The fellow who hit my car had Geico insurance. I did not. I submitted the claim to Geico. They reviewed it and expeditiously set me up with a local body shop (Crash Champions) and a car rental. They paid for the body work even though the cost was multiples of the original estimate. Nice working with them. read more

Unfortunately I have nothing good to say about Jeffrey Maddigan or Gieco at this time. I have been a faithful client for 3yrs and I get into one non at fault accident and unknowingly take my car to Liefs Auto and collision in Tigard. Not having any idea of what is to happen. Liefs accused One of Gieco's people of punching one of their own people. What a mess. Fast forward to today almost 4 months without my car and Despite the fact that all of this drama has nothing to do with me. I am left taking the bus to and from the airport for work . Just because the two of them are going at each other. I am getting the worst treatment ever from both LIEFS and Gieco. And my own insurance company won't extend my rental car or anything. Let alone the empty promises of a loaner from Liefs. They don't exist. Nor have they lifted a finger to assist with my dilemma. Just the worst . read more

I used geico for my homeowners. I I had two claims in a year and they dropped me. This is after paying premiums for 5 years without any claims. One claim was denied stating my policy didn't cover it. The other paid out $2k for water damage caused by a leak. They apparently cover you until you make a claim. I do not recommend geico. read more

Kyle Anundi is an amazing insurance agent with GEICO. My wife and I had our homeowner's and car insurance separated: home was insured with Allstate; cars were insured with Progressive. My wife received an email that our 12-month homeowner's policy was to increase by $186. We were dissatisfied with this and decided to shop new companies. We went to the GEICO site and were directed to the Portland, OR office and met Kyle. He walked us through a policy with better coverages and which cost $242 less for the 12-months. Furthermore, that was predicated on bundling car insurance which was quoted at $50 less for the year (24.50 savings per 6- month policy window). My wife and I are glad that we called and talked with Kyle. He assuaged our fears that the new policies would have less coverage for a higher price, which one can see was the total opposite. I would highly recommend GEICO to anyone who asked. The company is quite large, but they have local agents and someone that is not just manning a call center. read more

This was absolutely the worst experience I've ever had dealing with an insurance company, first I had to keep reaching out to them, when I was the one rear ended. Second Kevin the adjuster that handled the damage to my vehicle. Decided on his own to send out a paper check when he could have electronically issued the funds. He didn't ask me if that would be more convenient for me! When I've been waiting for over 2 months to get the damages to my vehicle repaired. It was the most horrible service I've had in all my life!!!!! If you ever get Kevin I suggest you ask for another adjuster! read more

A few months ago my I decided to start looking for a new insurance agent and new insurance company. I did my homework on Geico, but also did my homework on Geico agent Steve Ching. Short version: I could not be happier with the results of my visit to Steve's Geico office. Not only did I walk out with a rate significantly lower than what I was paying to a different insurer, but I also walked out with policies for auto and home that are much more appropriate for my needs - in some cases more coverage and in some cases less. Steve took care to teach us about every part of our coverage so that we truly understood what protections we were going to be paying for, rather than having to trust that the agent knew his/her stuff. He was professional, courteous, and without the condescension or arrogance that we had been suffering for three years with another agency. When my insurance rates with my previous provider got too high, I started to compare other companies - including Geico. The Geico agent in Steve Ching's office was very attentive in quoting rates and getting me set up with a new auto policy. However, when I went to add an umbrella policy I discovered that Geico doesn't offer umbrella insurance. They use a third party that is very expensive compared to others. Because umbrella is a must for me, I decided to stay with my current company and cancel my Geico auto. The cancellation did not go nearly as smoothly as signing up. The process was confusing, was not supported on their web site and required multiple emails and phone calls. As I type this, I am still on hold for the special Geico rep who can process cancellations. Now 45 minutes and counting.... Unfortunately this matches what I had heard about Geico - easy to sign up, difficult to get service and support. One last thing - when my old company heard that I was planning to leave, they re-rated my policies to rates at or better than Geico - plus they offer umbrella. I hope Geico will improve with more rounded offerings and better service after the sale. I can't really recommend them based on my experience. UPDATE - After taking almost an hour to wait on hold and cancel my policy, it ends up that the rep used the wrong cancellation date. A mistake that favors Geico. I don't have another hour to spend on this, so I'll just have to eat the extra premium. Hearkens back to my previous comments... read more

So, I'm not sure if I'm hitting up the correct Geico site or not, but I do all my stuff by phone and have never met with an agent in person. All my calls go through San Diego and all I can say is that no matter when I call or what it's for, these are the nicest people in ANY TYPE of service center, or call center where you are calling in for help with a service of some sort. So, like be it credit cards, or your power bill or whatever, first and foremost, the people who work on the phone out of the San Diego office, which is where I ALWAYS end up - are absolutely incredible. They are always congenial, very easy to get along with, never have any attitude issues and they all seem to genuinely like their job. I hear things like: " You know what, Joshua, I think we can help you with this..." and that is the good call and helpful attitude that I always get from Geico when I call them.
