Instead, she heavily debulked my already fine hair and cut off several inches that I never asked to lose. I remember her turning me toward the mirror at the end of the appointment and instantly bursting into tears. I was devastated. My hair looked dry, uneven, and nothing like I had just left a salon. I was then ushered to the register and charged full price. Looking back, I still can't believe a stylist would let a client leave with their hair looking the way mine did. The photos speak for themselves: my hair was fuller and healthier before the appointment, and afterward I lost a significant amount of density and shape. I literally couldn't look in the mirror without crying for months. It has taken me a long time to regrow and recover from this haircut. I'm not writing this because I dislike Sabrina personally or because I'm seeking a refund. I'm writing it because I don't want someone else with fine curls to have the same experience I did (especially after spending over $200). This happened a while ago, and I sincerely hope her technique has improved since then. But based on my experience, I can't recommend her for fine curly hair.

I explained that my stylist was on vacation and I need someone to do my hair. She kindly told me her prices and policies as well as able to book me as her first client the next morning!. I was told about it as I was paying at the end :( but I was promised that I would get one next time I come even if it's not on Monday:). I went to the salon to see Emily based on all the previous reviews but when I got there she wasn't at work yet :( So I let another stylist do my hair Juanna she did good. This is a high heat process so please be warned, I have 4c natural hair and got it blown out straight. No heat damage thank god! this is not a style I will get regularly. I mainly did the blow out for the purpose of getting my ends clipped. I don't typical do heat on my natural hair one thing I was nervous about is that I didn't notice any heat protectant being used. Next time I will come with my own products to be on the safe side. ( I might be doing the most but so what)! She clipped my ends to my satisfaction ( they were clipped) not chopped. This is a real Dominican salon with majority Spanish speakers so there is somewhat of a language barrier, they have English speaking front desk staff but I'm not sure if they speak Spanish. The staff here was good overall I feel that they do good work and have good service. I think the shop is cute and I was quoted a price of $70 for the blow out, clip and flat iron. At the time of check out I paid $80. This was confusing but nothing to extreme for me. so come with additional funds or confirm the pricing up front. The wait time was not long at all, I will be a returning customer.

If you go in not knowing what you're looking for, you're sorta lost. There is a lady there that makes excellent recommendations, pretty sure she does hair. But she was busy! I was just there to get some ideas for my next style for my vacation. What made it weird, after I left and I was inside my car figuring out GPS directions, the owner was yelling at me rom a distance from outside my car, windows up, I could not hear him, he was still yelling, I put my window down and he was yelling that he shuts the gate (to the parking lot) so I needed to leave. Off-putting and rude because there was no need to yell. These stores have a reputation for rudeness. I've never experienced it, but I see what people mean. Go early, before closing so the owner does not bark at you to get off the property.

So she brought a personal wig of hers into the store, asked the store clerk if there were any comparable styles. We racked up about 6 wigs in which the clerk sent to the front for check out or so we thought. Towards the end of our shopping the security guard removed my mother's personal wig out of my hand without saying anything to me. I was on the phone at the time. So I was baffled. One of the other clerks helping us out went to him and accused of us of stealing. It was humiliating and the clerk cursed at us too when we asked her why could she be confused about anything? The manager was less than helpful he served more of a bodyguard and less in like a helpful and accommodating manager. I wont be returning there or spending any coins either. And I encourage any person who is thinking about getting anything here to not patronize their business.
