AUTOMATIC FIVE-STAR RATING! Okay, besides that, Now or Never is one of the few (if not only) comic book stores in Downtown San Diego. It's actually cleaner and more organized than the ones I frequent, but the relatively small size of the building means they don't have as much in stock as I'd like. Case in point, I wanted to show my appreciation for supporting SDCC by getting a couple of graphic novels of Trese and Usagi Yojimbo, but the ones I wanted weren't in stock. But, given how I was surprised to see a comic book store a few blocks away from the Convention Center, I can see myself probably checking it out again whenever I'm in the area.

Not only was this individual discouraging customers from joining the event but also was very negative about the product and this was while he was on the clock. His hygiene was also deplorable. I must admit I was skeptical about attending this event but after that experience I don't see how anyone would want to attend future events here. I will not be recommending this store to friends and I will most certainly not be returning ever again. I had only heard stories about these types of people online but seeing it in person really takes me out of it and never want to get into Magic the Gathering. I'll be trying other places that hopefully have a better staff.

They also have a dedicated area for people to play card games. The team running the store is friendly and helpful, and you can tell they care about the shop. I usually come in to browse their Pokémon singles, and I really like how organized their bulk cards are. The prices are affordable, and there's almost always a group of people there playing Magic or whatever game is featured that day.

I always love supporting businesses in the city I was born & raised in. But this morning completely switched my mind on that! Who ever worked 6/10/2026 this morning either didn't get enough sleep or hates his life. I called to ask if a certain variant cover for a new issue was in stock and he gave me the NASTIEST attitude, I was in complete shock. It wasn't what he said it's HOW he said it. As if I was an inconvenience, a customer? Maybe he was overwhelmed since there was 7 customers in the store like he stated but again he could've had way better attitude I mean it is 10AM lively up! I've worked customer service majority of my life and it's #1 priority for a business to thrive and keep customers coming back. Well, I won't go back here nor suggest this place to others…read more I had been a customer here for years, ever since they opened and have spent a decent amount of money in here in this time. This is primarily because my daughter loved going in here. Today was no different, I took my 7yr old daughter in. Almost immediately I noticed that they had a "Gaston" comic book which is a feature that focus' on Gaston from Beauty and the Beast. I so, ph that's cool and the guy behind the counter (the owner of the shop) stated that that Disney is doing a series on Villains. I thought that was an interesting perspective because a hunter protecting his town from a beast doesn't seem like a villain to me. Whoa, this guy got triggered. He became upset/irate and proceeded to tell me how wrong I am for having that perspective. The more I tried to engage him the more emotional and upset he became. He began to get so upset that became concerned about what my 7yr old daughter was witnessing. I stated that I was fine to have a conversation with him but I didn't appreciate being yelled at and talked over. He became more upset and I though it best to cut our shopping short and leave. On our way out, he thought it important to get the last word in and yelled "don't come back!" Well, my daughter became upset and cried her eyes out. The whole thing was traumatic for my kiddo and appalling for me. I can't imagine ever treating someone like he treated us, without any concern for my daughter and our business. I would suggest staying away from this place and the owner seems unstable.

I've been having them pull Comics for me for years and at times I have lagged on going in and my stack gets large, but I have been going in at let once or maybe twice in a month. Well the last time I went in to the Mission Valley location they said that my subscription was canceled because I had 7 months of back comics and they said that someone should have called me to inform me, if they called me which they did not, I would not have stopped by the store. I called to speak to Shannon or Ed but neither one was avaiable. I am now a,valued customer at Comikaze with a free 25% discount. SCREW YOU COMICS-N-STUFF.​

Prices are fair but expensive for Mexican standards not as expensive as spencers or mall places in the US. It's nice to walk in here and see all the cool different stuff that you will not see anywhere else. Great place to find a gift for someone.
