Coach Daniel is so fun! It is NOT easy to capture the attention of 8 girls on a friday after a long week/day of school- i don't know how he does it but he does! They love him! My son (7 years old) has been enrolled at GB for the past 4 years beginning with the skills sessions. We have now transitioned to Coach & Play but overlap when time permits. As a football (soccer) coach for over 30 years I can say without a doubt the integrity and direction of the GB soccer program is bar none and first class. Step one should always be to create a safe learning environment. 5 STARS! Fun engagement. 5 STARS! Educated knowledge based approach and implementation to teaching fundamentals of the game. 5 STARS! A lot of kids burn out before they're even had a chance to enjoy the game. Building confidence is always key. In large groups (teams) I've noticed first hand from the sidelines the coaches care about each individual child. They make it a point to not only learn their names but acknowledge the nuanced behaviors/struggles of each personality. A one brush stroke approach never works with young children. I trust my son with the coaches. I get to enjoy his experience/development while keeping my dad support system hat on. It takes the pressure off my engagement with him and the sport we both love. I seriously cannot speak highly enough of GB Soccer School. We LOVE GB SOCCER SCHOOL. I first started with my now 8 year old in 2018 and now have a 3 year old in class too, they both adore their classes, the games they play. What really sets GB Soccer apart is their top notch coaches. Every one of them we have had (which has been many over the years) have been lively, engaging and truly passionate about what they do. It's clear that they genuinely care about the kiddos, improving their skills and knowledge on the game by playing games they find fun. The kids don't even realize what skills for soccer they are actually gaining from the games/drills as they are just thoroughly enjoying themselves. We stepped out one year to try AYSO which we were severely disappointed by. Then GB Soccer started their Coach and Play sessions which is a similar idea of a practice and then a play each week and we came running back. My daughter immediately improved and learned so much about the rules of the game....where players' positions are and where they're allowed to travel, who throws the ball in etc. That class was a game changer. I feel it would be a good stepping stone to a league. I have always been lucky enough to have pre school friends (for both kids) who jumped on board when suggesting a private group class which my 3 year old now gets to experience. I feel this gives them confidence in the class by being surrounded by friends and just an extra bit of joy playing the fun games with buddies plus it's with parents you know. On the flip side to that I also see how GB fosters friendships and teamwork among the kids even from a young age, they are taught to shake hands after a 'one v one' and have good sportsmanship with each other. I firmly believe that the lessons they learn in group sports such as soccer are vital skills for life. Whether it's teamwork, communication, or perseverance, these are skills that will serve them well in any endeavor they pursue and I truly see these lessons bought to these classes from GB coaches. Both our daughters attend the GB Soccer School with Coach Seth. The focus is on learning the game right with great skills training, but most important, while having fun! The competition is not stressed, just the effort. The kids are always encouraged to shake hands after any competition. Practices are comprised of short drills and skills learning so that the kids interest and attention are kept on target, and mixed into the learning a great sense of humor and fun from the Coach. We had to call 3x, leave voice messages, follow up with multiple emails before we even got a response. Once we finally did, the women answering the emails wasn't providing a lot of info and I had to go back and forth with her quite a bit. It was like pulling teeth, only to be told they aren't doing classes and that we'd need to form our own pod. It seems they weren't interested in any new business so we ended up going with Soccer Routes, who were responsive, professional, and helpful. read more

GB Soccer school is the best!! My son started going to their weekly Saturday morning class when he was just 20 months old. He is about to be 4 years old and still attends the Saturday class along with 5 other boys he first started with. That is a testament to how amazing their soccer program is. The teachers are amazing and they know how to be silly and make it fun for the kids. They also teach kids amazing skills, like listening, team work and patience. Coach Sam was his first coach and he is incredible. The nicest guy and he will fully commit to help a child feel great about themselves. I remember Sam being goalie and diving into the ground as my son scored a goal. GB Soccer mini camps are also phenomenal!! I had the pleasure of setting up a private soccer camp when my son had his summer break from preschool. Tobiah is AMAZING to work with. She was very accommodating and patient with me as it took a few weeks to get enough kids enrolled. The kids had the best time at their camp. It is such a positive and fun environment. We decided to put together our own team of little players and it's been such a great experience. The coaches are wonderful and really know what they are doing. I wasn't sure what to expect from a beginning soccer practice but they have great age appropriate drills and exercises for them to develop coordination and foot control. GB Soccer School is the BEST. Our daughter began with them in 2019 just shy of two years old. She loved it then, loves it now. We've had the good fortune of being able to create a class for her pod and the kids absolutely love it. They are learning soccer skills, they do drills, but there is also a hearty focus on sportsmanship and cheering friends on when waiting for a turn. The entire pod talks about Coach Jake while waiting for the next Tuesday to arrive! It's so sweet. **Additional note: they've been very good about Covid protocols. He just turned 9 this past fall and is still going to his weekly league. No matter what their age, your kid will HAVE FUN. The Coaches are especially kind and patient with the little ones. The youngest players enjoy age-appropriate activities like obstacle courses, races, kicking over cones to find "treasure", along with learning them the beginnings of soccer, ball handling, etc. As the kids get older, they begin to focus more not just on soccer skills, but the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship. The time at weekly league is split between practicing techniques like passing and shooting and full-on head-to-head games. What's really great about GB Soccer School is that it is its own self-contained league. So while the kids do get into some great head-to-head games with healthy competition, there's no crazy pressure to win against another team. The focus is always on helping each kid become a better player. The Coaches take time to help EVERY kid develop their own unique strengths and abilities on the field. Aside from the exercise, friendship and enjoyment of the game, what's been really fantastic to see is the confidence and pride that's bloomed in my son: He's had the experience of putting in the time and effort to get good at something, be recognized for his achievement...and he's had a blast while doing it. Our 4 year old son did the one week camp and he enjoyed it! Our son gets really really nervous about being around people so we thought this would be a great way to help build his confidence. What an amazing blessing it was to find Coach Seth and the rest of the staff at GB Soccer School. I could not have a higher recommendation for this place -- 20 billion stars!!! Prior to our experience with GB, my son while pretty athletic, refused to play any team sport. He was terrified that he might make a mistake. Coach Seth met him right where he needed to be met-- he saw him, challenged him, and just provided a lot of silliness and fun. After doing Friday lessons with Coach Seth for the school year, my son, a self-proclaimed "non-camp kid" insisted that he do 3 weeks of summer soccer with Coach Seth, Coach Freddy, and Coach Arvie. The camp was AMAZING! My son's skill level increased dramatically but more importantly he felt more and more confident and just LOVED being there. He found his niche playing defense and even earned the nickname the "Human Wall." The GB guys are just fantastic with kids -- no nonsense and serious about teaching them to work together while and the same time being kind, fun and goofy. The kids quickly take to the structure provided and learn to really focus on working as a team. I loved Coach's words on wining and losing "sometimes you win and sometimes you lose, who cares -- let's play and have fun." We are very happy with GB Soccer School! The coaches, both Jasper & Jake have a fantastic energy, great attitude with the kids while maintaining a strong focus on soccer fundamentals. The instructors really know how to motivate the kids and improve all aspects of their play. This is a class for kids who want to actually LEARN soccer skills.
