Based on my experience, they just don't give a crap about their customers. They were months late in completing our awning. They were late last year in installing and removing our awning. They can't be bothered to proactively tell you when they are not going to keep an appointment. If you don't call and hound them, you would never know what the status is with anything. We were planning on looking for another company after this year's installation anyway, but they accelerated that decision. We were scheduled for the installers the first week of May. As expected, they did not show and did not bother to call us. I called them Monday May 11th and was told they were sorry, but they had no idea when they were going to be able to install the awning. They literally told me they will get to it when they can, but had no idea when that would be. I placed a call to Jersey Shore Awning (JSA) and they told me if I can get the awning from McBride out of storage, they would install it by the next week. JSA returned my phone call and email same day. They installed the awning as promised. I can't quite figure McBride out. They make a decent product and their installers are good, but they just don't have the customer in mind and not worth the aggravation. They act like they are doing you a favor and are pretty rude and condescending when you can actually get them to answer their phone.

The techs who came to install were friendly, professional and very neat. They showed me how to use the remote and gave me tips on when to close the awning in case of bad weather. We've had the awning for over a year now and it's a necessity all summer and a game changer for my dog who won't go out in the rain (the awning gives him the courage to venture out). The instal crew of 4 that installed the door did it wrong so they had to have TONY come and re-install the door!!! Since then it's been a comedy of incompetence and TONY has been back 10+ times!!! We had an unusual situation requiring some construction to add the awning. The staff at Giglio came out to make sure this would all work several times. Timothy came to our home twice and was instrumental in making installation changes that really made our awning function and look better for our needs. He pointed out things that we DIDN'T know...... he didn't have to ... this man is so honest, trustworthy, and..... super likable. After securing three quotes, I decided to go with Designing Windows Plus to replace our 25+ year…read moreold Sunsetter Awning. They were not the least expensive, but their quote was competitive. I chose them based on their responsiveness and reference checks. The salesman/owner David told me installation would be about a month from when we signed contract so when the month came and went, I called the office and spoke with Susan who explained that there was a delivery problem with the manufacturer and she could not tell me when delivery would occur but she said once they had the new awning, it would be installed within a week of receipt. I contacted Sunsetter and they confirmed that they were having a delivery problem but offered no remedy. I told them if we didnt have it installed by Memorial Day, we would like to cancel the order. The next day, Susan called to tell me the awning had shipped and they would be out to install the following week. The installers arrived on time and working safely to remove the old awning and install the replacement. After a few hours, they were done and they explained how to operate the new electric motor. They packed up and cleaned up the area as well as took the old awning with them. I would use them again.
