The breakfast of fresh fruit with fresh baked Italian breads and croissants and fresh honeycomb overlooking the valley was dreamlike . Barga , is about a 10 minute drive through fairytale landscapes to a multitude of restaurants and trattorias , charming is an understatement . I would highly recommend this fantastic hotel . My husband is premiere elite with Marriott bonvoy and is suppose to be automatically promised a room with the best view and our first room was just a brick wall. We went back to the front desk and said something esp since it was our honeymoon and they were kind enough to upgrade us to a terrace view. I will say if you stay here take advantage of the free breakfast but go out of town for lunch and dinner. We did dinner at the resort the first night and waited an hour once seated to order... you can go to the cute town in barga to go out to eat. Many delicious food we found and cute bars. The rooms are very nice! We did a couples massage one day and loved it. Love the vibe at the pool also. Will be back for sure!

It was spacious enough, but it was not something I would have chosen for myself. My friends statyed on a different floor, and their room wasn't bad at all. The quality of the double rooms is better than the quality of the single rooms. The food that was served, was edible at the very best. It's not a far drive from the main attractions of downtown Florence, but I would reccomend staying a nicer hotel. Room Tip: Get a double room, even if you're traveling as a single.

Other than that, I have not had much good experience in this place. The balcony is big and beautiful, but flooded with water. No one bothered to clean it up for guests. Breakfast was decent, but the dining hall could close without notice. leaving us peeping through the door and look for food. No service, no change of towels and no providing of shampoo supplies during our four day stay. They even turned off power supply to our room before we checked out at 9 am, leaving a totally dark bathroom. Don't make the mistake we made. Avoid this place.
