I was looking for something close by to where I live - but the OrthoVirginia locations closest to me - did not have any appointment availability that week - so off to Ashburn, VA I went to visit the OrthoVirginia office in Ashburn. It's a pretty big office. The office is located in a commercial/retail complex that looks relatively new. I entered and check in. The waiting area is pretty darn big with a ton of seating and a coffee station and restrooms. I paid my Co-pay at check in. They do not currently offer any digital payment options such as Apple Pay. I politely asked if I could provide a suggestion - the lady at the counter said sure - I requested that they provide my feedback to the powers that be to offer a digital payment option. I visited with Dr. Lorenzetti. He's a nice, very energetic, enthusiastic Doctor. Dr Khan quickly diagnosed what I needed and I was sent to the extremely capable Allyce to put a tiny cast on my finger. Okay, I know they deal with bigger problems, but the care they gave me for my little problem is deeply appreciated. Staff could not be friendlier, and they are eager to assist. The billing lady, Christina, is non-responsive despite promises to call back in 48 hours "at her convenience". Apparently doing her job and replying to people isn't convenient for her, absolutely ridiculous. The tech guy who fits people in casts, crutches and slings is good. I had an MRI in 9/20 and all Dr. Moshirfar told me was I needed a fusion. He also said it was an…read moreall day surgery and 4-6 months of rehab. I was amazed as he sat in the chair waiting for me to say yes. He offered a brace $300-$500..which is unreasonable. Recently I went to another Orthopedic doctor, had many xrays on my back and low and behold, my major problem is a pinched nerve. No fusion needed at all. The new doctor believes that there are other non surgical procedures that can be done. Dr. Moshirfar is only interested in surgeries. He never mentioned anything to me about a pinched nerve. I have lost all faith in this doctor, I have been going on and off to him for years. Word out there is he only wants to see patients who want surgery, he passes patients over to the PA, useless as ever.
