I had been attempting to rent a tractor with a brush hog attachment from them for approximately one week. The first story that I got was that there was a problem with the tractor and that they would definitely have it fixed by Friday morning. I traveled to their rental location in Gainsville, FL, to finalize the deal on Friday morning, to learn a sister store had shipped them the tractor and had failed to send them the pins which hold the brush hog to the tractors hydraulic arms. They further stated the parts needed would not be obtainable till the following week because they were having to order them from the Kubota dealer. I got on my phone and within five minutes time I had found these unobtainable parts in Ocala, a 30-minute drive from the rental location. I proceeded to drive to Ocala and paid $40 for the pins and rushed them back to Neff rental because I had a crew of men coming from Daytona to work that day. I gave the pins to the manager who agreed to give me a 10% discount on the rental for fuel and the price of the parts. Ok this is great I am thinking; I call my guys and tell them to hurry up because the tractor will be delivered within the hour. Then comes the straw that broke the camels back. A rental clerk called me up about thirty minutes later to inform me he "kinda had bad news." He went on to explain that they had two left hydraulic lift arms and zero right lift arms. Needless to say I was left speechless. I told the clerk that I didn't know whether to be angry or laugh because I was in such awe and wonder of how any brick-and-mortar business could possibly stay in business with such disorganization and poor management. Needless to say, I WOULD NOT recommend Neff Equipment Rental to anyone!
