Antonio quickly greeted us at the door and helped get us checked in as new clients. He was incredibly pleasant and patient with us as we juggled the new surroundings with our daughter. The office is very modern and full of things for children to do while they wait. They even have a small theater for movies (so cute that they have star lighting in the ceiling in there). The area where we took our daughter to have her teeth checked/cleaned was well organized and ready with further entertainment/distraction while they patiently counted and inspected her teeth. Dr. Lynda was warm and inviting as she greeted us and our daughter. She even sang while doing her exam. After examining her teeth, she was able to explain things to us in a manner that we understood. From there, we were directed to Maria who discussed further treatment and was also very patient with us as we tried to entertain our 2 year old while having a conversation with her. So far, we have enjoyed our first experience with this practice and look forward to seeing them again.

If you have a special needs child that needs to be sedated, you're in luck. His policy is to prioritize those children only. If your child is 4 or over, the earliest he'll see your child is noon. And your child can't eat anything for 6 hours. He makes absolutely no exceptions and will refund your money back if you're as much of a pain in the butt as I must have been to try to insist that my 4 year old needed an earlier time. I can't comment on whether he does a good job or not. i was just frustrated by his unbending policy. Luckily, it forced me to shop around and find a dentist who uses a HOSPITAL instead which is much safer alternative, anyway.

The idea of sedation is always scary for me, especially since my son has had 2 major surgeries in the past. I really appreciated that Dr. Tran and Dr. Rishita both explained the difference between general anesthesia and IV sedation to me. That helped me ease my nerves a ton!!! After I discussed my son's medical history with Dr Tran, I was advised to have medical clearance from one of my son's specialists since there were potential medical concerns, everything ended up fine and we were cleared for treatment by the specialist. Which was great because that made me feel more comfortable with the idea of IV sedation too. On the day of treatment everything went beautifully! I am so grateful for all of the time and explanations of what I needed to do before and after treatment. I highly recommend Dr. Tran! Thank you so much for watching out for my little guy!!!

I stood there staring at them unimpressed and they just ignored me. I finally walked up to a clipboard on the other side of the counter and someone told me not to sign in there. I signed in the right clipboard and took a seat along with about 25 other people. The room was packed. When I got back to be prepped, I mentioned to the nurse doing my IV that I had small veins that collapse easy. She told me I shouldn't say that because it gave her anxiety. Like, wow. Ok. I'm pretty anxious already heading into surgery and not feeling welcomed as it is. Then my doctor never came to see me to discuss what he would be doing. The nurse said, did he talk to you? And I said no and she said, well he signed off on your paperwork. I had to literally tell them I wanted to see him. After the surgery, again my doctor did not come talk to me about how things went and when I asked the nurse what happened during the procedure she didn't know. I asked for the doctor then and she said he was already in his next surgery. I literally felt like cattle being moved in and out. I assume the surgery was successful so there's that. But otherwise, this was an AWFUL experience. Not warm, friendly, reassuring, or personal at all.

The anesthesiologist was very helpful and explained everything to me and helped to ease my anxiety about having surgery. Once my procedure was complete, the staff took care of me until I was discharged. I had a great experience and grateful for the wonderful staff here. Billing, well, that's health care in America lol. I was told I'd get an MRI - I went in the morning and didn't get it done until evening and I got my results told vaguely closer to midnight. I told them I was tired of waiting around but they insisted I needed immediate surgery. I was on the fence bc who goes from nothing to full blown surgery right away when you're conscious and otherwise fine right? I'm glad though, and grateful I received surgery. But the few days of admission was nothing short of terrible. One guy who takes blood in the morning was awful- he has no business doing it. I've never had anyone poke around that much and make it that excruciating before. And I'm pretty tolerant of pain. Some nurses were evasive. But please take note- NURSE DYLAN IS A GODSEND. He's very sweet. Very agile and helpful. That's the only part I liked about my stay there.

After incredibly long time waiting for uploaded documents, the timed session expired to complete the on-phone sign-in. I told the receptionist who then, somehow was able to access the form on her computer. She said she signed my name on the online form to complete it. Is that legal? When I eventually was seen, a man came into the room and introduced himself by his first name, only. Had no idea if he was a licenced doctor, nurse, or PA. I was feeling so ill by that time, I didn't care. Just wanted to leave. I had such a great experience at this place a year ago that I had bragged to others about it. The experience today will be the reason I won't use this location, again.

When he came out he said they thought he had the flu but they never ran a test. My Mom is a nurse so I called to see if that was normal and she confirmed that it was not and most health care facilities carry tests all year round. When I went to talk to the front desk to see why they didn't run the test the front desk staff started talking with the nurses making comments about his "age", belitting him for needing a advocate and quote how "mother dearest" wants to talk to the nurse. (Keep in mind he's already nuerodivergent and is running a 103 fever so advocating himself is extremely difficult). They explained they don't stock flu tests during the summer (which we would have just gone to the CVS if we knew they didnt have the resources to test) which is all we needed to know but I was appalled at the treatment, disrespect, and discrimination and will never be using a CareNow again.

But I am so grateful for and very happily surprised with the care I was provided during my telehealth appointment with Dr. Marsh, I felt I should share my experience with other people who may be in need of his services. I was expecting a 5 min intake call with quick certificate to follow, and being left with the responsibility/need to do my own research, make my own determinations, essentially play a guessing game with how to best address my symptoms. That was not the case at all. On his own time on his weekend, Dr. Marsh not only answered any and all questions I had, but he took the time to really listen to my current diagnoses, symptoms and concerns. He gave me medical insight not only on the type of products which would likely be of best benefit, but went a step further to provide me with additional information and resources to provide insight into my current conditions. Moreso, Dr. Marsh made sure I knew that I could reach out at any time again in the future with no additional charge, and even suggested we do another check in soon to see how I was progressing. He even referred to his patients as part of the family- out of the team of doctors I currently see for my condition (11 total, unfortunately), he is/was by far the most personable, attentive, and insightful. He clearly has a passion for helping people feel better and achieve a higher quality of life. I was not expecting that level of care, concern and professionalism! A huge thank you to Dr. Marsh; I highly recommend him!

Their Observation unit has a network PREVENTING patients from using their phone. OVerall, the hospital needs more adequate staffing levels on some floors. This is extremely problematic and life threatening. Some of their nurses, especially young nurses, have not had enough training in how to speak with the elderly in order to not upset them. And I perpetually see their nurses in some units engaged in discussions having nothing to do with the work at hand or their patients. I am very impressed with their hospitalists, who work very hard. I am most impressed with their infectious diseases physicians and nephrologists. The cafeteria SHOULD be open PAST 2PM, especially in deference to their doctors. This is ESSENTIAL, given surgeries are performed by many doctors there. For a doctor to have to BRING THEIR LUNCH, it is utterly rediculous. Reston Hospital FAR EXCEEDS Inova Loudoun in that regard. Inova Loudon's Physical therapists are FAST to recommend nursing homes, w/out realizing the patients are often on medicines tiring them and making it tough to do therapy at the precise moment a PT comes in. I found the whole PT scenario rediculous and usually a labeling activity to send the elderly or other challenged patients to nursing homes.
