My water and sauces came at 3:20am My tacos came at 3:23am. They were pretty delicious. I realized now that I'm not the biggest fan of pastor. I ended up using my card to pay, and I paid about $3-4 more, in comparison to Mexican money. I wasn't tripping because this is minor compared to other negative encounters. I will note that my biggest recommendation if you're visiting Mexico from another country: GET LOCAL MONEY (pesos). Overall, it was a pleasant experience. I was glad it was open late so I could eat some food. I would return.

Highlights: -Three chicken tacos: Totally average tacos in my book. They do provide garnishes if onion and cilantro, which is nice. -Margarita Tequileria (or some similar name to that): There were probably 0.5 drops of tequila in there--it was mostly strawberry. You can tell by how much the drink separated. It was fine, but again, it was basically a strawberry slurpie with a splash of tequila. The place does have a nice ambience with the open-air seating and live music (if the band comes to your table and performs, note that you are expected to give a tip, like with any other band). The service was really fast. But I found a taco stand not far away and will be hitting that up tomorrow!

The best way I could explain it is a Mexican bibimbap. Each of the 3 types of meats were grilled perfectly, the special cheese was mild, but had a really great texture to it. The bits of cactus were cooked to perfection where they were soft, but with just the right amount of bite to it. I gobbled that dish up so quickly and considered asking if I could have another one. If I wasn't already stuffed I absolutely would have. It was probably the single best dish I had the entire week I was in Cancun. I've now made it my quest to find somewhere near me where I can get something even remotely comparable. I also appreciate that they had 'kid cocktails.' All 3 of my boys felt so adult sipping on their special mocktails. Our wait staff was a tad out of sorts, they would often say they were going to grab something for us (i.e. a high chair) and then completely dissapear. In the case of the high chair we just ended up finding one ourselves. But I think this issue stemmed from them just being so busy and slightly overstaffed. When they were with us, they were nothing short of fantastic. Honestly, if I ever return to Cancun, I will absolutely be returning here. It was that good. It makes getting the all inclusive package worthwhile. I will, however, avoid going on mariachi night.
