I hired Guillen (GC) Plumbing to do a shower remodel on a rental house I own. They communicated extremely well, and answered all of my questions while in the quote-gathering phase. I was initially hesitant because they wer one of the most affordable quotes we received, so I wanted to make sure nothing was being missed. Once we decided to move forward, they were able to start work the next day, and took a 50% deposit upfront in order to start the work. The full shower remodel was complete in 2.5 days. And as an landlord, they provided everything I could have asked for in terms of communication during the process. I asked for bids to raise the water level in the bowl they came out and told me they would have to replace the hardware in the tank, this was for two toilets and gave me a estimate, I accepted it and they did change the hardware, what they did not tell me is that the hardware in the tank has nothing at all to do with the toilet bowl level, I paid quite a bit for absolutely no reason at all, it clearly states in my project scope that I wanted to change the bowl level. read more

I needed a water heater repaired. They showed up, turned it back on after the unit shut down for exceeding a safety limit. Didn't find out why it shut down and tried to charge me $250 for showing up and flipping a switch. The real problem is the guy didn't take the payment. Then I get an invoice with no information on how to pay the bill and then started getting harassing phone calls and texts. It took me four times asking how to pay the bill before he finally gave me a simple answer. The whole time calling me a charity case even though I had been asking for hours HOW to pay the stupid bill. This was quite literally the worst experience I have ever had getting a repair done at any of the houses I have owned. Not sure how they got these good reviews, but they sure won't get one from me! read more
