Other companies we called said they couldn't get to us for weeks and seemed to snub us for the small job - the manager/owner of B&B answered personally right away, treated us with great respect despite our small job (the key of any business!), followed through sending us a quote the next day exactly as they said. Came just days later (after a weekend in between) with super fresh sod, and installed it wonderfully - we didn't even need to be home. Only had to cut out a few holes in it ourselves to get our sprinklers through but they did a great job sizing it the rest of the way. Weeks later we've got the best looking grassy curb strip on the block. Only suggestion would be to have them include some kind of care instructions - we looked it up online somewhere else to make sure we watered it properly but would've been nice to have a little guidance there. Nothing that wouldn't make us refer friends to them or hire them again. Great service, easy and pleasant to work with.

The bid they gave for my bathroom looked like it took a long time itself. Had everything listed and broken down of what work was going to be down. Easy to understand and gives a good set of expectations of what they're going to be doing. The time frame was realistic. They didn't try to quote me some short time frame to get the job. They were honest and still beat their time frame (which was about 2 months to build a bathroom from start to finish). They definitely had some time off in that frame due to holidays. The whole way through the process they stayed pretty close to the original quote. If something was going to cost more for x, y, and z, they called to let me know and get my permission to go forward with it. If something costed less because of x y and z, they called and let know. The work they did looks great! Any of my issues really comes from my own work I put into it (which is another awesome thing about these guys) I did the painting, and some other little things. Jake showed me how much they would cost to have them do it and if there is any work you want to take for yourself, it is an option you can do! (Unless you know what you're doing, I recommend leaving it to the pros) My biggest regret is going with my own shower faucet set and vanity from Amazon. I should have gone with one that Jake suggested. If you want honest work and transparent communication while have a job well done, these are the people you should call. Literally for anything in your home. Simple repairs, renovation, they know what they're doing.

However, the last interactions I have had with this company are beyond explanation. 1. During our home build we discovered we overpaid Boulder Mountain approximately $300. I notified the company as soon I discovered the issue and they have not responded to our request for a refund. They have not even let us know they will look into it. They simply have ignored the email. At the end of 30 days we will be notifying DOPL, DCP, and taking legal action. To not respond to a customer concern is unprofessional. To keep money they did not earn is unethical and unjust enrichment. 2. Boulder Mountain gave me a bid in November 2020 to perform rock wall work for $3,400 with a commitment to start in the spring. April 2nd I contacted Don as he requested to get us on the schedule to perform the work. Don replies, "Ok. I'll be ready the first of may. Let [t]ouch base on a few weeks". May 4th I again reach out. Don replies and states prices have gone up. He comes out, remeasures, and says, "it won't be much more" to do the work. He sends a bid which is more than 2.75 times more than the agreed upon price: $7,759.10. I try to understand what just happened because he does not state he miscalculated, says rock rose 40%, fuel increased 75 cents, and rental equipment went up 20%. The math doesn't work out so I ask again. He then falsely states it is impossible to get the rental equipment. I reply that I called two locations and both had the equipment he needed and that we needed to talk. On the phone Don tells me he simply doesn't want to do the job. So, he made excuses, told me he couldn't get the equipment, jacked up the price, all in an effort to discourage me from using him. He also told me that he didn't like my job because it was too difficult to work in my back yard and he could make more money faster on easier jobs. He said that despite our agreement in Nov, and confirmations in April/May, that he would not be coming back. I remind him that we spent tens of thousands of dollars with his company and he mocked me. I then told him how disappointed I was that he would use these slimy tactics and his only response was that he was not proud of it. Don has preached to me for years that he is not the type of contractor that would breach a contract, leave someone in a bind by abandoning a project, price gouge, deceive, or be unethical in his work. In this latest experience he did all of these things including keeping money that did not belong to him nor earn. Where I once highly recommended Boulder Mountain Rock Walls, I no longer do so. This company is just another company looking to make a financial windfall during difficult economic times for people. I suggest you avoid. During our home build I dealt with many contractors who acted like this, who ultimately buried us financially, and frankly I'm sick of it. I expect businesses to be professional, ethical, and honest.

Scott and his team worked with precision, painstakingly placing rocks and hand chiseling them so they fit perfectly. They worked with caution around our home and cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day. He understood that this was a big decision. I was pleasantly surprised with the quote for the job as I had looked at others that were more expensive. It was well within my budget, and less expensive than I expected. They got the job done in a timely manner, and his employees were just as friendly, respectful, and professional as Joey is. We moved the boulders around some until I got the look I was looking for, and his guys did it with a smile on their face. They started this project in late 2022 around Oct/Nov so couldn't quite finish the entire project due to weather but did get the concrete and fence done with very quick turn around. Why do they keep sending out advertisements in the mail if they are only looking at new construction? They are only interested in homes that have 1000 feet to do. I feel this is misleading to the general public!
