The phone was displaying the ad on the Home Depot site on it. Even though I showed them that I used the keywords on the Reno Depot product to find the item online they said it was not the same. Plants are not name branded. It should also not take fifteen minutes to do this and they are wrong because it's the exact same plant. You can get them delivered to Home Depot special order, but you had them in stock so I was willing to get even with the cheaper pot. This was a waste of time, frustrating and unprofessional. If they need to use the customers phone when they have a computer in front of them then they need more training. There was no apology for the wait and my family was left waiting in the car the whole time.

I hired the Home Depot to install a new toilet in November 2023. The home depot sub contracts toilet installs to another company (Quick Contractors). They sent a guy with no experience to install the toilet. The installer installed the toilet incorrectly and on an angle. The toilet leaked and caused thousands of damage to the floor and ceiling below. I have been given the run around from Home Depot and Quick Contractors to repair the damage. These two big companies decided to pass off all responsibility to the installers private insurance who has been ignoring my emails and calls. I have informed both companies there has been no progress or resolution in site. The contractors private insurance has claimed they have not accepted fault for the damage yet, even though it has been made clear the installer was at fault. A 2nd installer was sent out from Quick Contractors to reinstall the toilet and report back on what caused the damage. The 2nd installer clearly stated the leak was from improper installation and took pictures. Attached are photos of the toilet installed on an angle and the water leaking out of the base soaking a drop cloth. If you think hiring a big company like Home Depot will have your back with any warranty issues think again. My house is supposed to be on the market for sale but will be delayed until the repairs are final.

My husband and I were doing some spring cleaning and had to get rid of some burned out light bulbs. This Rona location takes them. They have some boxes by the entrance for light bulbs (CFL and fluorescent tubes), batteries and leftover paints. Since you can't throw out these items with your regular garbage, it's handy to know where you can offload them. Since we were already there, we poked around a bit. Rona is the type of store that my husband and my dad like. Me, not so much, haha. Their prices are the same as Home Depot and Lowe's. The store wasn't too busy on a Saturday morning. It gets busier later in the day, especially in the Spring and Summer months. Lots of free parking available. (96)

I'm a fan since they are close to home. I'm a fan of their competitive pricing, and getting 5 free cuts at the shop next to the sheet goods. I'm a fan of their no-nonsense return policy. The staff is friendly and helpful, although some seem to be there in body, and not in spirit - that's actually a good thing, as I don't expect humans to behave as robots.

I noticed they must have had this seat sitting in the sun for the past 5 years. The entire material was a completely different color in relation to the middle that the emblem had covered/protected. It was also ripped on the sides... No problem, I'll jump back in my car (not even 45 minutes later) and return it with my time and money wasted... Now lets start the complaint. I go in, deal with one guy about the product and how I want to return it. All of a sudden some ignorant, disrespectful employee with the social skills of an Ape starts laughing. He thinks it's just hilarious. Needless to say, I got extremely ticked off, got my money back, and got out of this scumbag place. If you wish to get treated like garbage, I highly recommend you shop here! Something tells me if I had spoken in a different language then the one I'm currently using, I would have been treated differently.

I can't believe I've never reviewed Lee Valley Tools! This store is one of my husband's favourite…read morestores. It sells tools, gardening supplies, and gadgets for the house. They have a limited amount of inventory that they display in the store. The rest of their items are in their warehouse. You look through their catalog using their on-site computers and it will tell you if the item you want is on display (if that's the case, you just find it and get it and check out) or in their warehouse. If it's in their warehouse, you jot down the item number and bring it to the staff and they will get it for you from the warehouse. I am totally going to date myself by saying this, but the set up is a little bit like the now defunct Consumers Distributing. Does anyone remember that store? Lol. They were much more low tech back then of course, you'd have to look through an actual paper catalog to find the item number, lol. Staff here are always very pleasant. They genuinely seem like they enjoy being there. They are easy-going and have a calm demeanor. The vast majority of them are in their golden years and it appears to me like it's their post-retirement gig to get out of the house and make some extra money, lol. I could be wrong, but this is my perception. The prices are on the higher end, but I find the quality of their products are also high and they have unique items that are hard to find elsewhere. They have lots of free parking on-site in their private parking lot. If you love innovative gadgets or tools that are a bit nicer than the ones you'd find at your average hardware store, give Lee Valley a look-see.

I don't know how to find what I need, too much stuff. Too many huge aisles. This location, I always get a great parking spot in front as it's never busy. In late summer, I remember coming here also to grab corn and other fresh farm things from a stand in the lot. Handy. Yummy. The down side here is that there is no one asking if you need help and staff at the register are not that knowledgeable. It's also very expensive. Selection not great (even re light bulbs) BUT, they do have some unique things that I've only seen here. Some in housewares, would make great gifts. I grabbed the mug I took a pic of below as an example. Anyways, I've bought many an item here and I know I'll be back. Convenience gets it 3 stars.

This hardware store is much improved since it became a Home Hardware (it used to be a Rona…read morecorporate store before Lowe's bought them out). It's now brighter and cleaner, more inviting. And although I miss the kitchen set up display, I do love the addition of the giftware section! This shop has a small-town, personal feel, which the larger chains are lacking. It's still not a huge store, and the customer service section (round desk in the centre of the store) is still where it used to be. At least this store sells some lumber, and tiles. And there's an area / room for contractors to do their business, too. The biggest bonus to me is that it's still Canadian! Bravo! I will be back.
