As a man who avoids medical treatment and relies on brute masculinity to get by, the threshold for visiting an urgent care for a wound is high. After losing approximately 99% of my total blood capacity (give or take), it was determined that stitches were unavoidable. My wife wouldn't let me use the staple gun to perform the procedure myself, so off to urgent care we went. Upon arrival, I was immediately struck by how remarkably clean and modern the office looked. After just a couple of minutes for registration and another couple of minutes in the waiting room, I was called back by a very pleasant medical assistant - I believe her name was Nicole (I'm not 100% sure because I couldn't read her badge because I had something in my eyes, definitely not tears) who was patient and kind even though I wasn't quite myself that day and may have been a bit short with her, possibly due to the nearly complete loss of blood. She efficiently cleansed the wound and prepped everything for the PA, Rachel, who seemed equally pleasant. Rachel explained what her approach was going to be and assured me that this, in fact, a major major injury. Though I told her that the pain medication wasn't necessary, she numbed the thumb and put in 6 stitches. She then cleaned everything up and gave pretty clear instructions for the aftercare. I think that it is important to note that my wife complimented Rachel's suturing technique and thought she did a great job. My experience at the Milford Regional Urgent Care in Medway was surprisingly excellent from start to finish...even though I was only there for a total of 45 minutes. As a man who is slow to seek medical care, I would definitely recommend this urgent care, and Nicole and Rachel specifically, for your next major laceration repair.

She is amazing…read more I came in feeling super uncomfortable (TMI, but I was extremely constipated), and Maria immediately made me feel completely at ease. Not once did she make me feel embarrassed. Instead, she laughed and said, "Girl, it's okay, we all get backed up sometimes." That honestly made my whole day. Healthcare workers like her make such a difference. She treated me with kindness, humor, and genuine care when I was feeling pretty miserable. Give that woman an award! Seriously, Maria deserves recognition for the way she takes care of people. Thank you for making a not-so-fun ER visit way more comfortable than I ever expected.

ER Dr only x-rayed one leg. Even though I asked about the other, stated that was all they found. 2 days later (while in a make shift splint on the 4th floor) my son was still in alot of pain I asked the attending doctor to review the x-ray from when in ER. He flipped through his records and said " they didnt x-ray that leg!) My son was bruised from hip to toe, I showed the Dr and he ordered another x-ray. His femur and tibia were broken. He had gone 2 days without this being noticed due to the incompetence of the ER Dr. He was eventually transferred to MGH where he was properly casted and cared for. 2 weeks later my son was suffering from a blockage. Back to ER (unfortunately, needing ambulance transport due to bilateral casting and having to go by stretcher, Milford was only option.) He was admitted, he wasn't cleaned out properly and few days after discharge I was abled to arrange transportation to Newton Wellsley. He was taken care of there. Three months later, my son is suffering from acute insomnia. After working relentlessly with his psychiatrist with nothing working for him, on the 9th sleepless night, he became delusional, hearing voices, paranoid and seeing things that weren't there. ER did nothing. Had a behavioral clinician eval and sent him home. Unbelievable!

It was slightly difficult to find a gynecologist that offers the procedure. I believe the reason for this, is because women's healthcare is not prioritized in our society. Treatments for vaginal pain are often not even covered by insurance but erectile dysfunction medications are. And when it comes to funding studies geared towards improving women's health, I feel there is a lack of effort there. Due to this, I believe a lot of doctors shy away from a promising medical procedure that has helped so many people with vaginal atrophy and pain during intercourse. Dr. Bellucci was definitely not your typical doctor. More like a laid back hippy who happens to do medicine. The atmosphere in the office was definitely informal. Was not what I was used to. But when Dr. Bellucci literally put his finger on where it hurt and said "It hurts here, doesn't it?" I knew whatever eccentricities he had, he was the real deal, and he really cares about women's health. I had a great experience and am looking forward to returning for my follow up appointments with the mona lisa touch procedure. After just one session I'm seeing improvement. I can't recommend Dr. Bellucci enough to anyone suffering from vaginal atrophy or pain during intercourse. It doesn't have to be that way. You can get help and get cured.
