They should at least stop by to see what was going on. The manager avoided my calls and just relayed a message about a second charge , if he came out to my centrally located condo, again.

However, he never gave me an estimate even until today. I was told he is out on field whenever I called the office, which is more than four times. He never returned my call although I left message through Alex or Brittney. Also, I was told his manager Dan would call me but it never happened. I am not sure why they intentionally gave false statements whenever I called them. Moreover, I am not sure why they came to house and promised to give me an estimate in the first place. The Best Restoration doesn't keep its promises at all.

During this time, I learned that not everyone likes a do-it-yourself like me. Some even said I wanted, "free work." Not true! However, the current installed prices spoke to me. I grabbed my tools! Pulling a local permit as a home owner/builder in Florida, I installed a 2 ton (24k) ACIQ-24-HP32 condenser and ACIQ-24-AH32 air handler, and related mechanical. This system replaced a 26 year old 1.5 ton (18K) Trane XE-1000 condenser and TWGO18A air handler that was showing its age -- like me. One of my main hardware vendors, HVAC direct, patiently worked with me as I learned the new system requirements. With help from Isaiah Luke Appliance Repair to do the final commissioning of the system, the new ACIQ inverter system passed local inspection! The new system is a noticeably quieter and produces considerable heat split by comparison with the previous system. The fact that the ACIQ has a higher BTU rating, (24K) a higher seer rating (18), and yet uses smaller breakers, 30A down to 25A on the outside unit and 30 down to 15 amps for the inside unit and doesn't dim my lights when it runs, says it all. I was looking at a total replacement cost of almost $1400....and then I called Avetis..! Dmitri came out the next day and fixed the icemaker, then returned the following afternoon with a replacement part for the kegerator. Total cost for both $500 including parts.. Can't say enough good things about this company, they're fast, prompt and polite. Also give a 3 month warranty on work done!
