I've used GEICO since arriving to FL in 2015, and we finally got round to adding my dear Queen Bee into my auto policy. The reason for this is simple: she used a different insurer for over 30 years and they upped her premium by $600+/yr. No accidents, citations, nothing! Some good neighbor! So I visited GEICO office right round the corner from our home, barely a mile away. Let's just say these folks are a better neighbor for all that happened. We were greeted and served straightaway by Wanda R. who was a pleasant enough lady. She plugged in all my wife's info into their system, asked questions and explored options for discounts, etc. So after all that business going back and forth w. the computer and my own GEICO app...voila. The Queen Bee is now saving $900 a year for the same amount of coverage, or $75/mo. All this stuff adds up and since it never had been easy since the Rona, it only makes sense, friends! Office has its own cute little building on US 19 northbound service road just north of Belleair Rd. Inside is no real big deal one way or the other. It's an insurance office, so don't expect popcorn and balloons anyway. The associates all seem to have their own desks decorated and homey looking, so I'm sure that's a good clue as to how they run the place. All in all, I now believe I'm validated in my auto insurance choices since getting here to the Sunshine State several years back. Thankfully no claims thus far, and here's hoping it stays that way. Either way, these folks offered good, straightforward service in a timely manner. That's one thing I'd never expect from insurance brokers! read more

The worst customer service I've ever experienced and it's not even close. Discovered there was fraud through my credit card with geico, made geico aware of the fraud and they did absolutely nothing about it, didn't even stop the charges or investigate anything, I had to file a police report to get it corrected. Took on average 2 hours just to get through to a person each time I called and they were pretty much useless when I did get them on the phone. Garbage customer service 10/10 do not recommend using geico. read more

I've been a faithful customer. I used roadside assistant yesterday to mechanic shop. And he didn't know how to fix new model cars. So I just called Geico for another tow to dealer shop. And she refused to tow. Saying they only do one tow. I pay ridiculous amount of insurance for one vehicle. Never been in a wreck.And I can't get a tow. Wow . Just terrible. In 6.5 year's no claims no marks on my Or my wife's license. We move fr Az to Fl they jack me fr $1300 yr to $4300 annually!!! W T. F? A guy hits me fr behind The guy jumps out of his red racing car starts flailing his arms I ask if he's ok he flails again . I call the police ..officer asks us both if we our injured we reply NO 3days later geico adjuster calls & says has a lawyer. We both have Geico. She says lets hope you have enough coverage WHAT?? It is Geico that I am upset with. I've had Geico for 9 years, no accidents, no tickets, no missed payments and I also have the app on my phone to follow my driving. I have a 91 rating on the app and because I took a corner too quickly they dropped that from my account and my payments went up 77.00. I can't believe after have them for 9 years and no accidents they would take something as minor as that to increase my payments. I am definately looking around for another agent/insurance company. Most of them their prices are off the wall. I am on a fixed income and need something less expensive. I have to have certain coverage because I have a leased vehicle and have to maintain a certain level of coverage. If you use Geico I would be careful. They have no feeling for loyalty or basic safe driving with no accidents. read more

Cynthia called the next day to help but we could not talk till the following week because I did not have time that day. RE: Crown Kia collision shop - extremely disgusted with their collision shop!  I had an accident Nov 2019.  The car needed 2 tires and repair to the passenger side wheels (no cover on a culvert caused the damage)  The car was in the shop for an extended period of time.  The car had 22 K miles on it with (original tires).  When I went to pick it up on 11/27 I was told that they put on 4 "new tires" "WESTLAKE"  they only needed to replace 2 and they did NOT ask before changing the 2 original tires, however, they showed me they were replaced when done. That sounded good UNTIL a few thousand miles later in October 2020 when the first tire went on a trip while I was in Virginia. Cost $112.89, it was replaced with a FIRESTONE tire.   Prior to my trip North 2 days before leaving I took my car into Midas in St. Petersburg.  The tires were rotated, pressure checked lube oil filter etc.  The smart thing one does before a trip - there was NOTHING SHOWING at that time. Two days later, after a total of 6K on these tires, while I was driving North at 70 MPH in North Carolina (their speed limit) my car started vibrating.  It got worse,  I had to stop in Orangeburg SC and had to spend the night. The next morning I was told that the tire had pulled away from the steel belt.  They checked the remaining 3 WESTLAKE tires and they said another looked like it was getting ready to go.  They asked if I wanted it replaced. Of course I said yes. I had them take photos of the tires.  They replaced two of the WESTLAKE tires.  Cost $261.00. I continued driving, the car started vibrating again in Virginia near the WEST Virginia border.  I stopped at a NAPA repair.  The last WESTLAKE tires steel belt had pulled away from the tire - $ $93.16.  TOTAL Cost to replace there DEATH TIRES - $467.05.  I called the repair shop was told to call the insurance company since they had authorized the tires.  I talked to Trent Taylor the Geico agent, he said he spoke to Christina who took care of the repair issues.  She said I had AUTHORIZED the tires to be replaced.  That was not the case - I was told after the fact.  I called and left a message for Christina to call me on Tuesday June 1.  I have not received a call back.  The damaged tires were suppose to be replaced with the original tire brand that was on them - I was told they were not available by the repair shop man I spoke with originally.  REGARDLESS of who did what, NO ONE IS AUTHORIZED TO PUT ON DANGEROUS tires!  If you look up WESTLAKE tires you will see that these tires have had issues since 2006!  Why in Gods' name would anyone put these tires on a car.  Lives HAVE BEEN LOST BECAUSE OF THEM.  I want justice.  I am just lucky that I was smart enough to stop driving when I felt an issue.  If I do not get reimbursement for these tires I will be taking Crown to court!  NEVER EVER EVER ALLOW WESTLAKE TIRES ON YOUR CAR! I am a permanently disabled, retired USAF veteran. I had my insurance with GEICO for possibly a decade or so. Every 6 months they raise my rates despite no accidents, tickets, claims of the "because you live in Florida...." I have lived in FL since 1983 and It wasn't until the past 10 - 15 years that the premiums are raised every 6 months. I have a 2008 Hyundai Sonata SE that I bought new in July 2007. It has about 62,500 miles on it. The last couple of years I've checked other insurers for their premiums. I've read the nightmare reviews of Progressive but figured it is worth a shot. Does anyone else out there agree that if these large insurers like Nationwide, Allstate, State Farm, etc. offer homeowner's, auto, life insurance and others offer coverage in other states.... they MUST offer it to we Floridians. It's sad but odds are getting better daily for me to sell my house and find a new place to live. Florida is becoming a "politician's scamming the voters" state. The politician's here in Florida need to stop taking money from insurance companies to legislate in favor of the insurers. I am looking at options to living in the country which I served "faithfully and honorably" as a member of the U.S. Air Force. In conclusion the last couple of years Progressive has offered slightly cheaper premiums. I've listened to the "B.S. excuses from GEICO" and at the end of the day we shall see. I have heard stories of insurance companies offering discounted policies once you have left them and gotten a new insurer. Updates coming in the near future..... fingers crossed!! read more

With Geico for 40 years and never received a good driver discount or any sort of real discount. Year after year it was always increase. Any discount was a joke that applied to everyone if you did backflips and said you liked Geico. I had two small very minor claims on my RV in the last 36 months that amounted to less than $2,000 in damages. Our policy was reviewed and the premium for all three of our vehicles was increased by 43% overnight. We probably paid $100,000 in premiums over the last 40 years and this is how they reward you???? Check your policy at least twice a year. Geico didn't even have the professionalism to contact us to discuss why the rates skyrocketed for such minor events. We shopped at least five different companies and all were lower. We are just sorry we stayed with Geico for all these years. What a terrible company and a big waste of money. It also doesn't seem to matter to Geico's underwriters that we were at NO FAULT with one exception with the claim. They don't differentiate between FAULT or NO-FAULT. Pathetic. CANCELLED ALL POLICES TODAY and will advise my family and friends to get rid of this corrupt company before they steal your money as well. read more

So get this. My wife and I have had our two cars insured by GEICO for two years and I get a rate increase of $22 per month for the next six months even though we've had NO accidents or tickets. Okay, that's bad enough, but that increase went into effect beginning April 4th. I then get a notice that GEICO is giving policyholders a 15% reduction due to the coronavirus, but it's not effective unless you renewed after April 7th! I called GEICO and they confirmed that, with the lame excuse that it's too difficult to change the computer file and the discount won't be applied for six months until AFTER the next renewal on Oct. 4th. "But what if I don't renew with GEICO," I said to GEICO today by phone. "We need the help now, not six months from now that we'll only get IF we renew." The attendant essentially said we're out of luck and there's nothing that can be done about it. This is the way they treat a repeat customer ... and I wouldn't doubt it a bit if they again raise my rate Oct. 4th. read more
