People don't do much reviews on parks. Why? I don't know. I have been to this park 4 times in the past. I truly like this park very much. It's close to home and offers a lot of activities to do. It has children's playground equipment, 2 basketball courts, 4 BIG, tennis courts, a dirt track, clean bathrooms, picnic area, nice spacious landscape and the most important, it's kept nice and clean. This park is one of my favorite parks in Studio City. They have recreation areas and can let you sign up for sports/classes that interests you. Recently, I had taken few classes with couple of their teachers/coaches and they are WONDERFUL! Earlier this morning I went to play tennis with one of my friends. Tennis is one of my favorite sports to watch and to play. We don't keep score. We just like to play and have fun. You can walk, jug, people walk their dogs, kids, they have picnic areas and do a lot of kids birthday parties.. or you can just simply sit in silence and enjoy nature, the sunlight and have a good, peaceful time. Private lot parking, or street nearby parking. They are closed on Sundays. Kind of weird, but it's their rules, not mine. That's when people usually spend time with their families. I am not going to dock a star for that since it meets all the other amenities & requirements. read more

Quaint- Tennis courts, baseball area, and lots of space for a neighborhood park. Construction impedes the walking path so as of September 2024 it isn't very relaxing. I'm hoping to find a public track & field type of walk/run path in the valley! The sand is nice on my knees but annoying when ends up in my shoes! read more

One of our favorite parks to take our two young kids (2 and 1 years old). The playground is very nice, there's a large sand pit, and there's tons of shade because of large trees. The "vibe" of the park is also really nice -- it's a lot of friendly younger families who are welcoming and pleasant to be around. We went to a fourth birthday party at the Studio City Recreation Center last month. It was a great venue, relaxed and pleasant, with plenty of space for a bunch of pre-school kids to run around. In fact, it was so much fun that there ended up being a kind of afterparty, with many of the families moving from the picnic benches to the playground for some extra play time. Parking was easy on a Saturday afternoon. We got a spot within throwing distance of the party, which took place across several benches, as well as an open area the birthday girl's family set up with a bounce house and other fun play equipment. There was another kid birthday happening nearby, and I'll bet the park could have accommodated a few more without feeling overly busy. The playground was excellent, with a sand pit and a nice big play structure built for small children. My son made his way around the whole area, and I particularly enjoyed watching him ride the see-saw with his little friends. If we lived in Studio City, we'd be at this recreation center every weekend. It's a lovely park, and I imagine we'll be back before long. We're always grateful for new places to tire out the kids. read more

I'm always on the look out for shaded playgrounds and this little neighborhood park definitely makes my list. The main attraction for me are the large trees that provide a great amount of shade over the swing set and both large sand play areas! A lot of people bring their own sand toys and shovels and caregivers can be seen sitting along the edge. I sometimes see a variety of kids wanting to share toys so make sure to label yours or it'll be tough to find them later. There's a play structure recommended for 2-5 year olds and a separate one for 5-12 year olds but my toddler likes to hang out on both but gets bored with them quickly. There's also a see saw and one of those rides that looks like a spinning bowl. Why are those things always the temperature of the sun!? I've been here on weekdays when it's pretty empty and others when it's extremely busy. Everyone seems very friendly, though! read more

This place is our second home. Ample shade. Clean bathrooms. Huge lawn for dogs and sports. My daughter loves the sandbox and chasing other children around on the rubber tar ground. It's very safe - gated and has a very aesthetically pleasing jungle gym. Cute track for those who love exercise. Highly recommend! read more

A very nice facility and park. It is a safe place to bring your kids and features a nice playground, clean restrooms, additionally there is a well supervised fenced area for pre-school children. Nice tennis courts, softball fields and an activity center with programs. Lots of areas to walk pets, picnick tables, plenty of lawn space to run, play and walk. The neighborhood is friendly quite and lovely. There is a lovely L. A. Library one block away. Pick up a book, sit in the park and relax. read more

I have a very little budget for "fun". My budget? Free. Okay I'm exaggerating but I do seek out free leisure activities. However, I also always look for the "catch" when you tell me something is free. This is LA. There is always a catch! I was welcomed by a small but ornate playground for the kiddos (in a sand lot versus mulch for boo boos), terrifically maintained tennis courts, baseball fields, basketball courts (one with a regulation size hoop and one smaller for kids), a picnic area with little grills, a path for bikes or walking, soccer field, 2 outdoor exercise machines and gymnastic rings and bars (think: mini-version of Venice Beach), and a building for indoor summer camp activities. So, how do you think I reacted when I went to the Studio City Rec Center/park? WHAT'S THE CATCH?! But there is no catch! Yes, some of the activities like day camp for the kids ($70/day) or sports leagues cost money but otherwise all these goodies are free for the public. You simply can't use the courts when they are reserved but otherwise, they are up for grabs. The best part? Just cause it is free, doesn't mean it is in shabby shape. In fact, this park is better maintained than some country clubs out there. It's like a YMCA for the neighborhood! Studio City Rec Center has no catch (unless you count the sports fields) and will satisfy your your park needs. You can work out while your kids play on the playground, the male counterpart can play a game of basketball or baseball and then use the grill for lunch. This is a place which will fit anyone's budget. read more

3-3.5 stars. This is actually a pretty cool park. I come here to play basketball semi-regularly and almost always seem to have a great time. With a big grass field, tennis courts, and a large track, there is a decent amount to see and do here. Because the basketball court is only a half, it does get busy, unfortunately. If looking for a chill spot to practice your shot, or play a friend one-on-one, this may not be your place. They have another half court parallel to it, but it's a short rim roughly 7 feet tall. You really have to get here early on a weekend (around 9-10am) if you want a peaceful session. If coming after work around 7pm on week days, expect a 1 game line/wait for a half-court pick up game. All in all, it's a fairly nice park that is worth checking out if you're in the area. While it does get quite busy, the hoop itself is nice, and I do enjoy playing here. Competition is usually pretty friendly, and has more of a recreational vibe to it than a competitive one. Go ahead and give it a try! read more

This is a hidden gem. I've lived in the area for over 5 years and had no clue this park was even here, since its not on a major street like most parks. The park has the following amenities: auditorium, barbecue pits, baseball diamond (lighted), basketball courts (lighted/outdoor), childrens play area, picnic tables, tennis courts (unlighted), and running track. They also have many community programs (sports, education, fun, arts) for children and adults. Plenty of street parking all around. I come here for my outdoor exercising. read more

I love this park! It's a great place for running or pick up sports. The lights stay on until 10 p.m., and there are generally a number of families at the park and couples walking their dogs. This park has playground equipment for the kids, two basketball courts, four tennis courts, a baseball diamond, a dirt track, and newly installed plastic weight-lifting machines....that actually work! Their aren't a TON of varieties of these machines, but the few there are really do work (somehow using your body weight to lift, I think). There is also a kick back wall on the perimeter of one of the basketball courts. The park's not that big, but it's a good location with super easy parking, and somehow it manages to cram a bunch of things into one well-lit area. Anyways, there is a group that gathers on Monday nights for pickup soccer - last week there were about 30 people playing and the organizers just ask that you bring $5 a month to contribute to the cost of the nets. read more

Very nice, clean park and recently redone playground. I've been going to Beeman for almost 4 years since my first baby was born. Then, I just walked with him the track and would lay with a blanket under the large shady trees. Soon he was able to use the playground equipment which was nice because of the small sized slides as well as a larger setup. Now, it's setup as a sort of treehouse/pirate design. With less sand and more recycled rubber floor under the equipment. There are more swings for all size kids. They've also added a small merry go round and see saw. Both of my kids like playing in the sand station setup they have. It's great for toddlers. I have to say I was surprised when they updated the playground as it was really nice before. It's great now too, just different. There's also a recreation center directly across form the playground as well as basketball courts, tennis courts, and exercise equipment spaced all around the track. There's a medium sized field and baseball diamond and plenty of picnic tables throughout the park. One of my favorite things about this park is that it's tucked away in a neighborhood and away from the heavy traffic of main streets. There are speed bumps on all surrounding streets which adds to the overall safety factor. read more

There needs to be someone enforcing rules on these courts, especially now during a pandemic. There is a group of 20 people who rotate on the same court if not 2 courts every week, no social distancing and sitting on other peoples courts to take them over. They've been getting away with this for a while (I heard) and I'm shocked no one has reported them. These people have zero tennis etiquette and walk on your court while you are playing walking inches away from you. These entitled people are going to ruin it for everybody bc we are lucky courts are even open right now w/COVID-19. AND PLEASE do something about the endless coaching tying up courts all day, every day. There are court rules for a reason. All of these coaches are making $ on this property. These are supposed to be public courts, not private. Please send someone to enforce Tennis Rules. Eventually LAPD will be called bc now they are potentially harming people with their ignorance. read more

This is a great park for anyone. They have a track for running, exercise equipment, tennis courts, volleyball, picnic tables and baseball/soccer fields. I'm only giving four stars because I really wish they would designate a portion of the park as a fenced in dog park. There are a lot of dog owners in the area, including me, and a place to let them play off-leash would be brilliant. read more

Ah. The smell of mowed grass. The sound of a baseball being hit. Beeman Park is one of those small parks nestled in a closely knit neighborhood. You can find a multitude of activities happening here nearly every hour of the day! I dog sit from time to time and this is my go-to spot for walking Charles The Dog. He is a golden retriever and loves to eat anything off the ground. So, I combat this with running. He loves to run and so when he is going at a fast pace - he has less of a chance to grab something that might not be so good for him. Overall, if you're in the neighborhood - I would very much recommend coming. On the weekends they have some adult teams playing either soccer or baseball. So, put your jogging shoes on and do a couple laps. It's a wonderful day out there! read more

Here's a great park that is clean and kept! Yesterday was our third time going there and it was just great. Kids love it there as it has so many different things to offer. There are no lights for the tennis courts, which sucks because you can't play beyond, like, 5:30 since everyone I know whose any good at tennis are old and old people are cautious, so they want to play, but 2:30 is the latest we can meet since it'll be cutting it too close. AHAHAHA. That concept is so ridiculous. It's like, you're already going to die soon so why not get a lil risky with it(?). So, it has a bball court and a bathroom which is highly accessible, clean and close to the courts. It it always sunny in Philadelphia... here. Not geographically in Pennsylvania. In Studio City, CA. Just got kicked off a court by a older guy (red shirt) teaching a kid lessons/which isn't allowed/ he has mangy dog which isn't allowed at courts / we were there for only 45 mins and the guys who were there obviously before us said nothing about going since they were there the longest.out of the four courts. Our first time not so good just because of someone who can't read the rules posted in plain sight other wise fun. read more

I love Beeman Park. First, there is a little parking lot in the back, and also plenty of residential street parking. The running track is really well kept, and short. Lots of shady trees around. The day I went, there were lots of families, and a kids sporting game going on. They also have tennis courts. Its a very nice park if you are looking for a place to go walking around the track. read more

Not too shabby!!! Although I'm used to the beautifully green parks in Utah, I felt very safe here since there are many family-oriented activities going on. Very family friendly and there were a lot of kids around doing after school sports.Would love to run around the track with a dog... My son joined the soccer and baseball leagues here and had the time of his life. Staff is friendly, welcoming and keeps it full of activities year-round. This is a great place to bring your kid with a great playground and plenty of other things to do. Parking is usually available and when it's not in the immediate vicinity, it's only a short walk. read more

One of my go-to parks while in the Valley. This park is full of recreational goodies; tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball, small workout machineries, etc. I'm usually here with my two fur babies or using the tennis court. It can be a bit busy in the late afternoon during the week for game days but overall, great place if you want to do laps (walk/run), play a game of tennis or basketball or just lounge around the surrounding benches in the sun. read more

This park is clean, well maintained, social distance, majority wearing their masks, and friendly people. We met the maintenance person Bobby today and thanked him for the well maintained park. It was so nice to see a maintenance person hands-on at a park. Plus a bonus to have a go to person and hope he's here to stay. read more

Pro: They run lots of good sports leagues for kids in the community (and it looks like other programs). Cons: They need to cordon off sections of the field and plant seed once in a while. It's a dust bowl. The people that organize the sports leagues are nice enough but they are as disorganized and unresponsive as anyone I've ever dealt. It is extremely frustrating. read more
