I'm new to the area & was in the market for a primary physician. Dr. Hamilton was booked out through March and I made my appointment in January. Of course when I arrived to my appointment she is the only doctor that is behind so I wait a hour even though the waiting room was empty. By the time she does make it to my room she's talking about needing coffee so her head is already not in the game. I explain I've been suffering terribly with my sinus and she says oh so talking a Claritin will clear that up.... come to find out I head a severe sinus infection. So I had to diagnose myself... go figure! I would suggest you continue to search until you find a primary physician you can trust with your care. I will not return to this doctor. This review is broken into two pieces, one for physicians and other for facility & "other staff" as listed. First physician 4.5/5-can't give a 5/5 due to inability to reach the physician when dealing with an elderly person who doesn't have the patience for "the portal via internet and wait for response ". The turn over of physicians seems high and they're overbooked. I will say Dr. Gallo is a great listener, takes time with patient and is very friendly-5/5 for her. Others do your research on before picking this as your primary location. As for facility overall the location is easy to get to just off 695/Joppa rd. That's where the good ends. There's maybe 4 handicap parking spots in front of the door but a hill for elderly to get up to reach the location or walk down the parking lot and then use ramp & doors aren't handicap accessible at all. Now in office the new check in is supposed to be easy with a new kiosk ! Haha doesn't work & office staff did NOTHING to offer assistance. After 5 min we went to the front desk pictured & both of the front desk staff ignored us, one had her head in her hands and after being asked if check in could be done with her she sluggishly took 1 hand and checked patient in for appt. the chairs need updating (look like they were picked up at bargain yardsale)& not clean. Overcrowded. The lab tech was nice and its convenient to get labs done there. Exam room was 2.5/5 clean and needs updating. Had 2 chairs for patients, exam table and seat for Dr with desk. Not decorated with nice decor or colors-Barr bones! Unfortunately this location is where some people must go due to insurance company/Medicare insurance. Overall I give Dr Gallo 5/5 for treatment but 3/5 for reachability (which could be front staff issues). She's a great doctor & very professional! The rest of the place gets 2/5 & I'm being generous!! I truly hope by the next visit this place is up to par and in compliance with regs for handicap friendly service. read more

Awful. I have been with GBMC Physicians Joppa Road for 18 years. The PA I had been seeing (which was initially because she had faster appointments than the actual physicians) and she is now leaving the practice. I was told when I called for an appt., that since the Nurse Practitioner is leaving, I have to go on a waiting list to get a new doctor as the other existing physicians "are not accepting new patients." I am not a new patient of the practice, unless these doctors started their own individual practices within the group. This is NOT a result of COVID. Getting appoints with this office is like pulling teeth. In the past before COVID.. I would get a sick appt 3 days out and would have to email my NP to set sooner. Why must we go through this? Its all about the $$$$$$. They have too many patients/not enough doctors.. so when existing patients need to see their healthcare professional, they can't get in. But yet, they are raking in the bucks! Medical practices have become a scam and a business, not about your well being. If you want a wellness visit, for blood work etc., it is four months out for an appt.. well, thats if your doctor doesn't change practices. .then you are put on reset.. and considered a "new patient" even after almost 20 years. read more

My experience on 4/20/2023 was one of the worst I've ever had with Dr. Elizabeth Hamilton. Appointment was scheduled for 12PM, so I arrived at 11:50AM. Completed check-in via my chart app to avoid having to fill out paperwork. At 12PM a man walks in with a box of food and a few minutes later a second man comes in and states he's with the first guy. 12:05PM I'm taken in the back to complete vitals and such, finished by 12:15PM. I sat in the room waiting to be seen by Dr. Hamilton. At approximately 12:20PM I hear her escorting a patient to the front office. Still sitting in the room, the lights went out (motion light). So I wave my hand to make the lights turn back on. Around 12:40PM I exit the room and proceed towards the front desk, only to find Dr. Hamilton standing in the doorway laughing and chatting it up with the two men. Made my way to the front desk and alerted the team I had been waiting in the back since 12:15PM. I was escorted back towards the room and met in the hallway by Shannon Littleton (Practice Manager). Shannon was very apologetic and stated she would escalate the issue to Dr. Hamilton's manager. Shortly thereafter, the two men came out of the room, along with Dr. Hamilton and I informed them I was a patient waiting to be seen by Dr. Hamilton. They responded, "we apologize, would you like some lunch?" In response, I stated no thank you, I'd like to be seen by Dr. Hamilton and get back to work (as I too was on the clock). After that exchange, Dr. Hamilton made her way to the room and stated, "I know you're mad Zerona but we can get this done". I stated, no I'd like to get my time back but that's impossible. We go through the process of addressing my concerns and I prepare to leave. I stated again, I wish I could get my time back. I was on the clock for work and needed to be in a meeting shortly. Dr. Hamilton's response, "oh well, that's a day in the doctor's office". Completely unacceptable. This was eye opening, shocking, and disheartening because I knew right then, I was on the quest to find another primary care physician. We all have bad days, but as a physician, it appeared she lacked the ability to apologize, respect, empathy, and compassion that day. I will not return to that practice to see any physician based on Dr. Hamilton's behavior. Do yourself a favor and move on to the next doctor on your list. Dr. Elizabeth Hamilton is not the one for those of us that value our time. read more

I have been a patient at this facility for years. The front desk staff and medical assistants are always very attentive and friendly. My provider is wonderful, she takes the time to listen and does a thorough exam. I always book my follow up appointments at the end of my visit because the Doctors do get busy. However, when I am sick can get an appointment within 24 hours. The office and exam rooms are always clean and tidy. read more

ZERO STARS. How on Earth are you a general practitioner's office and you can't schedule sick visits for anything shorter than a 3 month wait period? Dr Gallo... Dr Hamilton... I'm sure you're great doctors, but no way am I waiting around to find out. GONE. read more

The office staff as well as my Dr, are awesome. I started visiting that location pre pandemic and they had short wait times, The nurse practitioner was awesome, she did a great job of making me understand my journey after my surgery. I have visited during the Pandemic they did an excellent job of wiping things down and follow the guidelines for social distance. read more

I had a wonderful experience with them. Considering that they were delivering bad news that my ankle / foot sprain is worse than I originally thought, that is saying a lot. There is a doctor there who is very knowledgeable about sports medicine injuries ( even though mine isn't sports related - it is a sprain) and knew what to tell me. I'm glad he was there or I would have had go for a MRI that he said I didn't really need. I'm glad that the assistant, who was very nice, was able to call on him. It's valuable to be able to consult with doctors that have different knowledge. read more

The Drs are very good, but the front desk has no compassion and no personality. Over the last year I have contacted them on 3 different occasions for problems. On hold for 10-15 minutes, they take a massage like it's a chore. No one gets back to you, you call back, they take another msg. after being on hold. They are not pleasant at all, no apologies for no one getting back to you. I hate dealing with them. JLL read more
