet proBNP -Feline (2666) to make sure he was safe for surgery, I got all his shots and took him in prior to surgery for the bloodtests. I paid $184.49 and went in for our scheduled appointment and the staff member advised me that I would have to pay for Koneko's 2nd Feline Leukemia Booster to havr his surgery that day. Although they stated that he was ready for surgery that day. Then I noticed the estimate was not what was previously quoted to me at $357 low cost or high cost was $482 but she printed out what I owed and the charges were $569.50 low and $680.50 high cost. Which was considerably higher and I had already paid for the bloodwork. When I disputed the charges the office staff member got up and walked away from me, then when she came back I asked her to print out my medical records for Koneko and she only printed out a portion of them and told me that they would not do the surgery on Koneko because I was not happy with their service. She was rude and disrespectful and I asked to speak to a manager.and she did not assist me in that aspect either. This being extremely disrespectful considering the history of all my prior pets treatment and I had given an excellent review back in 2010 because the staff then was exceptional and they did not seem to be grabbing for money on each visit. Every appoinment was over $200 this year and that also included an appointment for my Cat Jasmine for $264 during Koneko's treatment. But to have me prepay for bloodwork for my cats neutering and then refuse to do the surgery because I disputed under the terms of my previous estimate is beyond unethical and unprofessional with respect to actually caring for the wellbeing of a pet and a longterm customer for all those years. This was so disturbing to think that they did this to me that I can never trust them again. I have a printout of my first estimate and these figures are far more expensive than what was written on my initial estimate and they were well aware of Koneko's very mild heart murmer at which I believe was the lowest of levels. He was in otherwise great heath and at the previous visit advised me that he was ready to be neutered. This was so wrong to do to me and my Pet because now I will probably have to pay for that bloodwork before surgery again. Disturbing to say the least!!!

They did offer additional tests and treatments. However for my cat the vet told me he felt the outcome would be the same. With my dog she described all we could do, and then added " you may not want to put him through all that to extend his life a few more months." All the staff is friendly, helpful and compassionate. I've since gotten a new kitten and she will definitely be getting her care at Harvester Animal clinic.

The Vet himself was just as sweet and gentle with my pet and I'm so grateful. She came home and fell asleep. There were also very bad storms today and they answered the phones extremely quickly when I called to make sure they were still open. I have nothing but good things to say! :)

So we didn't have to. We came in and they had a nice room for him with a couch, bed, chocolate kisses, so many treats and tissues. They walked us through the entire process and took good care of our baby so he wasn't scared. They let us stay with him as long as we wanted and the techs made us feel better that our baby was never alone even when we left. They mailed us a beautiful card and his paw prints. Forever a client.

I bought my dog in to the office from East Alton, MO for…read moreear infection and running eyes. I used to live in STL and used this office many times. Last visit my dog was treated and the bill was $156 which seemed reasonable with one exception the dog didn't get well. I called and told them the dogs eyes were still running could you write a script for more eye drops. I was told to bring the dog back in because maybe the diagnosis wasn't completely right. Asked if the office call would be free. She was shocked. She said they started with the least medicine to see if it worked. I didn't take my dog over there to be a science project I took him there to get him well, they failed but I'm supposed pay them more money. Have found a new vet that's understands the concept of getting the dog well 1st time out.
